It was supposed to be changed to my brother's name via a disconnect and reconnect at the same time. There was not to be any service interruption. Now the service has been discontinued at his house. (he already had Bright Speed under my name and the right equipment) and the installation date is two days away. Very poor quality of service. I would never use Bright Speed again if they cannot correct this problem and have it installed today from my brother I will change services also although I was pleased with Bright Speed I would SUGGEST USING ANOTHER INTERNET SERVICE AND NOT BRIGHT SPEED.

But it has ramped up to the point where we have days of intermittent service and I work from home. I cannot tell you the stress in trying to drive around town to find an Internet connection so that I can do the bare minimum. It is affecting my income. The last few weeks have been awful and at least one full day per weekend nothing. We were told that Duke Energy was replacing poles and that was the reason. But what I've notice is that my area has been having this trouble for months since Oct 2024. We have 'troubles' in Laurinburg with certain issues but I have noticed that certain areas or neighborhoods take the brunt. I am white and live in a predominately black area. I love where I am and my neighbors are wonderful. But I noticed that for electricity and cable/ Internet we are generally the last area to get service. That's what's happening now. When I call friends living in the richer-white parts of town, they tell me they have service and that their service rarely goes down. I spoke with someone recently in the industry that claims this is an actual thing. If they need to pull power, they do so in lower income or minority neighborhoods. And some of us are the ones working from home. And we won't get reimbursed for all of the down time. Also, one of the last times in speaking with a cust service rep, she researched our area and even claimed that we had a disturbingly large amount of outages and also very strange. For this post, I had to wait 30 minutes this because it's been up and down 4 x in that 30 mins. I think we need a class action suit. Seriously . What could improve you ask???? Get Verizon in here.

They lied to us and their management explained that Comcast cannot be held responsible for what their employees tell customers. The only thing that matters is what they tricked us into signing.
