On the…read moreFriday after Thanksgiving 2025 nearing dark coming out of Bristow, I ended up with a flat tire and had to pull off on a dark country road with my dog and called AAA to wait. Calvin's Wrecker Service and Mike were assigned. Mike came as fast as he could from Shamrock, and was in constant communication with me. Mike assessed the situation, but couldn't change my flat as I didn't have the right equipment. Mike towed my car back into Bristow with me and my dog, stopped at a motel so I could check in so I could have a safe place to stay overnight, dropped off my car at Bristow Tire and secured it, and dropped my dog and I back off at the Bristow motel, all the while ensuring my dog and I were comfortable, warm and safe. My experience is that AAA picked a great vendor and gets great value from Calvin's Wrecker Service and Mike. Called AAA at 7:59am and this company was dispatched to change a flat tire, was told they'd be there at 9:30 at the latest by AAA. Was relieved as I was traveling with my 3 children and was stranded in the Oklahoma heat. At 9:19am someone from this wrecking service and told me he was "about to leave" and told me he was going to have to charge any toll fees to me and asked if I still wanted him to come out, "yes, of course, please hurry" I said. About 10am someone showed up in an older, beat up small pickup truck. No problem, just needed him to change the flat. He gets out of his truck and the first thing he says is "you're going to be charged for the tolls fees" and asked me some to the effect of "do you still want me to change the tire, because you owe the toll fees". Flabbergasted and knowing the toll fees would amount to no more than $2-3 for his round trip from Bristow to Stroud and back to Bristow, I joked "hmm..no please just leave me stranded here on the road". My husband was there by that point to get me and our babies out of the heat; as I was walking past the service guy to my husbands car, again he was talking about the tolls fees with my husband. I said to him we already said that's fine, and he said "you're a basic AAA member maam. you have to pay the tolls fees". I was amazed..no one argued about toll fees with him, I Dont believe he wanted to change the tire. It was really bizarre. I see on my credit card statement today that he charged us $15.75 for toll fees on top of the payment he received from AAA. See the chart below for the tolls fees charged by the state on this route. With a pikepass it would be $2.60 for the round trip, without a pikepass it would be $3.50. I've already reported this to AAA and will be contesting with my credit card company as well. Shockingly dishonest, no integrity. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Allied also allowed a different…read morecompany to tow my vehicle away without my consent, with all of my personal belongings still in the car, including my tags, and made zero effort to reach out prior to them releasing my vehicle. Their initial negligence led to weeks of back and forth with insurance, stolen property and a major headache because they'll let anyone take your car with no questions asked, apparently. In response to the owner's response: Allied, IAA and the insurance company of the individual who totaled my car cannot verify when my items were stolen, so each entity involved in moving my car is responsible due to the negligence from all involved parties :-) Thank you! I was told $230 by their AI receptionist but when I go to pick it up 2 days later; the price skyrocketed to $387 dollars. I wish I was lying. They are absolute crooks and they could give 2 f$&ks if you ever get your car back. I honestly feel like they do everything in their power to cheat you and keep your car longer. No one would tell me how damaged my car was so after I paid $387 to get it back; I find out that it's immobile and I need to have it towed back home. it was $220 or 4.5 miles.
