Located in the city, 5 to 7 minutes away from Flinders Street railway station by train (Melbourne, Victoria). A cute, nice, fancy French bakery/cafe in the city, nothing can be better than spend a free day with your friends/love/family at Laurent. Services and staffs are great! I didn't have to wait for long, they take good order, and give you great recommendations, and ask for your opinions after. It was already full by this stage and had a constant stream of locals grabbing donuts for the morning. We ordered a ham and cheese croissant, egg and bacon bun and a coffee. The coffee was fantastic. Could not fault. The bun and croissant were delicious, the scramble in the bun was especially good. We sat was a little watching the steady stream come and go before grabbing some take away baked goods. We got all 3 donuts flavours with the favourite being hot cross bun donut. Donut dough with sultanas and filled with custard. Amazing! We also grabbed a choc chip marshmallow cookie. The size of my hand and absolutely delicious. I could live off these! Moderate room inside to sit and a few tables out. All the food is able to be taken away and it also runs as a standard bakery with beautiful artisan breads. We will definitely be back soon and it's now our go to place to pick up treats when visitors come over.

The regular croissant was good , but honestly it was very similar to what we normally get at the South Melbourne Market. The almond croissant, however, was amazing..incredibly rich and flavorful. The caramelized one was the standout for me. It was easily the best one we tried. The texture and flavor were incredible. We arrived at just the right time and barely had a wait, but a line started forming shortly after, so timing definitely matters. Overall definitely worth trying!

Also, this is a pretty average price of a croissant or pastries at most coffee shops in the states, especially considering it's located next to Chanel and Dior. I think I half expected these to be over-hyped because of the bougie location and who's who status of these croissants. Because this place is pretty tiny, their offerings are limited to jaffles, soups, salads, and baked goods, but they're delicious! I've had three of their jaffles -- the Mexican jaffle (black beans, salsa, and guacamole -- you can add vegan cheese too if you ask nicely); the avocado, vegemite, and cheese jaffle; and the jerk jackfruit and chili pineapple jaffle. They're all tasty but the Mexican jaffle is by far my favorite -- don't miss it! The jaffles are inexpensive and super-filling. You can also get them on gluten-free bread. For their coffee, vegans can choose from a wide variety of non-dairy milks including soy, almond, coconut, rice, oat, and macadamia. I haven't tried any of their baked goods yet, but many of them are gluten-free and vegan and I've heard from others that they're delicious! Everywhere else you'd better get that toasted. Also, NEVER order a bagel in England.
