Had the best complementary buffet in an airport lounge in my life. My wife, her mom, and I were traveling back home to LAX from Seattle on a Wednesday. Due to price differences, I ended up booking the direct flight for 17:30 for savings. Since we needed to check out of our Mercer Island airbnb by 11, we ended up staying around the airport for a while. It is stated that Centurion Lounge allows access 3 hours before your scheduled departure. At this location, this is easily enforced by not letting one join their mandatory virtual queue until the time is within that timeframe. So we joined the queue at exactly 2:30, and got a text invitation with QR code 15 minutes later. Check-in was the same, requiring the actual CC that grants entry, along with ID and boarding pass. It's a pretty big lounge and it wasn't packed like we saw from previous visits, so then appreciated the timed entry that we had just gone through. We were able to find seating near the bar area. The first thing I noticed was the busy cold seafood bar, situated near the coffee bar. It looked good, but didn't realize how good until I started to partake. There were two chefs manning the bar...one constantly shucking oysters and the other making sure the shrimp and scallops were maintained, joining in the shucking when he could. It was called the 'Puget Sound Raw Bar', and consisted of freshly shucked Kumamoto and Takara Oysters on the half shell, scallop Ceviche on the half shell, salmon crudo, poached prawns, two different types of poke, and various seafood salads. I was really impressed with the oysters...instead of the typical Pacific oysters, this was Kumamoto which is so much sweeter, but so much smaller. Have never had more than half dozen at a time of those, and I had way more than that this time (my wife and her mom don't like cold seafood, let alone raw, so felt I had to make up for that). I did have my fill of giant chilled shrimp, though. And the scallop ceviche was absolutely delicious. The salmon poke used wild salmon caught in the area...even in poke, it was obvious that it was king salmon and the quality just shined. All of this was quality that would fit into a high priced seafood tower at a high-end steakhouse. We had time, so ended up trying different types of their cocktail drinks from the bar as well. They allow you to only pick up one drink per person at a time, so had to request my wife to go up to directly pick up hers. Later learned that this buffet is only offered once or twice a month, and only for 3-4 hours. Looking back, I felt like I hit the lottery by being offered this for no additional cost at the exact time of our visit. Will take these small wins, whenever I can. read more

If you're planning to visit the Centurion Lounge at Sea-Tac, my biggest piece of advice is to join the waitlist in the Amex app as soon as you clear security. In the app, tap the Membership tab at the bottom, select Airport Lounges, find the Seattle Sea-Tac Centurion Lounge, and then tap Join Waitlist. During my visit, the wait to get in was longer than expected (45 minutes) and using the waitlist can save you a considerable amount of time. After seeing the lounge in person, it was easy to understand why there is often a wait. The space is beautiful, but it's much smaller than I anticipated and can get very crowded during peak travel times. Another thing to know is that the lounge isn't the easiest place to find if it's your first visit. It's tucked away near Koi Sushi in the middle of the main concourse food court area, so keep an eye out for the signs as you make your way through the terminal. Once inside, I could see why so many travelers want access. The lounge is modern, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were outstanding throughout my visit. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The vanilla latte was excellent and easily one of the better coffees I've had in an airport lounge. Service at the coffee bar and throughout the lounge was top-notch. The food was good, although the selection felt more limited than I expected. There was a soup station, salad options, appetizers, and several hot entrées. Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. The green smoothies were fantastic, and the made-in-house ice cream was a standout and worth saving room for. I typically favor going to the Delta Sky Clubs when flying through Seattle, so it was nice to finally check out the Centurion Lounge. My husband specifically wanted to try it on this trip, and I'm glad we did because it was a worthwhile experience. Overall, I think the Centurion Lounge is definitely a great option if you have access. However, if you also have access to the two Delta Sky Clubs at Sea-Tac, I would personally choose those instead. The Sky Clubs offer a much more spacious experience, significantly more seating, and what feels like three times the number of food options. I've also never had to wait to get into a Sky Club in Seattle, whereas the wait for the Centurion Lounge was substantial. That said, I still enjoyed my visit. The lounge is attractive, the service is excellent, the coffee is great, and it's a comfortable place to relax before a flight. If lounge access comes with one of your cards, it's absolutely worth visiting. I'm just not sure I would pay $50 separately for access given the crowds and limited space. If you're looking for a comfortable place to recharge, grab a quality coffee, enjoy a meal, and escape the terminal for a bit, the Centurion Lounge delivers. Just set your expectations regarding the size and wait times. While my personal preference remains the Delta Sky Clubs, I can absolutely see why Centurion Lounge fans enjoy this space, especially for the service, coffee, and overall atmosphere. read more

