(The Clash) The Bristol Bazaar is one of the most colorful and visually appealing marketplaces I've ever seen. It was a kaleidoscope of colors, shapes, and patterns. What a cool concept - a rotating ever-changing roster of over 65 local makers and artisans in a beautiful space with a built-in coffee bar and cocktail lounge (Yellow King Bristol). And if that isn't enough, they also offer crafting workshops, special events, and a classroom. Their website summarizes their mission - "We are looking for entrepreneurs who make their products by hand and are looking to make their side hustle, a full-time gig". Well said! We had a blast strolling through the Bazaar and marveling at the creativity and talent of the local makers. Everything here is made by hand by the sellers- no reselling is allowed. We walked out with a jar of caramel sauce from La Famiglia Tedesco for a certain caramel loving grand-daughter and a jar of Bloody Mary mix from Bloody Good Mud for a certain Bloody Mary loving Yelper. Because the roster of makers can change every month, you'll never really run out of new stuff to look at. read more

Bristol Bazaar is an overstimulation for all of your senses. There are sparkling lights to see, they have plush things to touch, they have handmade soaps to smell, they have tasty samples to taste, and of course all of the excitement to hear. Bristol Bazaar is a collection of vendors selling their handmade merchandise at the same place. They are open all year, six days a week. With the holiday season in full force, you will find ornaments and tree toppers galore. They have screen printed and embroidered t-shirts and hoodies. There are toys, keychains, jewelry, plants and more. The best part about shopping or browsing at Bristol Bazaar is the checkout process. There's no need to make an individual purchase at each vendor, instead you can collect all of the goodies in your shopping basket, then cash out at the register. This helps keep things moving, and less people standing around. The items are marked with barcodes, so the makers receive their portion of the sale. I love coming to the shopping plaza. You can find a little something for everybody! Whether it's baked goods, 3d printed items, hand crafted goods or just to browse. There are vendors that are always rotating out so you can always find something! A lot of the items are handmade and handcrafted so the pricing varies depending on what you get. I like shopping at smaller stores and supporting local vendors rather than buying a big product from a box store if I can. There is also Yellow King Brewing company for a coffee or martinis! This place is amazing! It's part of what I assume used to be a factory, with parking up above, along the side of the building next door, and handicapped spaces parallel with the door. The inside has many tables and booths from different artisans, so everything is different and a feast for the eyes. The second level is decorated as though they're exterior windows and you're walking in a village square. There's even a fake water fountain. Everything is locally made, so it's a great value and something unique. You check out all at once, and are able to buy a bag for charity if you don't bring your own. There are class (watch Facebook!) and restrooms available. Everyone is very friendly, and each experience is different but fun! read more

It's wondrous to be in this Bazaar Matketplace. There's always something new to find that I didn't quite catch on previous visits. I particularly love the decoration at the front entrance depending on the season or the holiday. The foyer also equate the same concept. Truly marvelous! There's plenty of artisans work at every table from cups to woodwork and even clothing. The staff are beyond nice too. I was led here at first due to the coffee next door by Yellow King and then after by programs scheduled in their event space in the back. There's also another conference room area behind the checkout section. The cost for each piece also varies and are fairly reasonable to my opinion since you're shopping directly from the artisan. I had never heard of the bazaar until a friend mentioned it. What a great hidden gem and had no idea that it is open year round. Gotta love a place that has plenty of outdoor free parking on a private lot. We had fun exploring the Bazaar and visiting all the booths. Lots of great locally made items. Love the decorations. Given that I have a family connection to Bristol, I was surprised I hadn't heard of Bristol Bazaar before I recently started seeing Instagram content. Turns out they opened around Summer '23. So I am not that far behind the curve. Bristol Bazaar is primarily a maker and vendor retail space where you can browse arts, crafts, handmade clothes, and products. It's safe to say there's something for everybody. While the crafts displayed did not immediately capture my eye, I was impressed with the La Famiglia Tedesco food space, which displayed chocolates, confections and desserts. They also offered samples I tried a few things including pumpkin cake, pecan chocolate bark. The samples were good. I bought the bark, which was good salty and sweet, and peanut butter and jelly swirl cookies, which looked very cool and tasted good. I separately reviewed the adjacent Yellow King Brews, but it basically functions as part of the Bazaar since there is an open space between the two. Yellow King is one of the more respected coffee shops in CT Foodie Circles. Getting a Yellow King (the OG is in Wallingford) is a big deal for the Bazaar and Bristol. The Bazaar also had a food truck called Rock Solid Grill in the parking lot. I wasn't familiar with it, but it's a cool option. I love places like Bristol Bazaar. I think it's a great thing for makers and the town. Four Stars. read more

