I've eaten at a lot of places around here, and Pub 1922 never disappoints. Their fish and chips are easily the best in town. Crispy, fresh, and packed with flavor every single time. Their burgers are HUGE, and packed with flavor! You can tell they take pride in what they serve. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and makes you feel like a regular, even if it's your first visit. The beer is always ice cold, the restrooms are clean, and the whole place has a welcoming, laidback atmosphere that's hard to beat. If you're looking for great food, cold drinks, and genuinely good service, Pub 1922 is the place to go. I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

We visited Pub 22 for dinner after not having been there in a long time. After being seated, we waited approximately 20 minutes before anyone came to the table to greet us or take our drink and food order. During that time, other guests who arrived after us appeared to receive service before we did. I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, and my wife ordered the chipotle chicken Alfredo. The food arrived about 15 minutes after we ordered. My sandwich was acceptable, but the chipotle chicken Alfredo was not prepared well. The chicken was overcooked, and the sauce had thickened to the point that it affected the texture of the dish. My wife was unable to finish it. We were also there during happy hour, which was supposed to include $2 off all drinks. After reviewing the bill, the drink discount did not appear to be applied. Because of the amount of time we had already spent waiting, we chose not to raise the issue at the restaurant. After asking for the bill, we waited about 10 minutes and had to call the waitress over again to request it. Based on this visit, we do not plan to return to Pub 22. We try to support local businesses, especially since there are limited dining options nearby, but the service, food quality, and billing accuracy during this visit did not meet expectations. read more

We tried several different things and shared around the table. The food, was just ok. Each thing we tried (nachos, Brussels sprouts, chicken strips, hot dog, fish n chips, pizza) was mediocre. Stopped here while chasing some of the post-monsoon thunderstorms. They have a great beer and food selection on the menu. The space is very comfortable and friendly. Our server, I didn't get her name, was also very efficient and pleasant. I had the grilled chicken sandwich without mayo and they did a great job. The fries were a good sized portion but not overwhelming and had enough salt just to keep things interesting. Went there for a UA basketball game. They had all the tvs tuned to the game and the sound on! The food was great, especially the nachos, but the tacos, wings, and salad were also really good. Service was friendly and fast. Going back tomorrow for another game day. read more

First timers. And it was a hit!! The host at the front was very sweet and accommodating to our needs. Our waiter was cool, he was very polite and knowledgeable about the food, which was a plus. He was also very patient with us because we were indecisive about which drinks to get. Even with having a big party, our food came out in a decent time and was hot. Stopped in after doing the ASARCO mine Tour nearby - we had never even heard of the spot. It was after the lunch crowd but before dinner so it was pretty empty- but the space was clean and relaxed. Our waiter was super friendly and gave us great deink suggestions. We happened to order the exact same dishes as a table near us and we all laughed and agreed it was all pretty tasty. It is a far drive for us normally but I can confidently say if I was in the area I would go back. The Philly cheesesteak was so good I made my husband share. In terms of the menu and the food, I wish they would put a lot more effort into the Pub as they would with their other restaurants. Charro steak off of broadway in Tucson is amazing and has the same owners, why is the food at the pub 1922 significantly WORSE? I don't understand the bad reviews. I'm glad we took a chance. We were sat immediately, our server was Ananicia(??). I know I got that wrong‍. She was on top of things! It looked like she was the only server in this busy place but she did a great job! The food was delicious, I highly recommend the Sahuarita dog. We also had the Brussels and bacon which was just as tasty. It was lunchtime so we didn't have beer but they have plenty of choices. The decor was cute with the barrels. And last night we got the ultra tiny menu(not sure what that was about, day of the week, time of day?; who knows), which was a choice between a burger or a chicken sandwich(barely any sarcasm in this depiction). Most of our party ordered the fish and chips. To me it looked like they were frozen and came out of a box. The meals came out fast and every piece of fish looked exactly alike. The taste was subpar.You get better fish and chips at Culivers for a lot less money. Four of us stopped in yesterday for a late lunch - nice place! Good parking, as they are located in a strip mall. Nice and spacious indoors with 1/2 barrels hanging from the ceiling (see photo). They have a good selection of on-tap beers, both craft and traditional (Bud, Mille, Coors, etc.) The menu is typical bar good: burgers, wings, nachos, etc. The ladies split a full order of the nachos with chicken, and it was so big they couldn't finish it all. They said the chips were great, really crunchy. Jeff had an appetizer order of wings with 2 different sauces and enjoyed that. I had the burger Rancho Deluxe (see photo) and it was too tall for me to open my mouth wide enough, even when I scrunched it down. It was excellent! Service was fine - they were prompt, refilled waters, brought the check promptly when asked. I would come back when in the neighborhood. 22 Beers on Tap for the Beer Lover in You This is located in the Fry's grocery store complex off of Rancho Sahaurita Blvd. It has nice patio area in front to enjoy when the weather is warm. The iron furniture has great comfortable seat pads thoughtfully in place in order to spend long periods of time enjoying their many offerings. While not out the day we visited, I suspect table umbrellas are in place when the temps heat up. Inside is very comfortable and the long bar has shades and windows that can open to bring in the outside. Lots of TV's for sports fans. As the name implies, 22 bears on tap - something for everyone. And just as the beer menu, their cocktail menu shows the prices for their drinks as opposed to so many places forcing you either asking the server for drink prices or accepting whatever the price is when the check comes at the end of your visit. Frankly, I like their approach. On this visit, I took advantage of their Happy Hour beer special. Unlike other Happy Hours that are Monday through Friday, their Happy Hour is everyday, 2-6 pm, $2 off every beer and bar drink. I give them kudos! On a previous visit we tried the Brussels 'n Bacon which was very tasty. While the menu has many selections, we've just had beers and Starters. I don't think you could wrong here. read more