Give this guy on help desk a raise !! Pretty good experience. We came almost at the closing time. My friend had lounge access and plan was to pay $50 for me a guest. It's a bummer that Amex has taken away companion option. Since we were already pretty late - there is so much we could eat/drink. Given we had a long red eye flight - we decided to go in. The guy was sweet enough to offer me a free entry. In retrospect that makes sense - what are they gonna do with leftovers anyways. May just earn some positive PR - and they surely did from my end. I took his permission if I can put him on a review. Talking about lounge - pretty good ambience, have been to other Seattle airport lounges and this one is the best. The food on the night was average but loved the carrot-turmeric-shot. The cookie were also pretty freshly baked. Our excitement to try the Centurion Lounge at SEA turned into disappointment. Front desk told us to scan the barcode and it will be about 30 mins wait. Forty five minutes passed, no text message so I decided to asked. They cannot find my name on the list, so I showed them the time when I received the email joining the dreaded wait list and they let us in. Entered and surprised at least 4-5 tables were empty! Food was just average. Not impressed with the selection and quality of dishes. I believed the only three great things about this lounge were the "Blue Roast", plane spotting and courteous dining staff. I paid $50 for my wife and I believed it wasn't worth it. Used and paid Delta Sky Lounge twice during our travel for $50 each and both times were worth it and zero wait times! If you have access to different lounge try it first so less stress while traveling! read more

Beautiful! The food was definitely better than some of their other lounges. Although not as big as their flagship in Atlanta, this is probably my favorite Centurion lounge so far. The Centurion Lounge struggles with its basic operations more than the others. There were no utensils then no coffee cups - you get the idea. The lounge knows how many people will be there so it hard to understand why it cannot plan better. The new location has some airport views if you can find the seat. I've tried to access this lounge before on a previous Seattle layover but there was a 45 minute wait. This time I submitted my name in advance while sitting on the plane taxiing and the timing worked perfectly. Got my notification, walked off the plane and into the lounge. The low(er) yelp rating from past reviewers had me managing expectations and I'm glad I did. It is a spacious lounge that winds much further back so there is ample seating throughout. The bar is popular. So is the coffee bar. It appears to have a rotating menu based on past pictures compared to what was listed on the menu today. The warm food selection is OK. Not impressive but it'll provide a nourishing meal. The salad bar is petite. There are 2 soup offerings. If you're curious enough to still check it out, I suggest joining the waitlist online as soon as you land (or while in security line) instead of walking up to the lounge and asking. I don't think it's worth the 30+ minute wait but if you time it right, you can walk right up and enter. One thing I will give this location major kudos for - the staffing levels and prompt cleaning/service is top notch. This is a very well staffed lounge that can handle high volume of visitors. I watched clean dishes and utensils restocked rapidly, dishes cleared right away, food refreshed consistently, and servers repeatedly walking through the area. So for that, I would say this lounge deserves top stars. Just wish the food offerings were a little bit better. read more

And the bar in the front part has great cocktail options as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Stopped into the Centurion Lounge before our flight this last weekend. We're not members, but our friends are, so we were able to get in with them but had to pay a fee. Our flight was super early so the lounge wasn't very busy at all. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet and everything was pretty decent. I tried the tofu chorizo (surprisingly had a good kick to it), pepperoni eggs (definitely interesting and nothing I've had before), and a few other little things that were decent. After eating breakfast we hit the bar for some preflight sips. We stuck to mimosas and they know how to pour them here! Dang near 95% champagne and just a little OJ for color (aka the correct way). Our bartender was also super personable and funny and joined in on our conversations. Great service and attitude for it being 6:30am. The lounge is on the mezzanine level above the food court in the central terminal. There is a lot of seating available. Dining type seating is more towards the front and more comfortable seating behind the food bars past the restrooms which offer views from windows. The service good, attentive, and friendly. The food was slightly above average but they had a nice and varied selection including 3 different cookies not including brownies. The had a coffee bar which had ice cream and the Seahawks Soda which was a good mocktail. Overall a pleasant experience. Could've been better but could've been much much worse. read more

