What a fun afternoon it was sailing the lagoon. Isabelle at the front desk was super helpful and got us started with waivers, rules & a map. They had lifejackets on site for children or any adult who may need one. We went with the 2 hour slot and really enjoyed ourselves. I hit a wall troubleshooting online and took a chance calling Michael on a Sunday. Not only did he invite me to come by, but he already had the cables I needed waiting when I arrived. We booked the 21' Duffy boat for Father's Day. It was beautiful out, a bit windy, but beautiful. The lagoon is calm and there weren't a lot of obstacles to look out for. We had 8 people and we all fit nicely in the boat. It was a really relaxing time. The boats are clean and in good condition. You can zip up the windows if it's too chilly/windy. There wasn't a cooler, but that's fine. I loved the little deck space. Next time, I think we'll opt for the 22' one so we can have a bench outside instead of just 2 seats. Second time renting a Duffy here with a group of friends! This time we got the Duffy 22 and it is noticeably more spacious with wooden accents. Honestly I think both is fine but if you want a bit more space then for sure the 22. The staff were nice as always! We were actly ~30 mins late and since it was a slow day they were able to give us 30 min to make up for our lost time. We rly appreciated it. Today was another beautiful day in the Bay so when my husband called me and said he was only working half day we decided to go on a spontaneous lunch date. I met him near his job site in Foster city. We picked up Eric's deli for lunch and thought we would rent a boat so we looked it up on yelp and found a spot nearby which happened to be this place. Around 1:30pm our plan was to eat in the car however when we saw there was about 15 open picnic tables in front of the check-in location we sat there to have lunch before going inside and reserving the boat. As soon as we sat down to eat, a young lady came out and asked what we were doing there. I told her we're going to quickly eat and then go inside to rent a boat. She rolled her eyes at us and went back inside. We were confused but proceeded to eat. About 10 min later, an older man came out questioning us as well. He said the area is reserved for ppl waiting for a boat (not ONE person was waiting) , I explained to him our plan was to reserve one (which is why we were even there- there's a ton more water areas we could have chosen) but we wanted to eat first and he said "that's weird, most people reserve online" I told him it was a spontaneous decision but we can reserve it now if that's protocol. I then asked if he wanted us to leave. He said "well yes if you're not going to reserve one you can eat in the public park." I told him look, we'll leave, now I don't want to give you business anyway!" He said "yea I knew you guys weren't going to rent one anyway!" What's that supposed to mean? I guess what we explained to him totally went over his head? We are both of Latin descent and full of tattoos. I don't know if they felt threatened by us but being racially profiled and kicked off a location we were excited to try definitely ruined the fun day we were looking forward to. read more

Highly recommend!!! Please keep in mind the 2 hour rental starts at the booking time so show up on time. We showed up 20 min late and lost some boating time. Honestly didn't know what experience booking a duffy would be like when we first booked, it ended up being better than we expected! Not too many rules- you can pretty much bring what you want. The boat is big enough to fit at least 6 people- we had a couple of guys who are over 6 feet who enjoyed the seating no problem. Duffy was easy to steer, the lake was calm so nobody experienced any sickness. There was a table in the middle which made it easy to eat snacks. The duffy even has plastic windows you can button / velcro / zip which controls airflow and how much wind you want to experience. read more

We rented an electric boat from Edgewater over Thanksgiving weekend. We had 6 adults and 1 toddler, and we could all sit comfortably in the boat. We were impressed with how clean and new the boat was. My sister's boyfriend has a boat of his own, and he commented that it was very well-maintained. At first I thought 2 hours might be too long for my daughter (3 years old), but it went by quickly. We rented during the 9:30am time slot on Saturday and it worked out well for us. The water was quiet for the first hour but started to get more busy/crowded towards the end of our rental period. It can be a little difficult to navigate around swimmers/canoers when the water gets more crowded; however, overall it was easy to steer and use the boat. We brought our own snacks to enjoy on board. They provided life vests but you're also allowed to bring your own. Life vests were only required for children. This was a great outdoor activity during the pandemic, and I would highly recommend. read more

The scenery around Leo Ryan park was amazing however I could have utterly skipped the rows and rows of houses. No knock on the company, they run a fabulous outfit.
