First and last time renting from this company. Nice enough, but I rented a single kayak, as pictured on their website, and confirmed via email. They delivered a large double tandem kayak, at 1230 in the afternoon, when other companies deliver by 9 am. It gets rough, so the earlier the better. They said delivery time isn't guaranteed. Ok, but three hours later? The big issue tho is that double tandem was way too much for my husband, ( and myself) I asked to replace with a single, and they would not. I guess they ran out of single kayaks, but then should have let me know, given a refund, and let me rent elsewhere. It was Valentines/Presidents so the other outfits were sold out of single kayaks. rent a SUP from another place, and this was the first time he decided to kayak during to knee issues. So, I rented what I was confirmed via email as a single kayak for a week. However, we couldn't use the bigger double kayak at all, and they would not swap it out. They would not give a refund. WOW! Do NOT use this company. It appears something has changed significantly from their 5 star reviews. My husband tried to pre-order some boogie boards and snorkels for our trip to Maui. The confirmed delivery was more than a day late. Okay, no worries, we made do--we didn't even complain. Then, we get the equipment and one of the masks instantly breaks when we tighten it! Sigh, okay, again .. we will make do. Super frustrating that our confirmation indicated the delivery we had wanted but we had to spend part of our vacation figuring things out. (Are you coming, are you not, are things going to be broken, etc). Then, the pick-up (of the items) seemed like it would be seamless, but we got home and found out ..now that was messed up also! Again, no big deal. Things happen! Yet, once my husband called to address all of the issues with our reservation, Wes, was less than helpful. Not only was he less than helpful. He tried to put blame on my husband, on the computer, and had the audacity to call my husband a narcissist! What in the actual ?!? Excuse me?!?!?! We literally reserved our items in advance, the company confirmed and the company said they delivered it, even when our hotel said it didn't, then they delivered a mask that broke. From there, they picked up late and then had the audacity to belittle and berate my husband for their mistakes. There are so many stands you can instantly grab these items from. I'd NEVER use this company again. Misunderstandings happen. We were super understanding when our delivery was late and when the mask that came broke, but once you start blaming the customer for your mistakes, that's a problem Save your money. I will recommend this to all my friends. It was so easy. Just picked what I wanted. Guy called me morning of my scheduled drop off and let me know when they would arrive. Was very friendly. Gave me some tips. And I was on the water. With the 3 paddle boards and my kids. Day of pickup he called and gave me a heads up he was coming. Picked it up and that was that. Great quality, great customer service, easy and affordable. Highly recommend you check them out. Might do boogie boards or kayak next time but will call them for sure. read more

In Maui for the week and we wanted to rent some kayaks or something to have fun with out on the water. We contacted Bring Me A Kayak and they were more than helpful. They brought the kayak to our condo, helped load it onto our SUV and provided pads and tie down straps for the car at no extra cost. 10/10 recommend! read more

Helpful and responsive customer-focused business! I reserved a kayak for my daughter and they were super helpful with where they would deliver the kayak. They even offer a soft rack for your car! When we arrived on Maui the water was very rough and so I opted to cancel our kayak for safety concerns. "Safety first!" was the pleasant reply I got and they gave me no hassle about canceling. I cannot recommend Bring Me a Kayak higher. The customer service and dedication to the enjoyment of their customers is unbelievable. I had the equipment I had rented stolen, which was an awful experience to have while on vacation. Garrett helped me through the process of filing a police report. He was well within his rights to charge me for the lost equipment and he didn't. I had rented three pieces of equipment which will cost him thousands to replace and he didn't charge me anything. On top of all of this, stand up paddle boards and kayak were so much fun while we had them. Drop off was a breeze, Garrett met me at my Airbnb with the equipment and showed me how to use everything, which is super simple. My husband and I love this place. Super easy to book and great communication. We rented two paddle boards and paddles- they arrived on time to our cottage in Kihei. They also provided us with a cable lock so that we could secure the equipment overnight. Everyone that we dealt with- from the guy dropping off the kayak to the people in the office was super nice and helpful. The kayak was great, the people were super nice and very communicative, and the drop-off and pick-up were seamless. They delivered the kayak right to the beachfront and locked it for me, then gave me some tips, which I appreciated being new to ocean kayaking. You don't even have to be there for pick-up; they let you know when they're coming, and send you a receipt afterwards. I will do this every time I come to Maui! read more

We were in Kihei for a week and I wanted to rent a standup paddle board but my husband wanted to rent a kayak. We called up Bring me a kayak and they delivered one of each to our condo within the hour. They also provided an extra seat and paddle so we could convert the kayak to a two person kayak so I could chose either activity. Even though I had done stand up paddling before I asked for a quick refresher and was given some excellent pointers which made my paddling time more enjoyable. They provided combination locks for the equipment and the return was no hassle. They picked them up from the condo without us having to be there and sent us a message when it was done.