A beautiful spot to gather and shop, Bristol Bazaar is one of the newer locations to help and Revive Bristol businesses... this one through local artists and entrepreneurs. Nestled in downtown Bristol CT, it is a perfect spot to browse and select the perfect gift for yourself (check out my earrings!!) or others with local artist and vendor style isles. The boho vibe space has rooms you can rent (for up to 30 in one room that include bathrooms and counter space), beautiful murals and art throughout, and is super clean and organized. You are welcomed with a smile, and it smells so good inside, with candles and candy and aromatherapy oils spread throughout the open concept space as well as many other beautiful finds. I had seen a TikTok video about Bristol Bazaar a while back, and finally had the chance to check it out the other day. What a cool spot! Located on Race St. in Bristol, Bristol Bazaar is an indoor "makers market" that is open year round. Inside they have booths with over 65 makers at any time, all with displays of handmade crafts, art, clothing, and other unique items for sale. The prices vary based on vendor/item, but they seemed reasonable considering all of the products are handmade. The staff member who was at the front registered was friendly and greeted me as I walked in. Just to give you some ideas of what they have- Funny baby onesies, handmade candles with unique scents like "The Cottage on Martha's Vineyard" and "Witching Hour in Salem," handmade jewelry, embroidered sweatshirts, locally made cookies and other treats, cutting boards, children's books, lotions, painted wooden signs with the names of various CT towns, framed photographs and paintings, hand drawn greeting cards, mugs and cups, and the list goes on! This is one of those places where you can go back several times and find something new and different each time. And attached to Bristol Bazaar is Yellow King Brews, which is an awesome coffee and cocktail lounge with amazing coffee/tea drinks and a full cocktail bar! A few weekends ago my mother and I decided to check out this bazaar to kick off holiday shopping. And I'm glad we did! There's so many different vendors selling amazing handcrafted items. The marketing for the bazaar is excellent.....we drove almost an hour to find a very disappointing selection of trinkets. The space is very small, and the quality is less than high end. Don't be fooled if you are driving more than 10 minutes. I understand crafters work very hard at their trades but this reminded me of a ladies guild or a white elephant sale. read more

Bristol Bazar is a collection of different small businesses hosting their products for you to purchase. It is referred to as a Makers Market and it didn't disappoint. We were amazed at how beautiful the place is and how much it has to offer. Not to mention what is to come. We didn't experience much service. There was a group of people at the front to the side talking with Bristol bazaar sweatshirts on. No one acknowledged us there. At the front the cashier did say hello when we passed, otherwise no one said anything. I didn't take away anything here because it was later in the evening and I am sure they were getting ready to close. Depending on the store, would depend on the value to me. There was a crystal shop that had popsockets for $16 and earrings for $15. That to me was great value. There was candles for $15+, also great value. There were scrunchies for $40+, this to me wasn't great value or the Disney ears that were $40+ which is more than normal Disney ears and I couldn't believe the cost. I believe the seller decides the price so it is what it is. Overall, we loved it and can't wait to go back. We did purchase a candle and a cheesecake sampler and spent like $27. read more

This place is so unexpectedly wonderful There is plenty of parking and a charming and artsy entrance that just puts you in a cheerful mood even as you enter. There are hanging macrame style chairs in a cozy nook to hang out in right by the entrance. A nice touch to immediately make you feel right at home and welcome. There's a really good amount of displays from local artists selling unique and chic items of all kinds. They have everything there from books and jewelry to foods, soaps and woodworking items and then some. I bought the coolest ring that's made out of inner watch parts! And a dragon that was made with a 3D printer. The owner is truly friendly and helpful and the checkout process is a breeze with so many options to pay. I plan to do a good amount of shopping here in the future. We'll worth a visit or more! read more

Cute but underwhelming. We walked through it in fifteen minutes. The vendors generally are selling handmade coasters, bags, candles, shirts, bowls, jewelry, toys, and cutting boards. There was also one stand with baked goods. The cafe attached to it was so crowded. The bazaar was, too. It's a nice little stop with local vendors, but the pictures make it look like it's a much bigger space than it actually is. read more