The lounge is very large, accommodating a lot of people yet the buffet and bar are not over crowded allowing a quick pick up for food and easy drink ordering. They also have a coffee bar where speciality coffee and tea drinks can be ordered and there is kombucha on tap. This bar offers quick bites like you would find in a Starbucks counter. The clean up staff are quick to pick up any finished dishes and trash, keeping the lounge clean looking. It is always refreshing to stop in while traveling. read more

My first time at the Centurion Lounge, and wow--the place is huge. They've got a full bar, a full coffee bar where you can get fresh cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, and even morning smoothies. The buffet has a nice spread too: a cold salad bar, hot entrées, soup, and desserts. There are also self‑serve stations for tea and coffee if you want to make your own drink. You do have to check in and get an eligibility code, especially if there's a waitlist. They only let you check in within three hours of your flight. The hot food options included Brussels sprouts, chicken breast fillets, potatoes, eggplant casserole, rice, carrot soup, cookies, brownies, and more. Drinks are easy--you can order cocktails, juices, soda, whatever you want from the bar. We got in pretty quickly for a Sunday night and there were plenty of open seats and tables. Centurion louge at Seattle airport was by far the nicest airport lounge in the airport. On the second floor above the main terminal, you have a nice view and pretty decent accommodation. The service (once you get in) is great but the front desk workers could be more friendly. The food, especially the coffee bar and the small bites they have there, is great. The coffee bar itself deserves 5 stars. I love the selection of beverages as well as other specials such as the fresh smoothies. We had to issue getting a place to sit as the lounge is large. The Centurion Lounge at SeaTac had a solid atmosphere for a quick airport stop. I grabbed a brown sugar cortado, which was good, and the broccoli smoothie was surprisingly nice too. The food overall was pretty mid, but the bourbon selection, especially the Woodinville bourbon, was a real highlight. Bonus points for the Mother's Day flowers they were handing out -- that was a thoughtful touch. read more

I visited this lounge on a Monday around 4pm and had to join a waitlist before being allowed to enter. I was on the waitlist for probably about 15 minutes which was not too bad. I appreciate them for having a waitlist to prevent the lounge from being too full. When I entered, I could see why there was a waitlist because they were pretty busy but I was still able to find somewhere to sit and plug in my phone. The food and drinks are pretty much the same offerings as other Centurion lounges. I opted to pretty much just load up on desserts since I wasn't hungry. I had some dark chocolate chai ice cream, a piece of red velvet cake and a chocolate chip cookie. All 3 of them were very good. And, I also ordered a cortado from their espresso bar that was pretty good. One of my favorite things about traveling is using lounges and this lounge is pretty good. read more

Extremely disappointed in how this lounge is managed. First they have a waitlist of about 45 minutes. The only lounge I have seen this issue. Second, I put my name on the waitlist and wait 45 minutes to an hour. Apparently, they expect me to stand in front of the check-in counter the entire time and not wander the airport. Because when you're at the top of the waitlist, you only have 10 minutes to check in. If you do not make it your you're kicked off the waitlist and have to rejoin. So you get to lose another hour waiting. The kicker is when you finally get in, the lounge is not even full. I will say we go to the Denver lounge and there's never a waitlist, but it is packed. No discretion when you arrive. 10 minutes late to let you back in. Furthermore, the notification is only made via email. So you're constantly checking your email to make sure you catch when you're confirmed on the waitlist cause you only have 10 minutes to make it back. Perhaps a text might be a little bit easier but then of course, people to return on time and you have more people in the lounge which I think is what you're trying to avoid. Well, I guess the positive side is making me wait. Another hour gives me the time to fill out this review. Again, very disappointed in the waitlist experience. Not worth spending $75,000 on the AMEX business or having an AMEX personal. Make sure question whether the annual fee is worth it. Especially when you have access to the Alaska lounges and several others. This is why we have the card. read more

