Where do I start? I have been a patient with this company for about 2 years now. I've had two sweet…read morepractitioners that come out to the home and they both take turns coming twice a month. They have done everything I've asked of them When it comes to getting x-rays and for me to find out about certain things that has put me . However, I still have a lot medically that has not been resolved. I have house calls, telehealth specialist and I'm gonna say it like this they're not worth shooting. They only want to do what they see fit either their way or the highway! For example, I have a lot of shortness of breath, and they wanted to give me oxygen which they did. However, it has not fixed the issue. Secondly, to top it off, they gave me oxygen without having a legal diagnosis as to why I needed it. The oxygen company that brought it out has been calling the past several months because appropriate documentation has not been done right. As a result, I'm gonna have to give it back to the company. I'm gonna tell you guys if you're ever in need of oxygen or anything like that please don't depend on this company. Go to a regular pulmonologist and get it done the right and legal way. Another thing I want this company does have a high turnover when dealing with people over the phone I think it's ridiculous. Lastly, I want to add this company loves loves loves doing facilitated visits. I absolutely hate it! Right now, I'm having to until God me to something better. In conclusion, this company does make up stuff about you as they go, just so they can make the big ! I don't know how they get away with all the stuff that they get away with, but they need to be investigated.

A Cautionary Review of Your Health / SC House Calls…read more I feel it's important to be honest: Your Health / SC House Calls is not a company I can proudly say I've worked for. In my experience, this organization prioritizes profits over people--particularly the elderly and individuals dealing with chronic illness. Rather than offering compassionate care, they appear to exploit vulnerable patients by scheduling excessive and often unnecessary visits, seemingly to maximize Medicare and Medicaid billing. Many patients have voiced their concerns, and some have discontinued services altogether due to these practices. The company brands itself as "Christian" and "Value-Based," but my experience did not reflect those values. From the moment I was hired, I was sold a dream filled with promises--company vehicles (only for those who align closely with upper management), remote work (rarely honored), and bonuses (heavily taxed and misrepresented). The reality was far from what was initially presented. One incident in particular stands out. A regional trainer entered our Spartanburg office and approached me with a hostile attitude, raising her voice and misrepresenting a physician's comments about my performance. I remained professional and chose to step outside to de-escalate. I later reported the incident to a statewide supervisor and was reassured that it would be handled. However, days later, on April 8th, 2025, I was abruptly terminated by HR over the phone without any prior write-ups, warnings, or explanation--only being reminded that South Carolina is a "right to work" state. I strongly suspect my termination was influenced by the trainer's complaint. I was not given a chance to share my side of the story. The imbalance of power and lack of accountability in that situation was telling. Sadly, it felt racially charged--especially within a company where African American employees are underrepresented, and where our voices are often labeled as "aggressive," while our white counterparts are met with concern and sympathy. I even overheard senior staff say they needed to hire "more Black people" for diversity, which felt less about inclusion and more about optics. Beyond internal issues, there are larger concerns within the company, including questionable billing practices, allegations of nurses and practitioners stealing patient medications, and discriminatory treatment of employees who do not conform to the internal culture. In summary, I do not recommend working for this company in any of their operating states--South Carolina, Georgia, or Florida. My experience was deeply disheartening, and I encourage potential employees to read other reviews on platforms like Indeed and Glassdoor. Many of the negative ones align closely with what I endured. Please proceed with caution.

Have been a patient with this company for about 4 years and that's ending after today…read more Because a service like this is so desperately needed here and because I personally need this kind of service, I've stuck with them even when I knew that the care was worse than one might get in a small village in a third world country. The promise, not the reality, of someone being able to come to your home to do your medical visits combined with the very real need of that kind of service has kept me with them for far longer than has been healthy for me. It's absolutely impossible to catch anyone for a callback at any time. With the vulnerable population that makes up their patient group, having an unreachable medical team's office is negligent and dangerous. They NEVER return calls no matter how many times you leave a message. I could go on about the problems one faces when you depend on them for healthcare but I will just finish by saying that they probably should memorize Nick Shirley's (the kid who exposed all of the fraud in MN) mug because they play very fast and loose with the billing.

The staff from housekeepers to…read morekitchen staff to management only have the concerns/desires of the residents first and foremost. (A good example happened today. A resident reported being (either positive for or a covid exposee. Quickly, a letter was published and delivered to all residences stating we are all (including staff) to be tested for Covid weekly. This afternoon, I received a phone message directing me to report to the health services for the test. Other (minute) problems have been dealt with quick and professionally. Is there enough to keep one occupied. Yes, if one is interested. Transportation to medical appointments or local shopping is available. The residents, on the whole, seem (to me) to be friendly, outgoing and caring individuals. Is it perfect here - of course not, but, IMO, it is certainly a cut above of other "independent living" facilities in this area. I recently had moved into another facility near here. Absolutely no comparison. When I was first looking for an independent living facility last July, I came across the website for Merrill Gardens. My only thought, at the time, was this place was so new, offered so much - that it was out of my price range, so I, to my regret, did no further price checking. (WHAT A MISTAKE). I wasted 4 months of my time. Are there negative points here. Of course, but they are minimal and easily foreshadowed by the positives. However, the negatives are, IMO, strictly personal. 1) The food, while quite good, is sometimes served lukewarm and 2) sometimes questions are answered differently depending on which member of staff is asked. If I were asked to give Merrill Gardens - Columbia a grade of 0-100%, I would not hesitate to grade it at 97% John Bruneel
