We have been walking this area for many years. It has seen quite the decline, or rather, zero incline. There are homeless RVs and many others clearly living in vehicles down there. Huge trash bins now, whereas people seem to be dumping we saw. Dogs were defecating on the ice plants and tearing up the already patchy grass. The Women's bathroom was occupied by a woman saying it was 'closed', as it seemed she had 5 people in there washing up. Oyster Point is a far cry from this decrepit marina. Clean, beautiful landscape, no public bathrooms besides one on the end, which is probably why there does not seem to be the homeless issue. Soon it will look like the Tenderloin. They need to do better. read more

This is the northern-most marina on the Peninsula before San Francisco and the harbormaster and staff are FANTASTIC. We had a 44' sailboat here for Thanksgiving week and also stayed one night on the boat. Harbormaster, Andrew was always on site to say hello and was very responsive by email for reservations. Mollie and Chris were professional and helpful too. The marina has 7-11 feet of depth at zero tide, but the channel just outside the marina bottoms out at 5.5 feet at zero tide. We would definitely stay here again because it's possible to sail to Angel Island and the Golden Gate for a day trip. Why the 1-star deficit despite our overwhelmingly positive experience? Compared to other marinas in the SF Bay, there are a fair number of liveaboards in Brisbane and the vessels and owners are varied; my neighbors were very kind, but the water quality overall was visibly impacted. The docks are safe, but not in tip-top form like at marinas that can afford staff to scrub them every time a seagull makes a visit. Many dockboxes had lights that were not working so walking the docks at night needs extra attention. There was plenty of parking for guests. Thanks again. read more

I had a frustrating experience with Andrew Rehberg, the harbormaster. He seems to have a personal bias in deciding who gets a slip. When I tried to get a slip there, he requested absurd requirements like my bank statements and pay stubs to see how much money I make, along with a survey. He then refused my application, stating that I "make enough money but also spend too much." Be prepared for rejection if he doesn't like you. read more

What better way to wake up than to a beautiful view of the San Francisco Bay! This marina offers an amazing look at the sunrise and sunset. Plenty of running space along the public trail and a small exercise area equipped with a pull up bar, bench and blocks. Need some fresh air? The marina is a nice place to take a peaceful walk. There are wide clean paved pathways with an occasional exercise station. There were people of all ages enjoying their time here. The marina has room for almost 600 boats. They can accommodate boats up to 120 Feet Long. There are some impressive looking yachts docked. This is the closest marina to San Francisco. There is a 300 Foot Public Fishing Pier. Today I came upon a few guys fishing from the shoreline. One of the guys received a nice bite on his Fishing Rod. He ran over to it and had a couple minute battle with a Stingray. You can see the San Francisco Skyline from the Northern part of the Marina. You may see people on Jet Skis as well. The San Francisco Bay Trail runs on the North Side of the marina. read more

I lived aboard my ship on Dock 3 for a couple of years here. My experience of the marina involved no bullshit to speak of - the harbormaster was fair and kept an eye out, and at one point while I was away they even re-positioned my ship during a wind event after a cleat came up out of the dock. Good folks. The pricing is fair for the area, and the marina is situated within walking distance of an upscale Starbucks, which is great in the mornings. read more

Even though I don't have a boat yet (saving up for the liveaboard!), I love love love the park that runs alongside the Brisbane Marina down to Oyster Point. I even dig that you have to go through this weird office park to get to it. My favorite spot on a warm day is this picnic table just past the last set of bathrooms on the north end (before the fishing pier). You have great views of the Bay, but the industrial side of it, which I think is interesting. There are mature trees which break the bay breezes, and so the whole setting is placid and serene and unpopulated by the masses. There are barbecue grills as well, but I haven't tried inviting anyone down there for a picnic- I don't know if they'd be able to find it. read more

This is a nice and usually quiet marina, now with good internet. Main issue is in contrast to the super office staff (reason for 3 stars) is the bipolar harbor master. You never know if he's gonig to yell at you for no reason or be friendly. We experienced both, twice each, in the few hours we were here when he was here (fortunately, he left and closed the office an hour earlier than posted). We'll be back, but just try to schedule it when he is not here. read more

A friend from work told me about walking the paths that run from the Brisbane Marina all the way to the Oyster Point Marina and continue on. I tied up my sneakers and decided to get out of the office and drive down for a walk. Now, I find myself walking the path on a regular basis. It is a beautiful marina, the entire area along the marina is so well kept. The grass is always cut, the restrooms are clean and there is always someone from the marina staff riding around the path. They also have benches in the grass in case you want to take your lunch and enjoy the view. A great place for a walk or lunch away from the office. read more

Why yes, I do bring my lunch here and eat in the parking lot and listen to my sports talk radio. If I'm feeling a little chipper I might go for a jog around the marina. And If I'm feeling especially randy I might actually do the exercises they have along the trail. read more

Talk about hidden gems. There is a wonderful paved walking trail around the entire marina, and along the shore. From end-to-end, perhaps more than a mile. There's a short pier where occasional fisherman try their luck. There are plenty of grassy areas, and a few picnic benches. It's great for a stroll, or just to come watch the evening sky change colors over Mt San Bruno. I work in the office park nearby, and we're really quite lucky to have this beautiful area so close. I will say that on more than one occasion, I've seen some rather sketchy behavior in the parking lots, so just stay alert. read more

I have kept my boat here the last couple of years and I have really enjoyed having it here. The staff is friendly and they always fix any issues with the docks fast. The tend to keep things in better condition then previous berths I have use over the last 10 yrs. I believe this is one of the cheaper harbors to keep your boat in the bay and they have free popcorn in the main office! Plenty of parking for friends to come with cars for a day on the bay. read more

This marina does not allow liveaboards, which sucks so bad because they are in the SPOT!!!!! The weather is so good it's depressing, because you can sit on your boat at Oyster Point in what appears to be the most ferocious storm, and look across the way, to the Brisbane Marina, and cry in your beer, because they have the best weather.... omg, you can literally SEE the masts all standing in the glorious sunshine, which only hovers over fucking Brisbane..... no, I'm not angry!!! read more

Kept my boat here for years. It used to be a great marina, and is in an amazing location. However, it is being allowed to deteriorate at an alarming rate. Docks are falling apart. Navigational aids are often not functioning or missing altogether! The main channel has not been dredged for years and is getting shallow. The maintenance staff is now part time. The office is often closed during regular business hours, including weekends. Security is almost non existent. Brisbane is simply not maintaining the marina. They blame it on "budget cuts" but it is (should be) a privately funded marina. It's a shame, because it was a great marina! I'm outta there! read more

Great marina, reasonable rates. Wonderful staff. Very clean well maintained facilities. Restrooms, guest dock, pump-out, reasonably secure. Water is clean enough that I dive my boat & clean the hull. San Bruno Mountain blocks a lot of the wind in the marina so it has much less wind than the other two closeby marinas. For sailing, you are out of the wind shadow pretty quickly once you pull out. Downside (not a big deal): Dog owners love being off leash in the area (illegally) & many get offened if you address keeping them off your kid or your dogs. (like most bay area parks) No restaraunts in walking distance other than a grill in the closeby office park. If those two things changed, I would give them a 5+. read more

I work right near by and went for a run along the marina. It's such a fantastic view of the bay. I noticed that there are picnic tables and I think even a BBQ. It'd be a nice place to have a small gathering of friends come to bbq. read more