The Centurion Lounge at Sea-Tac is a great spot to relax before a flight. Variety of food options, with plenty of variety to suit different tastes. I especially appreciated the Ollipop fridge (such a nice touch!) alongside a full coffee bar and a well-stocked alcohol bar. The space itself is comfortable and modern, with large windows offering great views of the airfield. It's also centrally located in the airport, making it easy to access no matter where your gate is. Omgosh they renovated and it's sooo nice. It took me awhile to find it, had to ask someone for help. It's located at the back of the food court. The sign is up up up in the food court and hard to spot. U then take an elevator up and check in with code, ID, and valid boarding pass. I came early around 5:40am, still a line to check in but no wait time. Once u go up they have an open terrace that has a view of the food court and it's so vibey and nice with the lights. There r also inside spaces and seating where the food bar is. They had a good breakfast selection of sausage, egg, spongy ricotta pancakes, and even a smoothie! I really love they have a dedicated coffee shop where u can order a Lavender Honey latte or Elderflower latte (their specialities) or any regular coffee order. There's a large bar with newly refreshed menu from the culinary collective, and expansive seating to catch the latest on sports. The part that I don't like about this lounge in recent times is that its so busy that the wait is 30+ minutes, and that there's a lack of air conditioning in the back room that makes it a bit hot and cramped. Looks fairly new and the bar is better than the old delta sky club but I'd pick the sky club over this place solely because the people that work the desk a extremely rude and lack any kind of customer service. I was putting my belt on as I just arrived to this mediocre lounge and some young kid comes up and says; "you can't stand here." He could've have addressed this in a nicer way. The food was decent and I liked the coffee bar that lets you order drinks to go so that you can have a coffee in hand while you leave the lounge. There was no waitlist when I entered but there was definitely not a lot of seats or tables left when I entered. The lounge is no longer in terminal B and is centrally located. I ate before entering the lounge, so I can't comment on the food. I also haven't been to many lounges so my expectations may not be as high as other travelers. You'll need to take the elevator by Evergreen to get to the second floor which opens to the check in counter. Make sure you check the app to see if there's a wait before wasting your time going. However, service was very friendly and the area seemed to be kept clean and was promptly tended to. I was there on a Saturday early afternoon which wasn't too busy. I did have to join the waitlist on the app but killed some time in the delta sky lounge prior to getting into Amex. There seemed to be a wide range of food and people were going back for seconds, thirds, maybe even fourths. There's a good amount of seating, but it's spread out into multiple rooms unlike delta sky club which is mainly one big floor with a smaller upstairs (and no elevator). You'll find outlets only along the walls and windows. Some of the seating is reserved for larger groups (which you can take if you are) or higher Amex members. Bathrooms were kept clean. When I flew out of Seattle last year, I complained about not having the fancy Amex card to access a nicer lounge. This time, that wasn't a problem. Fortunately, there was no wait to get into the Centurion Lounge. The interior is super spacious with ample amount of seating. Even when I was there this past Saturday afternoon, it was only at about 60% capacity. Aside from the comfortable space, I really enjoyed the coffee bar. I liked the cold brew and the vegan chocolate pudding. If I'd had more time, I would've tried some of the espresso drinks and other small bites. The hot bar was just OK. I ate some green beans and brussels sprouts, which were pretty greasy. Everything else looked kind of unappetizing, so I skipped it. Overall, 3.5/5, but bumping it to a 4/5 because I enjoyed the space and the solid coffee bar. That said, I did expect a bit more from a Centurion Lounge, especially since the Amex Plat isn't exactly a cheap credit card to have. read more

There are already made smoothies that you can get at the coffee bar, or you can order different lattes/coffees if the regular machines aren't what you're feeling. There was an apple chai smoothie that was pretty good-- a solid amount of spices that wasn't overwhelming. The hot bar had a pretty decent selection of food as well. While there's plenty of seats, it was still incredibly full around 3pm on a Saturday. Even so, there wasn't a wait to get in which is highly unusual. Check in staff here was just awful; rude and discriminatory, and on a serious power trip. Staff allowed multiple people in prior to 3 hour rule (all same flight/situation as me), but they wouldn't let me in until 2.5 hours before. Rude, even when I met a vip Amex and he offered to pay and bring me in as his plus one instead of me entering on my own card. Once in - check in staff then came in and asked me to move from a centurion reserved table despite me sitting with a friend who was that level. Seriously. What a serious awful experience with the checkin staff. The staff once I was finally let in was great - there was an incredibly sweet older gentleman working who was so helpful. Bar staff made a fabulous old fashioned. Coffee bar/staff so sweet! As far as food - the hot buffet was delicious and a step up from the delta lounge. I never found a place to get soft drinks, but the tea and coffee selections were great. The peppermint chocolate sorbet was SO GOOD. Giving two stars because of the wait staff and food; but the check in staff needs a serious overhaul. read more
