I rate this lounge higher bc of the service. The staff keeps the lounge clean and it has the basic amenities a lounge should have. It isn't a premium lounge and that might be why the average of the reviews for this lounge is lower. Also there's ample outlets to charge your phone and devices. There's also decent amount of space to sit and relax. For me, I don't expect lounges to all have premium food and service. Having said that, I wouldn't spend lots of money to come in here.

This review is for my experience early this year. With JAL business class ticket comes with their own lounge or with an affiliate partner if not available. I recall my past British Airway flight to be pleasant so I opted to spend my hour layover here at British Airways Terraces Lounge. Boy, was this place a disappointment. If this service was not complimentary with my flight, then I would never recommend anyone to pay for entrance. The snacks and drinks are sparse. As vegan and/or someone with dietary restrictions, options are limited to fruit, plain crisps (chips, is the British coming back?), and drinks. The only redeeming factor is their live service bar, aka alcohol. I had some time until my departure so I went on line and requested a mimosa. At first she looked at me funny, perhaps she thought I was underage? (Asian genes) Then for some strange reason the lady served me a Bloody Mary! Which is absolutely not vegetarian, let alone vegan. I did not want to cause a scene or the long line to wait, so I just took the drink, grabbed an apple and bag of plain chips to a window seat. If I couldn't have the drink, I figured I'd get a lemonade or their special fruit infused water by the self-service bar. Nope, for some reason they contained honey or some sort of sugar... Plain water it was for me! It's okay, I will just have the fresh apple, that is wrapped in plastic like a gift? The exterior was waxy and the flesh tasted of nothing. It was not sweet nor satisfying. Luckily the bag of chips was the only thing edible. At least the front desk was friendly? Off to my flight I went and hope to never return to this lounge again.

The BA lounge at the S gates is open 4 hours before the morning and evening flights with BA. The crescent shaped lounge offers views over pine forests. There is free WiFi available, plug sockets though are only found by the window seats so if that is important to you, then get there early as these seats are taken quickly. There are a couple of other less convenient sockets if you do miss out! The staff are attentive from check in through to the lounge itself. The chairs are a bit tired and worn in places, but very comfortable. Food and drink is limited but what there is is of high quality, with a nice selection of local area speciality wines and cheeses.

Nice Lounge with perfect overview obout the apron-/airfield. Service staff is very friendly and welcoming you. Lounge can be a bit squeezed during peak hours. Nice sandwich selection an local cheese from Pikes Place Market. All spirits available and some IPA´s as well.

Flying business is not enough to access, I am told at the door. I am baffled. The " lady"at the door was quite stern.

My…read morelatest visit was on a Tuesday at 2pm and it wasn't busy - there were plenty of seats available. For such a small place the food options are pretty good. The salad bar was great - a Cobb salad option (shredded chicken, carrots, cherry tomatoes, blue cheese, greens, and dressing) and a kale edamame salad. Other food options included chicken fried rice, Thai curry soup, caprese sandwiches (veggie & turkey options), chocolate chip cookies, chocolate parfait cups, fresh oranges, and some small snack options. Overall it looked clean but dated. The bathrooms are clean and I didn't try out the Wi-Fi this time! Not sure I would pay to come here but with Priority Pass it was worth the trek all the way to the end of the A gate wing.

Otherwise I wouldn't waste money to enter, especially since Concourse A is largely peaceful, with tons of seating and outlets. This lounge doesn't have nearly enough outlets. Tip: Sit by the restrooms, there's a power strip. Staff do their best, and they're mostly cheery or neutral. Never tried the drinks here. Food isn't bad. There are desserts! The fried rice is decent, and the salad bar is okay. Unusually, they had a whole box of fresh spicy bird's eye chilis available. I've never seen that before, and made sure to enjoy that. Yow!

You can only get pre-brewed drip coffee here. I went during lunch. They updated their soups to to winder vegetable soup and creamy Thai chicken & rice soup, while there's still teriyaki tofu rice and chicken and vegetable rice. There is a choice of two salads: kale based and spring mix based. If you're feeling a little bit indulgent, potato chips and dip are available as is chocolate pudding. There are also the requisite chocolate chip cookies. Large picture windows reveal airplane hangers and Mt. Rainer in the background. The lighting is much better than the other lounge. This is an OK lounge; I wish they made repairs in a timely fashion.

The food options is very limited (good enough all things considered) but the taste has a lot of room for improvement... They also have tomato soup or curry if you'd like something else not tofu&veg teriyaki or just fried rice. They also have the salad bar and sandwich etc snacks. The bar has some good options compared to when I first visited years ago. Nonetheless, the staffs are always nice and friendly. But... their espresso/coffee machine has been down for like almost a whole year now... would be nice if they can get it fixed someday now..

Public transportation to the airport has also improved with Link, though it is still somewhat difficult to get from Bellevue to the airport quickly. Usually at least 90 minutes. As for the roads to the airport, they have gotten very congested with some cars parking on the shoulder while waiting for the call to pick up their loved ones. It is really a hassle to drive to the airport during the holidays. I have also seen facilities go downhill a bit. The last few flights I have taken, the gate waiting areas have been littered with trash on the ground. Granted I was taking a couple red eye flights so it was the end of the day, Though it leaves a lasting impression about cleanliness and whether the airport has enough resources and manpower. I do also avoid buying anything to eat at the airport now as the prices have gotten out of hand. Compared to a decade ago, I would more often than not get a meal here because pricing was still fairly reasonable. Overall, I like the relative ease of flying out of SEA compared to other large US airports. Though I think they could do better to improve the passenger experience.
