When I arrived I was greeted by two remarkable women receptionists. They were as friendly, personable and knowledgeable as I could have asked for. They answered all my questions and made me comfortable which for me is extremely difficult because I am deathly afraid of dentists,because of some bad experiences I've had in the past. I was ushered into an examine room where I was greeted by a lab assistant who took x-rays with a handheld devise I was more more comfortable with rather than the large machines I've always been frightened of because of my fear of radiation. After the x-rays were completed four medically clad people into the room. They were all very personable and friendly and again made me at ease. Dr. Sean did everything necessary to prepare the implant explaining every detail to me as he evaluated and prepared me for the implant after having previously placed a temporary device onto my tooth. Everything was completed with a half hour and I made an appointment for two week to have the implant done. Each of these people were extremely knowledgeable, comforting and pleasant. The cost of my services and the implant was very reasonable after I had done the cost research. I received services from soup to nuts and couldn't have been Moore pleased. Dr. Erikson was pleasant, efficient, gentle and was NOT trying to just make money. When I asked, he offered other services, but his focus was on his patients. The two hygienists we saw were effective in cleaning our teeth and pleasantly chatty as well. We were recommended by some friends who have sent him for years... We were not disappointed. The only way I could still get the $10-per-unit price was if I switched to a different product than the one I originally signed up for and preferred. They sprung this on me the morning of my last appointment. When I told them I didn't want the other product and was willing to pay extra for the Botox I preferred, they told me they were out of stock and hadn't received their shipment that morning. At this point, I was so irritated and I decided that I was never gonna come back again and I never did. At my first appointment, they completely messed up my mouth and then tried to gaslight me into believing it was something I had done in my sleep, rather than admitting they had injected the wrong muscle, which made my mouth completely crooked. By my last appointment--when they had already lost my trust--they ended up botching my forehead as well. I had to go to a different place in Calabasas to have it fixed. The staff is really sweet, and I wish them the best, but they need more training or should work somewhere more professional where they can learn to inject properly and not scam people. My first visit was for a hydrofacial, which left my skin feeling incredibly clean, hydrated, and glowing. The second visit was a dermaplaning facial, which was equally effective--I noticed a big difference in skin texture and brightness afterward. The aestheticians were skilled, and I appreciated that the spa allows multiple Groupon vouchers as long as they're not for the exact same service. That flexibility made it easy to try different treatments. However, communication was a consistent frustration. I called twice, left a voicemail, and sent a text before my first appointment and never received any response. The same thing happened before my second visit. Both times I had to drive over in person to book an appointment, which was inconvenient. Once I was there, the staff was friendly and accommodating, but the lack of responsiveness by phone or text made scheduling unnecessarily difficult. One small but noticeable detail: during the 10-minute mask portion of the facial, no arm, hand, or scalp massage was provided. The technician simply sat quietly. At most other spas I've visited, they use that time for relaxing massage work, which adds a lot to the overall experience. Overall, the facials are high quality and worth it, especially with Groupon pricing. I'd return for the results, but I hope they improve their phone/text response times and add those little extra touches that make a facial feel truly pampering. Part 1 of my Review: Microblading My eyebrows had a good overall shape to begin, but I found that I had random little patches that I needed to fill in daily with my brow pencil/kit. After consulting with Tawny she mapped out my brows and found which areas needed a little more (she added hair strokes to my arches, bulbs (front) & tails). The whole process took about 2 hours, including the consultation, numbing process & microblading (she did 2 passes of the hairstrokes she made, and went over it a 3rd time to make any final touches). She showed me the results and asked if there was any areas I wanted to be added to. After the process was over, she explained the after care steps in detail so I was prepared to care for my brows during the healing process for the following week. Now my brows are good to go and I don't have to worry about the extra 5-10 minutes of filling in my brows perfectly each morning. I can't wait to see her in a couple weeks for my touch up! Part 2 of my Review: Lash Lift Who isn't obsessed with perfectly fluffy & voluminous lashes?! Lashes are my "must-do" part of my beauty routine everyday. I hate leaving the house without mascara.. but I always (always) have to curl my lashes in order for the length of my lashes to truly show. I had tried lash extensions before... it was nice temporarily, but you have to return for fills every couple weeks and the $$ truly adds up... not to mention- my beautiful long lashes were DESTROYED after lash extensions... Thank goodness when I was in for my microblading appointment, Tawny told all about lash lifts! I was sold right away and scheduled another appointment with her. The lash lift took all of 35 minutes... (not hours like lash extensions)! And when I left... they were ALL MY OWN LASHES, so it doesn't feel funny or take a while to get used to. If I had known about lash lifts years ago, I would have done that instead of lash extensions. No glue involved.. no accidentally pulling off the extension and in turn ripping your own lash off. NO damage!!! There were a few different steps Tawny talked me through. She puts a couple different serums on that curl your lashes. I asked questions along the way and she answered all of them and talked me through her process step by step. Quick, simple & the results of perfectly curled lashes will last for 8-12 weeks!
