I know many other "COVID brides" who struggled with coordinating date changes with vendors, so I am so thankful that Heather always made it work for us and kept a positive attitude about everything. As far as her actual work, Heather made us feel so comfortable both during our engagement shoot and the wedding (we are shy, nerdy people who are not comfortable in front of a camera). She is friendly, very easy to talk to, and guided us perfectly as we awkwardly walked while holding hands, stared into each others' eyes and attempted to hug like human beings. I decided to propose to my girlfriend at the Griffith Observatory and since I knew no one in California I decided to hire a photographer to capture the moment. Heather was easy to talk too, excited to be apart of the proposal and trusting of her. Steven was incredibly patient while I spoke with my doctor, showed genuine empathy and compassion, and somehow turned what could have been an overwhelming experience into one that was comfortable and even enjoyable. It was difficult to hide my sadness, yet Steven had a remarkable ability to make me smile naturally. The photos turned out absolutely beautiful. Even though it was a professional headshot session, one candid photo of me with a genuine, natural laugh touched my heart. I loved it so much that I asked Steven to include it as well because I wanted to keep it as a cherished memory and share it with my family. This is a long due review. We had the pleasure of working with James for our wedding photos in…read more2023. James was absolutely the hardest working vendor at our wedding. He arrived on time and worked his camera tirelessly for almost 10 hours capturing our entire wedding. He even kneeled on the ground to take many of our photos which to this day we are still amazed by his professionalism. Great work ethic as well. You would think for a 10 hr event, many photographers would take several breaks but not James. He took so many photos and urged us to take more pictures. Communication was fast, responsive and stress free. We were very comfortable with him on our big day as well as for our engagement photos. The only thing I would mention is to practice poses ahead of time, some were a little repetitive and lacked the "instagram wow" feel but if you're someone not good with posing, James will give suggestions so don't worry. The best part is you get to keep all of the photos not just the selected edited ones. I now realized not all photographers will give you the entire gallery which would be a huge disappointment for your big day. I like his editing style which is realistic and authentic with enhanced color. As many mentioned, turn around time was super fast. James also made several small edits to our final gallery to make the pictures even better. Pricing was reasonable. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Oxana Alex's photos are my absolute best pictures and the warmest memories I will cherish for a lifetime. The Session & Atmosphere This time, we had a maternity photoshoot at 30 weeks. I am currently pregnant with our third child. We took photos of just me, and also with my husband and children. The session took place in late October 2025 and it went simply wonderfully. Oxana is the most gentle, caring, and patient person; she creates a beautiful atmosphere on set. Hair and Makeup Oxana had an incredible makeup artist who works for various brands, but mainly has been a makeup artist for the House of Dior for many years. I had the pleasure of having my hair and makeup done by her. It was stress-free, all on time, and the hair and makeup were simply stunning. Why Oxana Alex is the Best While deciding on my concepts, I looked through the portfolios of all the photographers in LA and can confidently say that Oxana's work is the best. Oxana and her studio have undeniable advantages: 1. Unmatched Professionalism and Lighting The key to a beautiful photograph is the lighting setup. I don't know how she does it, but all her photographs, even before editing, look absolutely perfect! This speaks volumes about her skill, technique, and camera equipment. 2. Extensive Premium Wardrobe Oxana has a huge wardrobe of premium items that she offers to clients for their shoots. You can be sure to find jewelry and looks for any creative idea, and it will look cool and stylish. The most difficult part for me was coordinating outfits for my family of four without a stylist: finding, ordering and trying on. I was so happy that I didn't have to put together my own outfit at all! I only bought underwear and one white blouse for myself. That's it! Everything else was provided by Oxana and fit perfectly. I also didn't want bulky dresses, as I feel they are going out of style; I wanted to be a stylish pregnant mom with more of a fashion focus. Thanks to her extensive wardrobe, we were able to achieve this as well as beautiful maternity gowns. 3. Professional Eye and Industry Experience With over 10 years in the industry, mostly shooting major bloggers and celebrities for covers, Oxana has a huge aesthetic background and an incredible sense of taste. She helps with posing and facial expressions. Even if you are not a professional model, it's impossible not to become one through her lens. 4. Unique Photo Delivery Policy The fact that she gives you all the successful, unedited photos is truly unique for Los Angeles. You only have to choose which of the many great photos you want edited. When I sent the unedited pictures to my relatives for help choosing, they didn't understand why they even needed editing?! That's how good the originals turned out! Again, this is due to the perfectly set lighting, her technique, and her professionalism.
