I came to this dentist office through a referral, as my father has brought my younger siblings here. I scheduled an appointment during their last time slot due to work commitments, which was the only time I could make. The office is small but very clean, and the staff were generally polite and respectful. When I arrived there was confusion and I was told I needed to arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork, which I had never been notified of. After some back and forth, the dentist was able to accommodate me, despite the miscommunication. I took my X-rays and was placed in a room to see the dentist. The first thing that struck me was how quickly they took my blood pressure as soon as I sat down, which made me feel rushed and anxious, especially after dealing with the earlier frustration at the front desk. I had just arrived and was anxious it was no surprise that my blood pressure was high. Unfortunately, the dentist immediately assumed I had hypertension without asking any follow-up questions or giving me a chance to relax before retaking it. She handed me a form and said I would need to get clearance from my doctor before any dental treatment, which was disappointing because u was in pain and needed immediate attention. I felt completely unheard during my visit. The dentist spoke in medical terminology I didn't understand to the assistant behind me without showing me my X-rays or explaining what the issue was. I was sent home with no treatment and advised to take Tylenol until I could get medical clearance. I was also frustrated when I received a call the following week asking for payment for treatment that hadn't even happened yet. However, I want to commend Aleli, a supervisor, who really turned things around. After I expressed my frustration, she scheduled a follow-up appointment to retake my blood pressure and even offered to switch dentists. When I came back, my blood pressure was normal, and I was scheduled for treatment the following week. Dr. Fahid, the new dentist, was much more patient-centered. She introduced herself, showed me my X-rays, explained my dental issues, and made me feel much more at ease and included in my care. Overall, while my first visit was frustrating and left me feeling rushed and ignored, the team at the office made things right. Thanks to Aleli and Dr. Fahid, my treatment was smooth, and I'm no longer in pain. I'll be returning, but I've learned the importance of advocating for myself in the process. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is amazing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My issue is that I came in for a tooth extraction, which I have already had severely pulled and finally I saw an endodontist, who said I have a protruding root or fenestration and he recommended two treatments root canal which is 4000 dollar, or extraction so I came here for the extraction and they refused to pull the tooth out. This is not the first place to say no, and most likely won't be the last. It seems like dentists are more concerned about saving a tooth than saving a life. I am constantly in the emergency room because of this pain but they seem to think it is nerve damage or sinus issues, all of which I have gone to see a specialist for and it always comes back to my teeth most likely being the issue. Pretty sad getting a tooth pulled is the most complex thing to do here in the United States for some odd reason. I don't think a tooth is as important as a life. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But overall everyone looks happy just don't come here if you have a complex problem maybe go to some other country.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Thinking about going to the Philippines as someone I talked to had a similar problem but with an ear infection. He said just getting around here, and he went out there; they fixed it within hours, and the pain went away. Doctors here just seem not to care. The doctors and the girls at the desk are there to talk about their lashes and what they are getting for lunch.... Oh, and if you want your child strapped up, take them here. Also, they are infested with roaches! They said it was a water bug that was a big roach you see in DTLA. I have found a different place where they actually care, and I can be in the room with my child while the procedure is being done. The funny thing here is they want you to wait outside the room while they torture your kid. Good luck to anyone going here. I would not recommend it, especially if you are not paying out of pocket. On yesterday I went in for a deep cleaning, this experience is often horrible, my fault I put myself in this situation. The hygienist was simply THE BEST. I told her that the teeth scraping and drilling was difficult for me to listen to, she then suggested that I get my headphones, as I was listening to Faith Evans, I could hear her singing, we were rocking out together. She was gentle and kind, offered encouragement along the way. She made the experience painless and ok. After my appointment was over, I began looking around for her. So I have been coming here now for a little over a couple months maybe a tad bit longer. Today I had two extractions. Dr Koi was my doctor and Janet was his assistant they were phenomenal once again. They both walked me through it and it went fast and he did a fantastic job. I would definitely go to him again for teeth pulling. I also got two new stay plates one for the upper one for the lower and they look fantastic! This place is terrible, go somewhere else and save money and save time. There are 3 main issues: 1. No Accountability 2. Constant Upselling + Greedy Behavior 3. Appointments are Worthless 1. They'll make a mistake and try to charge you fees for it, realized that the mistake is on them and then act like they're doing you a favor by dropping it. And by realized I mean you'll have to fight them on it, if you don't then they'll be more than happy to take money from you without acknowledging their mistake. 2. They'll always overcharge you on everything they can and upsell you at any chance trying to pressure you into paying for stuff you actually don't need at all. Trying to make it seem like its medically recommended as a big thing which can cost anywhere from extra hundreds to thousands of dollars. Trying to take advantage of clients who aren't familiar with dentistry enough, it's only after doing ur own research you realize they're trying to rip you off. 3. Appointments are worthless. You have an appointment and they'll still make you wait around like an idiot for an hour and get mad if you bring it up to them. There's 0 place where you should still be waiting this long and seeing other people just walk in and get called in before you even though you made an appointment. I never leave reviews like this before, but that just shows how bad of an experience this is. Hopefully they take the critique and actually improve but doubt I'll be back here again read more
