It is virtually impossible to directly reach anyone by telephone. They require a full month's rent if you overstay by even one day. The units themselves appear to be sturdy enough, but the locks are in terrible shape. The manager told me that they all should be replaced, but I did not see any that had been replaced while I was renting there. Security is questionable -- perhaps they have been lucky. I was able to enter behind another vehicle when my gate code would not work and after I had waited more than twenty minutes for it to be refreshed, and management was still looking for me at the gate. They obviously do not watch the monitors. Snow removal is another problem that transpires from no management on site. It is not as important in a large metro area; but in the mountains, it can be serious. There are shovels for you to take care of that for yourself and the units in the shade have snow, sometimes deep snow, in front of them for weeks at a time. If you need storage and do not want to go very far, this place will do; but I would recommend that you try to find another location.

The guy seems friendly enough until he has your money. Then getting any kind if assistance from him has proven extremely frustrating and difficult. Still, the only game in town.

Kings Valley storage is located in the neighborhood that I was moving from, so they were my first choice and their prices were better than any of the other competitors down in the city. They only had two 5 by 10 units available instead of a larger unit that I requested. I signed the agreement to rent the two units, but a week later (before moving my things into the units) I called and expressed my concern on the size not being enough & was asking about renting a third small unit to fit everything. They didn't have any other units available at that moment and the discussion might have ended there if they hadn't taken the time to follow up when a larger unit was suddenly opening up a few days later. I was able to secure the larger 10 by 20 unit which turned out to be more than enough room for my things (approximately 50 boxes and about a dozen pieces of furniture. The moving truck was able to easily pull into the location, no problem, and the unit itself was immaculate. I feel great about storing my possessions at Kings Valley Storage and am pleased with the whole experience. Their customer service is beyond exceptional! They are great communicators with excellent follow-up skills!

This requires another truck the next day, and our case, our move to storage took 3 days of little trucks. Awful! The movers are all very nice and helpful. Then I get told that they don't handle plants. I said "excuse me?" I explained to them that I was specifically told that my plants would get moved. So he made a call and begrudgingly told the other movers to pack my plants up. I told them to be careful, but they didn't listen. Killed three of my plants and I was visibly and audibly angry. So, I get a call from some op manager, stating that they normally don't move plants. I told him that if I would have been informed that, that I wouldn't have used them. He still acted like they were doing me a favor! Next. The movers didn't want to take my television off the wall, even though once again, I was told that they come with all the tools to take everything apart and put it back together. Another lie. Mover called whoever, and took the television down, however they didn't put it back up. Towards the end of the move, they just started throwing everything anywhere, including the plants that I told them to place on the counter. The next day, I found that they had broken my massage table. Today, I noticed that they broke a pole in my backpack from throwing it around. And tonight I noticed a whole plant stand that's missing, probably because they broke it. What's even more disturbing is the reaction from the corporate people in Texas. Completely rude and unprofessional. Told me that he'd send a form to file a claim, and maybe they would pay to fix or replace my massage table. I asked him how long would it take, and he replied that claims get filled in the order they receive them, so 30 days. I told him that they must be breaking lots of stuff, and he hung up on me. So, now I'm at the mercy of whoever insures these monkeys, or I'll be going to court to get reimbursed for damages. To top all of that off, my one bedroom apartment cost nearly 2k to move right across the street. I thought paying more meant I would have a stellar move, but this company has zero cares about personal property. Do yourself a huge favor and find another company to help with your move!! These people are THE WORST.
