I requested our carpets to be cleaned based on the reviews. I feel like the images they post have been photo shopped. We have very little foot traffic as it's only two of us in the home. The man that came out was so fast he was done under 1 hour. Mind you two large bedrooms in which I was charged extra for plus soggy carpet in some areas and dry in others. Hence the rush job. Then charged me to scotch guard the living room that had stains. Really. I spoke with Gus and expressed my disappointment and said he would speak with the tech the next day. Prior to moving into my new home, I hired Brite Spots to clean the carpet in 3 bedrooms. Gus was very friendly over the phone and helped me to quickly make an appt. He gave me an estimate on cost and some days later a gentleman whose name I can't remember (my apologies) showed up. My water was not turned on yet, but this guy made it work! I was very appreciative that. One of the bedrooms had a gnarly stain and he warned me that he may not be able to get it out. He offered to try to remove the stain with additional products and effort for an extra cost. I agreed, but it still did not work. Along with the one large stain, there are remnants of an additional couple of stains in the other rooms. For all of the additional add ons and cost, I would say the pricing of this company is fairly reasonable - I would have appreciated if they waved some of that since the stains did not come out, but unfortunately that was not offered. I hired this company to clean my 8x10 area rug. Before cleaning, there was no purple stain on the rug. After their cleaning service and while the rug was drying, a noticeable purple stain along with others appeared. I sent before-and-after photos and was told someone would review them and contact me. Despite multiple promises of a callback, I never heard back. Their quote even stated, "All stains and spots will be removed GUARANTEED," yet they would not address a stain that appeared after their service. I did want to start by saying that the scheduler was very attentive. They came within a few hours and were on time to the scheduled appointment which is great. However, for the cleaning... We were upsold another $30 to do a stain removal, which we did need in some areas, and those stains were taken out... I was not fully impressed with the cleaning after it was done, but I knew that you would have to wait for it to dry completely to see the results. Fast-forward to the stairs being dry; I was pretty upset to see that he focused mainly on the traffic area which was the middle of the stairs and did not give much attention to the sides of the stairs. I was expecting a thorough job because of how much the technician talked about the stairs being dirty (I know, that's why you're here). Today I got My carpet cleaned for My apartment . I was guaranteed that the stains would be removed. That was the first lie I was told. Long story short the job was done horribly . There's a bunch of minimal stains still that I was able to remove. NOT HONEST BUSINESS PEOPLE. I have a faux Persian rug that my dogs has peed on. I tried using my own Bissell cleaner, but at this point, unfortunately my Bissell is no longer doing the job, so I took to Yelp to find a cleaning service. When searching for technicians for anything, it is my common practice to check pricing and reviews with multiple companies. When I came across Brite Spot, they quoted me $124.95. This quote was about $50 less than my best quote, so I called Gus to confirm the rate. I mentioned that the urine smell was pretty bad and that I had been trying to get it out myself for a while. He reassured me that when service was complete, our rug would smell like roses, so I booked service for the following day. When the tech came, he told me that the rug would need a deep cleaning, an antibacterial treatment/sanitizing, and a pre-conditioning treatment totaling $245 and that would be the only way to get the smell out. I told him that Gus said the entire cleaning would not cost more than $124.95 and that another company offered a deep clean with front and back AND sanitization for $175 (SoCal Carpet Cleaning. I wish I would have gone with them as they quoted me $100 and then let me know it might be as high as $175 if the damage was really bad). Javier, the tech, said he would do the basic service and see how it went. The service itself took about an hour and looks-wise, it looked clean and initially, it smelled fine as well, but as it dried, which took about 2 days (I was told it would take 6-8 hours), the smell started getting worse and worse. We finally just rolled the rug up and put it in the garage. I messaged Gus the following Monday and at first he seemed like he was actually going to do something about it, but all he did was have his tech call me and tell me that it will need to be cleaned again, so I called Gus back and reminded him that his website said "100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" so I asked for my money back and he refused. If Gus had mentioned that it was a possibility there would be additional charges, most likely I would have gone with another carpet cleaner, but I probably would not have gone through this headache. THIS COMPANY WILL BAIT AND SWITCH YOU AND STEAL YOUR MONEY. AVOID AVOID AVOID (If you read the response, Gus admits to upcharging. Again, if he would have been upfront about the costs, I would not have been upset. He should have advised the cleaning could potentially cost more). We used Brite spot to clean our dad's house after he passed away. There were some pet orders and we asked if they guaranteed their work and they said they did. They did one service and were only there for about 35 minutes. It smelled good at first, but then when I went back to check a few days later, it still smelled really bad and when I went back to let them know, they just offered me more services and didn't guarantee their work. When they originally stated that they guaranteed their work They did not offer to try and clean one more time or or give a discount. Said they're charging $500 additional to change the padding when I feel like if that was the issue they should've evaluate the situation and started with that in the beginning instead, I feel like they're just charging us for more services. They DO NOT guarantee their work nor do they assess at a property appropriately to see if they can actually remove odors when they should or said to replace the carpet altogether from the beginning. Instead they charge you and then have more charges after when they don't guarantee their service. They charge us $200 for two rooms then wanted to charge another $500 to remove the carpet and change the padding. Use a more honorable service that actually stands by their work.
