What, what, what? Seriously, stop reading this review and go to Brindi's immediately! Wow... We had the sampler platter, which was yum and then some. Crazy delicious Baba ghanoush. (I will share some of the completely pretentious, but true comments circulating at our table.) "I haven't had eggplant this good since Santorini." And the mushrooms. "Diners in Istanbul would be jealous of this dish. I had amazing mushrooms at that fab little place near the Blue Mosque, but these are now my fave stuffed mushrooms in the world." Yeah , Snowbirds, the chicken kebab is healthy and flavorful, but, "The lamb will transport your taste buds." Our desert was a Dubai delight. "The only thing that would make this dish more delightful and decadent would be to dust it with flakes of 24 carat gold." Stopped in for lunch one afternoon while in town. A small eatery, with a small interior dining space with a large outdoor area. It was a nice sunny afternoon so we sat in the outside seating area table with and umbella, a friendly and kind staff. A concise menu, thats very navigable with traditional mediterrean and turkish dishes. Started with the fresh hummus and bread, it was very good and a solid start to our afternoon. The the lamb kebabs seemd in order for lunch, served off skewer in a cast iron skillet, it was good and rich flavors but the lamb was a little tough. Overcooked most likely. Cute Spot, Attentive Servers and Amazing Food!! I found this amazing Jim when I was traveling to Tucson. The bistro itself is very cute, airy and open. The waitresses are very attentive and quick. We were just two people but we ordered feast not realizing the quantity of the food. The house bread was amazing. The sampler platter everything was delicious. My favorite voice babaghanouj. We ordered the fish which was lacking some flavor but was deliciously smoky. The chicken kebabs were amazing so soft and melts in your mouth. The lamb Kota and chicken Kota were both very very delicious. The meat was the meatballs were tasting amazing and the veggies were char and slightly sour I think from tomatoes. Recommendation: if money is of no consequence... then yes. We just moved here from Turkey a few years back so we're certainly apprised of the cuisines, flavors, styles and quality. This place does it very, very well. With several dishes, standard hot Turkish tea, it was a pleasant meal for the wife and I, all to expectations from the origin country! Presentation: The restaurant suffers however with decidedly minimal indoor seating, and the outdoor seating has an unrefinement to it including a lot of building/trash/surplus supplies off to the side of the main fence. The seating issue is the main problem and here in Tucson, you need more coverage, cooling etc.etc. and conversely, in the cooler days, there's limited heat. The inside dining is extremely compacted and very limited spacing. The Food: Extremely wonderful and on par with original Turkish cuisine, hands down. Lovely assortment of common dishes and the five or so various meals and deserts we sampled were stunning delicious. Unfortunately, this high quality meal, is certainly short on volume - for the price. Again, be mindful of the menu, it'll surprise you. Should you? Yes. Try it out. The customer service is also very note worthy. They are trying very hard and the quality and health of the food choices here are much better compared to the caloric and fat-laden food(s) of America. read more

Glad we stopped by for lunch after a morning in Madera Canyon - the food was delicious and filled us right up! We decided to try one of their pides and a wood fired entree to share. I've never had a pide before and really enjoyed it - it reminded me of a flatbread/open faced calzone. We ordered the spinach one which was filled with cheesy goodness in addition to spinach, bell peppers, and onions. For the wood fired entree, we had the chicken shish kabob which came with a side of rice and pita bread. The chicken was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. We dipped the homemade pita bread in the seasoned oil mixture that was in the shish kabob plate. The meal was filling, but we decided to order pistachio and walnut baklava to go because it sounded/looked so tempting. There were so many choices on the menu that we wanted to try so we will definitely back the next time we're in the area. read more