The wing Wednesday was pretty disappointing. Only 4 little boneless wings that you could eat in 30 seconds. The entrees were pretty good but didn't really blow me away. Everything seemed slightly pricier than similar pubs, even the coors lite was pricey (and they don't do pitchers or buckets which is weird for a sports bar). Plenty of TV's. Stopped in here today for lunch. The atmosphere was fun. Had multiple TVs with different sports on that you could watch. They have high top tables, low top tables and a bar you could sit at. So if someone is in a wheelchair could get in there easily. They also had outdoor seating. I ordered the chicken fingers and fries and my husband ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries. We also got the fried zucchini. The fried zucchini was great! And the ranch is really good! The chicken fingers were hand, breaded, but did not have a lot of flavor. So you definitely had to dip it in some thing in order for it to taste OK. The pulled pork sandwich was really good. It had onion rings and cheese on it with a really good prickly pear barbecue sauce. Would definitely stop in again if we were in the area, but probably wouldn't drive out of our way to go there. read more

Yesterday early afternoon, a Wednesday, was my third time here. A good hiking friend of mine is moving to West Virginia in a week and we got together for a farewell hike in Madera Canyon and then came here to eat. She is gluten intolerant and appreciates the many gluten-free items on the menu. The place also has a shaded, dog-friendly outdoor patio and we had two dogs with us. This place can get loud during sporting broadcasts but it was quiet this time. Our server was very attentive. Even the manager Sam came by several times to make sure everything was fine. I ordered a Greek gyro wrap, (presented as a Greek salad on pita bread) my friend had fish tacos and two others had the pub burger. The fries were delicious and quite large. I also had one Barrio Porter, one of 19 craft beers on tap. We were there for over two hours talking. Our server made sure we had water refills. Masks are required to enter this place. read more

Sahuarita does not have many options for casual sit down dining. Thankfully 1922 fits the bill. Solid menu, good variety. We've eaten our way through it all and have never had a disappointment. Great beer selection and a super friendly staff. When the weather is nice the patio is a great option. Recommendations include the Meatball Sandwich and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with the Prickly Pear BBQ sauce. The regular Buffalo is classic Frank's and it's quite good. But the Prickly Pear is where it's at. read more

The food is mediocre at best. My gyro was in a cold pita right out of the bag. Skimpy pre-cut slices, the fries were sparse, oily, and limp. My husband's fish was over fried to dark brown. Meh.
