I had the best experience at Brightworks, from the ease of making the appointment and talking to the front desk person, to everything the hygienist did, speaking with Dr. Patel, and checking out at the end of my appointment - it was all very pleasant and I don't think I've ever said that about a trip to the dentist! The care provided was thorough (X-rays, photos, 3D imaging, cleaning, exam) but also gentle. I never felt in pain or uncomfortable. It was also nice to have a hygienist who examined my gums without shouting out numbers and stabbing me, and there were no condescending lectures - just good care and pleasant conversation. Dr. Patel was also very pleasant, friendly, and knowledgeable and seemed to be genuinely interest in what was best for me. Upon leaving I was given a nice welcome gift of not only the standard tooth brush, toothpaste and lip balm but also a cool tumbler. I absolutely LOVE Brightworks Dentistry. The practice has taken every imaginable precaution during COVID (pre-appointment screening, waiting in your vehicle when you arrive, temperature taken at arrival, disposable booties, plastic bag for your personal items, different entrance and exit doors). Dr. Robbins is just so caring and talented! My Dental Hygienist, Deb, has been with the practice for YEARS and does a wonderful job. She's gentle and thorough. The parking is FREE and plentiful, the administrative staff are helpful and welcoming. The Be Brilliant Club is awesome. They literally send birthday and holiday greetings to us! I recently changed from my long time dentist in Buckhead to Dr. Patel at Brightworks as this office is much closer to home and work. So far I have had 2 appointments and have been very impressed. Deb, my hygienist, is very personable and does a very thorough cleaning. Dr. Patel is also very thorough and explains exactly what she is doing before proceeding. This dental office is very high tech and all of their equipment is clean and new. They are also very diligent about taking precautions due to COVID. My wife and two adult children are also patients at Brightworks and all of us have had positive experiences. read more

I was a patient of Dr Gordon for over 30 years and had always been happy with this practice until she retired. Brightworks has no right in my mind to take credit for the business Dr Gordon built over 30 years. They are a money hungry corporate business without caring for their patients. Last February 2022, I was under the care of Dr Preston Shurley and for 6 months we were watching a sensitive molar I had. After cracking the tooth over the weekend, they quickly got me in to look at it as I was in pain. At first after examination, Dr Shurley told me I needed an emergency root canal and he was able to do it right then. At first I was surprised by this because in the past I've always had general anesthesia for a root canal and had it done by an oral surgeon. The office manager had me sign papers, and then we proceeded. After an hr, Dr Shurley determined that the root canal was not going to work, so now I needed an extraction. No problem, we can do it! Another round of paperwork and unbelievable fees.... Needless to say I was there for over 4 hrs, with the metal bracket in my mouth, no laughing gas (although at one point the hygienist said I would get it?) just a multitude of lidocaine injections (I'm sure it was over 20 times because I kept having sensitivity during the 4 hrs) and I ended up with full face bruising & swelling for over 3 weeks! No pain meds were given just Tylenol, and I had a mouthful of stitches. I would include a photo but don't want to scare anyone. At my 10-day follow up, nobody mentioned the piece of bone that was imbedded in my gum and it wasn't until at my cleaning (April) that Dr Shurley admitted it was left there from February. He said no worries, when we start your implant in June, I'll remove it at no charge to you! At this point I was sure I didn't want anymore work done by Dr Shurley or Brightworks! I did have a long conversation (with I thought was the office manager about my experience soon after my cleaning) and she was very supportive and assured me they would discuss it and would be in touch to fix the situation. No one ever called or sent me a letter. Nothing. For 30 years my family and I trusted Dr Gordon and now looking back to the last 3-5 years I'm disgusted by the treatment of these so called professionals. Their constant upselling, trying to get us buy into their plans, telling us we all needed nightguards....it literally has taken me a year to get passed this emotionally and physically scaring event to post this review. The best part of this story is we now have a wonderful, honest dentist at Northlake Dental Partners. I also have the most gentle, competent oral surgeon at Metropolitan Oral & Maxillofacial and my surgery was flawless! My implant is complete and I'm very happy. read more

I've been pleased with the new dentists, and I don't think they over treat. My care, including several crowns, has been excellent. The staff are courteous & responsive. I'm not sure how the bills compare to other dentists; I am happy with the quality of care. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Gordon's for 25 years , Dr. Robbins is mediocre at best and she tried to charge me $600 more for a crown that I had done down the street and saved $600.00 She quoted me for a implant it was $1000.00 difference from my new dentist ! read more

After 10+ years of customer loyalty, and three changes of ownership/ "management", I am finished with this "health services provider", because they act and counsel patients more as "Fee generators". They have implemented an annoying texting app that will not let up with the reminders and insistence that I "confirm. (Does "Reply STOP to unsubscribe" take me off the text list for one appointment or for all time?). Including one 90 minutes before today's appointment, insisting that I complete the same onerous health history (including SSN and DL numbers) that I provided last time plus a requirement that I read their patient visit policy that may or may not be the same as last appointment. Every visit is more expensive and includes recommendations for more work. Their preventative dentistry obviously doesn't prevent ongoing dental problems, so much as put more revenue on their income line" read more

They used to be 5 star and I second the deterioration at least till the latest change of ownership. We were going there for a couple of years till a change in the Dentist. Upselling become a common theme after that. They will now ask you to do expensive crown treatments and these came between different visits for cleaning and checkups. I stopped visiting for 1 year and they called up saying we have a scheduled appointment. After clarifying that there is no way we could have made an appointment more than a year ago. It became another money grabbing exercise. Now it seems that my insurance refused to cover for the last annual cleaning and X-Rays because we went over our coverage for treatments. And I am not so sure if those treatments are really required anymore. The latest request for money is likely the full amount without discounts to insurance as well. Typically other providers will give you discounts in such scenarios. They are just about money now so I will just blame my luck for not leaving when the original owner left. It was unfortunate since I always had a good impression of the staff and people there. If only the original dentist I went to was still around. If you are still going I think Dr Patel is still good and the Hygienist are pretty good. Just be careful during the upsells by others. 1 other comment, Covid prevention seems pretty good. read more

I LOVED my experience at Brightworks Dentistry. Dr. Robbins and her staff makes you feel safe during your visit by taking your temp, and sanitizing when you first walk in. It was my first visit, therefor they spent extra time with me by taking my x-rays and cleaning my teeth. Dr. Robbins did a great job showing me and explaining why I had to get fillings and a night guard. Evie Reiter did an amazing job measuring me for my nightguard. Dr. Robbins did an amazing job filling my cavities. She was really gentle during the procedure. I highly recommend using Dr. Robbins as your Dentist!! read more