Huge portion. Came with a basket of bread- the problem the bread was literally raw dough in the middle. I am only giving you a one star review because it is ridiculous to deny a PAYING customer an item off your menu! All I wanted was a "pita" to enjoy the big sampler but I was told NO! Sorry, we only make a certain amount & can't "give" them to customers! First & foremost I was NOT asking to be given a pita bread, I was expecting to pay! Nonetheless, my first and last time! We got the chicken casserole; very greasy, and it was probably equivalent of one chicken thigh cut up in the dish. the arugula salad was wilted, but very delicious, and amazing vinaigrette!! This was our first time eating at Brindis Bistro. It was very good! It is a small venue but it has an additional outside eating area that was very relaxing with live music. We had the garlic shrimp, babaganoush and, tabbouleh appetizers. For our entrees pita sandwiches and shrimp shish kebabs. Everything was hot, fresh and flavorful. We had a party of 5. Three of us got most of their order. The other two in our party waited at least 7 to 10 minutes before we got our order. The remainder of the order was finally delivered to the first 3 In our part. We had asked for extra napkins to dry off the appetizer plates. No response from the waiter we asked. Her response was, we don't have enough plates. The plates are coming right out of the dishwasher. The quality of the food, with the exception of the dish, was mediocre at best. Made the trip from Tucson to try this place out and it did not disappoint. We had tzatziki with bread for appetizer, lamb kabobs and ground beef pide with cheese for entrees. The lamb was tender and flavorful. The pide dough was thin and ground beef mixture was very good. For desert, we had pistachio baklava and sekerpare, SO GOOD I got an order to go as well. Had a most delicious meal at Brindis this evening. I had the house salad with salmon and it was a perfect portion and the salmon was so good! Brindis is an excellent addition to Green valley since our last visit. My parents and their friends who live here have all been enjoying it too. We started with the appetizer sampler to share and discovered any one of the starters would be wonderful on its own. Everyone's entree was absolutely delicious, from meatballs, to lamb, and the trout! The portions are generous and the bread that is served with everything is delicious. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, obviously working hard to please everyone in the restaurant. It's relatively small inside, but they are working to expand the size. We've been wanting to come here since it opened and finally we made it. We should have been eating here a long time ago. First off, it's sized in classic middle eastern style, about 6 tables inside and a nice outdoor patio of about a dozen or so more. This is definitely ambience for the cuisine that deserves a high-five. Smart. The staff are super friendly and also, traditional in how they treat the customer. You are 100% valued and you aren't overwhelmed with service. It's discreet and kind. We love that. The wood fired oven is SUPER cool and fully professional. Loved watching stuff go in and come out and the chef working openly, without ego. Just doing what he does best. So it's definitely a place for small gatherings, definitely romantic, definitely hip. The food is insane great. Since it was 1st visit for us, we let our eyes betray our stomachs. We got appetizers of awesome dolmas, and the amazing mushrooms. Perfect in every way, super flavorful and delicious. We both got the shish kebab, hers was chicken, mine lamb. Hers came in juicy and tender, lovingly spiced and sizzling. Same with the lamb. Spice was perfect. One of the rare times I didn't need salt n pepper, the food simply shines. I got the iced tea because I was driving, old lady loved the vodka cranberry mixer. They also served a beautiful bread with sesame, olive oil and subtle flavors that just let it compliment everything. They seemed sad we didn't want desert; but we got sooo much great food, we couldn't. We promised that next time we will. And there will be a next time, and one after that and another and another....we have found THE spot to take friends or family when they come here to GV. We just finished a remarkable meal at Brindi's. Well-accustomed to traditional Greek fare, Brindi's puts a wonderful, flavorful, and deliciously surprising twist on some traditional dishes. First, the babaganoush appetizer was perfectly prepared. It was not overly seasoned (garlic), fresh, and was accompanied by a basket of bread which was perfect for scooping up every last morsel. My wife ordered the snapper which, again, was a generous portion that was perfectly prepared and came with a nice variety of seasonal salad and fresh vegetables that were charred (no, they weren't burned) in the wood-fired oven. My dish, however, was the standout. The server talked me out of the beef & lamb meatballs for the evening's special: moussaka, one of my favorites. OMG! The unique seasonings and beautiful presentation elevated this dish to become one of the best things I've eaten in a very long time. If this is on the menu when you come, ORDER IT!! Sadly, we had no room for dessert. However, the oohs and aahs we heard from other tables when their desserts arrived made us wish we indulged. Regarding the service, it was spot on and presented by some of the most eager-to-please and friendly people you can imagine. We will be back to Brindi's Bistro soon. read more

Staying Tubac for respite. Many restaurants closed, saw this place. 20 miles away. Went to grab some take out. As I got in, I was impressed with the wood fire stove. I was immediately greeted and an order was promptly taken. Ordered lamb kabob, hummus, and tzatziki. The lamb shishkabob was good but a small portion, rice well prepared. Hummus had texture but was lacking spice and flavor. Tzatziki was good. Only got one pita so ask for more. All in all a good first time taste of this place. I recommend the food. We are trying all of the restaurants in Green Valley as we have recently moved here. I have eaten in Mediterranean restaurants, but this one had a little twist, authentic Turkish food. We had the Mediterranean salad and the chicken pide. The pide, is similar to a thin crust pizza, but football shaped instead of round. Everything was yummy. Owner is from Istanbul, mentioned they are about to be open every day, including a forthcoming breakfast menu. Dessert of house-made (wood-fired) Baklava and Turkish coffee were the perfect bookend to our meal. Upon sipping the Turkish coffee, one person at the table said it tasted like what they enjoyed in Ethiopia. Another referenced her trip to Bulgaria, and the coffee taste took her right back there.
