We booked a 7 AM crater snorkel and turtle town cruise. They have a photographer on site. She took pictures of us from the very beginning. If you want more she'll give you an orange band which signals her to look for you while she's walking around boat and while snorkeling to take your photo. She charges $95 for all the photos, you pay afterwards so you can see the photos. I was no impressed with the quality and so many people in the side of photos that made the photos look terrible she didn't have us move or anything - for example, in one photo it looks like two people are being intimate. We didn't bring our camera since we held out high hopes for her based on the examples she shows. The cruise breakfast was phenomenal. They serve hot breakfast eggs, two types of sausage, pastries, fruit and rolls. Turtle town was our first stop and we only saw about six total turtles, disappointed for the almost two hours we were there. Afterwords they served veggies for a snack. Then we went to crater island you can see a lot further down lots of fish get close to you. The boat has slides which were a lot of fun. The jumps off the boat were also great for adrenaline junkies. After crater they served lunch which was chicken and turkey croissants and pulled pork sandwiches, chips and ice cream. They up-charged us for picking the glass bottom boat and it was only 4 windows in a small area that was glass bottom so not happy about that. However I do feel like the cost was well worth it! You get a 6 hour tour with two meals and snacks! read more

Tl;dr As a tourist, the shop may not be the cheapest in the area but it more than makes up for it with knowledgeable staff (namely Michele) which provide tips and local insight to make your visit that much better. Also, cinnamon buns next door, how can you resist? ~~~~ Up front, I'm a tourist to Maui. Top of the list for my wife and I was the snorkeling and beaches which meant we needed to find a rental place for our snorkel gear. There were dozens of options to choose from in the Kihea area and even more websites to comb through. Let me tell you though, this shop was the place to go for one key reason: The staff, specifically Michele. This is a one woman shop. Its only Michele handling calls and customers. So a bit of patience might be required as you wait your turn for service. It is well worth the wait. Michele not only hooked us up with what we were looking for, namely, snorkel gear, but she also gave us tons of helpful advice that made planning our snorkel excursions over the next two days smooth and rewarding. If you're like me you probably already had done online research on where you wanted to go and what you wanted to do. But Michele helped me refine that understanding. Choosing different beaches for different circumstances and helping me take multiple variables that I, as a visitor, just didn't account for. But then it got even better because after setting us up Michele turned us on to local food spots that have so far been the highlight of our trip out on the island. She even helped us find discounts for those spots. It was a dream to have that kind of local knowledge to pull from. Yeah we could have gone to any of the other snorkel shops to get gear (maybe even get gear cheaper) but I'm so happy we went here. Come here, enjoy a cinnamon bun from next door, and chill out while you setup your gear. And chat with Michele or whoever they have staffed onsite. The tips are worth more than a couple of snorkels and fins. read more

Racist and uncalled for. I didn't notice there was a sign that read associate to assist with snorkeling gear. I saw the snorkeling masks hanging and I thought it was self service I also saw a huge line in-front of me with people holding goggles. As I approached the register the woman named Michelle asked if the mask was my size and I told her I think so. And then she proceeded to tell me I'm blind def and dumb. I was stunned and shocked I then said "excuse me"? She repeated it "your dumb blind and def I saw the way you drove in" and I dropped the umbrella and started walking away. She began apologizing and I was so livid I couldn't stand the sight of her. my wife's family is from Hawaii and she lived here during her childhood and would tell me all about how friendly the locals were. I am a first generation immigrant who migrated here from post civil war Cambodia. We dealt with racism in everywhere back home. But here, Maui? Out of all places. Really shameful. We were devastated to find out that all the excursions were booked months in advance during this time of the season, especially with Covid and most Americans choosing to travel to Hawaii instead of other international vacations. Here we were, in Maui for the first time, but unable to get into any "must eat at restaurants" or get on any "must experience or see excursions" ...until we walked into this local store hidden away in a plaza. George, the gentleman behind the counter, was able to find me some cancellations immediately, which I jumped on and purchased immediately! He then called me up the next several days as new cancellations appeared in the system and thanks to him, my little family of four, were able to do Ziplining, and 3 different snorkeling trips on boats. If I can give 0 stars I would. My husband wanted to rent some beach gear (snorkel,umbrella, etc) and essentially grabbed everything, but did not see the little sign posted to ask for assistance first. He apologized to the store worker Michelle, but she then said "look we understand that you are blind, deaf and dumb". My husband was taken back and asked what she said, and she repeated the same thing in front of all the other customers. The lack of customer service and respect is disgusting. I advise you to go to the other beach rental places near by, especially if Michelle is working there. So so rude! read more
