He is always honest and very respectful when it comes to servicing your dental needs. My entire family goes to Brite dental for routine checkups and cleanings every 6 months. Dr. Dang did not listen to his patient which resulted in severe pain and 3 dead teeth in my situation. I came to Dr. Dang for dental crowns back in June 2022. I needed 12 separate crowns and the other two dentists I consulted both requested separate visits for top and bottom teeth. Dr. Dang promised he could have them done in one visit due to his superior technique. I was very happy with the outcome. All the crowns looked natural and I was able to smile confidently again. However, I kept having severe teeth sensitivity even 3 months after the procedure with no signs of improvement. I called in to discuss this issue and Dr. Dang reassured me it's a healing process. The problem got worse. I started to have intermittent pain in the crown teeth late September and I went in about two weeks after (09/26/22) the pain started. Dr. Dang took some x-rays and reassured me again my teeth were normal even though I stressed I have severe pain. Dr. Dang prescribed 800mg Ibuprofen three times a day for pain control and said I do not need to come back for a follow up, instead just call one week later to update. The ibuprofen did not help and the pain got worse to a point I could not sleep or even sit at all. I would rate it 10/10 pain. It was after business hours last Friday so I could not reach Dr. Dang. Another dentist was kind enough to accommodate me Saturday morning (10/01/22) and I had 3 urgent root canals done on the crown teeth. Now both the pain and sensitivity are mostly gone. When I called Dr. Dang to follow up this morning (10/03/22), he responded to the situation: 1) he wish I would wait longer before having the root canal - the pain was excruciating, I would not want to be in that pain for one second longer 2) there's nothing showing on the X-ray when I visited him on Monday so he did not think anything was wrong - I understand x-ray is important in helping with the diagnosis. However, listen to the patient's symptoms and complain are more important. If the symptoms and imaging do not add up then there's a need to explore further to find the root cause. - the other dentist I visited on Saturday was able to identify the teeth in pain from x-ray before I pointed them out - the root canals revealed no pus or blood which indicated long term infections Also coincidentally all the teeth with infections that ended up needing root canals are newly done crown teeth. The other dentist mentioned it might be due to dr shaved too much teeth during the crown fitting that damaged the nerves. I am unsure if the dying nerves are caused by the inproper crown fitting technique, but I am mostly unsatisfied with the way Dr. Dang treated his patient when conditions did not go as expected. The neglect in identifying the root cause of the pain and sensitivity has left me in such discomfort that I would not want anyone else to go through. Due to the above reasons, I am giving a 2-star for my ratings of Brite Dental and would not recommend this place. read more

THE WORST DENTIST AND STAFF I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I never had any real pain or issues with my teeth until meeting Dang DDS. I'm a new patient of his and only been to his office twice and I plan to never return in fear of him doing more damage to my mouth. My first impression of his office environment is that it's decently clean but a little outdated. He uses a monitor that is mounted on the ceiling which is probably not in the best position- perhaps the measurement is off because he keeps asking me to scoot up with my head hanging off the the headrest to look at a screen. I dont feel safe sitting in the chair. Meanwhile his staff hovers and huddles in the hallway looking unprofessional and not like they want to be there, seems as if this is all their first time ever working at a dental office. Moving on to my first checkup and cleaning. The X-ray process took awhile- his staff came in got me setup then disappeared for 15 mins without saying anything to me. Then eventually came back to finish. Once we got through xrays I meet Dr. Dang and he explains I have a few cavities and recommend I get fillings and do a deep cleaning on my next visit. His staff finishes the cleaning, they were not very thorough with flossing seemed like this was her first time doing this. A month later I return to finish the work thats needed. He spends no-time explaining the process. He starts off by numbing my mouth. He did not explain the numbing agent was going to increase my heartrate until after I'm already having an anxiety attack- he tells me to relax... He proceeds to drill and it's scary because I dont know whats actually going on and he keeps telling me to scoot up and open my mouth which I can't t feel or have control over. After we get through the drilling/filing it's time to check my bite and when i tell him its off he doesnt listen to me- he said i got it I got it - hushing me up instead of actually hearing me. He tries fixing it but my bite is still off and he tells me to come back if there's any pain... post deep cleaning my mouth is still very numb I cannot drink or hold anything in my mouth. his assistant tells me to use mouthwash and leaves. 10 mins later my mouth is still numb and she sees me still there and tells me i can go. I explain im waiting to rinse my mouth out but I cant use the mouthwash because i will choke she tells me im not supposed to drink it. OBVIOUSLY I KNOW THIS I HAVE NO CONTROL OF ANY MUSCLE IN MY MOUTH. I leave without rinsing because i feel like im being rushed and the customer service is horrible. once i leave an hour later i feel fine, actually a few weeks have passed and I felt ok until recently. I can not chew on my rightside and even when im not chewing Theres an aching pain. IM NOT RETURING TO DR. DANG IN FEAR OF MORE DAMAGE. Overall the customer service is awful, he doesnt listen, and his assistants are incompetent. I do not trust him. Stay away. read more

The response from Brite Dental is very disappointing. However, it's not at all surprising. I'm saddened. As a customer, I opened my heart and shared how I've been made to feel at their office and the response is a "apology" and the claim I've got "hate in my heart." Wow.... While I understand the desire to protect your business, this is a weak attempt to deflect from my point, which is that you are perhaps out of touch with the people you serve. And even worse, you are seemingly AWARE of it and chosen to place fault on the customers instead. How daunting! The fact that this dentist is so oblivious to his own energy when entering a patient's room is alarming. Dental work is expensive, and as a paying customer, we all deserve quality care. Potential customers, if you take a look at my other reviews, you'll see my posts are never hurtful, always constructive and ALWAYS honest. As a school teacher, I understand the significance a "grade" has on a business, which is why I did not and do not score unfairly. To Brite Dental, the next time you attempt to follow up on a review in an attempt to make it right with a disappointed customer, you should begin with offering a sincere apology - one that doesn't transition into you falsely calling them a "hater". I was sitting there grabbing the xray mouth piece hoping we would finally get the shot he wanted. His dental assistant wasn't able to get the shot he wanted so what did he do. Make her do it again. While I know how to some people it could seem like a toxic environment those girls are happy. They smiled joked and did their job. I let them know that after working with him, they could work anywhere else effectively. I was grateful how he calmed me down and listened when I told him I was in pain. He told me not to wiggle and guess what, I did!!! So he firmly told me not to do it again. I tried my hardest but it happened a few more times and he firmly told me again. They have a straight forward, no nonsense, and on your terms style of practice that makes you comfortable and at ease. And most importantly, he knows what he is doing and he is VERY good at it. They break down everything that's going on and answer every question with sincerity. They don't make you feel bad for what's going on in your mouth, but tell you as it is without sugar coating. Dr. Dang is very professional and great at what he does. My initial visit to his office was for my 7year old son, who fell and broke his front tooth. My son has always been very terrified of dental offices. Dr. Dang and his staff were very patient with my son, who was kicking and screaming. He took his time to sit there and explain to my son the steps that he would be taking to repair his tooth. He went into his office and gave my 7 year old time to process the conversation and then came back to check on him and got the work started.
