A great experience on a long 7.5 hour flight from London back to the states. For these long flights, they have screens at the back of every seat with free movies, USB charging ports, and a free pair of headphones is provided. You also get a meal, and two snack and drink servings. The staff was great as well. I would definitely fly British again!

Flew in Club Suites the other day and it was a decent experience. Booked direct and was able to check-in online with a boarding pass, pending document verification at the airport. Terminal 5 at Heathrow is for British Airways with a separate check-in for Club. To my surprise, the queue for full service check-in was quite long. There was a dedicated bag drop line along with a document verification line. The priority screening was helpful for Club passengers although the security process was rather chaotic.... Boarding for long haul flights at B gates is a couple tram stops away. There are limited food options once at the B wing. The 777-300ER was in great shape, especially the cushions in Club Suites. There was a sliding door with my suite which was available after takeoff. I was extremely impressed with the catering out of Heathrow, which seemed to be done by Do & Co. Each course was presented and plated separately. The quality of each course was excellent. I was serviced by the in-flight manager whom addressed me by name with every interaction, which was surprising. Between meal services, I found the crew to be lazy as I had to head to the galley to get more water, some snacks, or a drink. Rubbish wasn't collected from my seat either. The dust bins were rather hard to find in the galley. My flight from Heathrow departed on-time and arrived on-time to SFO.

British Airways is based in the United Kingdom, flies to several dozen countries, and carries tens of millions of passengers per year. This Yelp listing is for the British Airways check-in counter and concourses in Heathrow Airport. In 2025, my husband and I flew from Pittsburgh to London to Barcelona on British Airways. Our flight from London to Barcelona departed over 1.5 hours late. The gate changed, which we noticed on a sign but did not hear on any loudspeaker announcement. We at least had a seat in which to wait. The boarding process could have gone a little more smoothly. They did audibly call groups by number, but an employee told me to go into a short line to board the plane and told my husband to go into a long line, although we were in the same boarding group. A woman whose seat was in the last row on the airplane criticized me in the concourse and on the airplane for boarding before her. The pilot tried to make up time in the air, but we still landed late in Barcelona.

Seattle to London business class Crisp polite professional flight attendants. Sears reckoned enough to sort of sleep on an 8 hr flight. More butt cushion wouldn't been nice. My headset had been used the cord movement caused loud popping and clicked constantly. Good entertainment. Bathroom lines short. Food. Loved my meal. See picture. Had choice of three.

I had a smooth flight with British airways. The food and drinks on the flight were okay. I had an early flight and received pretzels and a drink, gnocchi meal, a cheese and onion pastry with a drink. Everyone that assisted me on the flight was polite and helpful.

Would pay four times the economy fare to fly business class trans Atlantic? Wife and I did it four times in the past 9 months. Late September 2024 wife and I flew from San Francisco to London, and then London to New York City. Late April 2025 flew from Portland, OR to London, and then London to New York City. All four flights by business class. $3800 per person to go from SFO to LHR. 70,000 Alaska Airlines points plus $1000 per person to go from PDX to LHR. At San Francisco and Portland, we can eat hot food in the BA or Alaska Airlines lounge by showing our business class ticket. There is an additional cost of $120-$150 to book your individual seat. Otherwise you can select your seat at no charge 24 hours in advance of the flight. In our case we could wait until 7 days before the flight due to our status with British Airways. Going by Business Class means we can eat in the British Airways lounge at Heathrow, check in our luggage, go through security and get our paper ticket all with the Club World or business class line. Like Hawaiian Airlines, British Airways doesn't have the capability to store tickets electronically in android phone's wallet. British Airways' Boeing 787-10 can seat 256 passengers with 1 restroom for the 8 First Class open suites, 3 restrooms for the 48 flat bed Club World seats, and 2 restrooms between the 35 World Traveller Plus and 165 standard Economy Seats, with 2 more restrooms in the back of the plane.   The seating configuration is 2-4-2 in standard Economy, 2-3-2 in premium economy, and 1-2-1 in business class. Each business class lay flat bed seat takes up the same amount of room as 4 economy seats, and every business class seat is by the aisle. The lay flat seats are 72" in length, compared to 31" pitch in economy and 38" pitch in premium economy. 10 hour flight starting at 7pm and landing at 1pm the next day, flying over the polar route at night and during the daytime mainly over ocean. So there was no demand for window seats going from the West Coast to London. London to New York flight was an 8 hour flight during the day, and I just missed out getting a window seat within the 7 days before the flight. Full meal with appetizer, main course, and dessert and unlimited beverages. Only time I ate British food during my trip, as ate Indian, Thai, Turkish, Chinese and Italian food in London. White leather vanity kit include eye shades, disposable socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, mouth wash. Don't toss that White leather kit, as it sells for $90 on Amazon. Great entertainment with airline provided excellent headsets and displays built into the back of the seats, and adjustable angled. Best thing of course is the lay flat seats, and being able to get 4 hours sleep between dinner and breakfast, and waking up the next day refreshed. It helps that no crying babies nor loud snorers.

BRITISH AIR - NO DELAYS... We started our European journey from the Miami International airport direct to Heathrow, England on British Airways. Twenty days later, we had a British Airways connection flight from Edinburgh, Scotland airport back to Heathrow with a short 1.5 hour no frills layover. Then a long nine hour return flight to the Miami International Airport. The three flights were not delayed and the staff at the airport were friendly and guided us well. The flight attendants were attentive and we were provided food and liquor on the two extended flights. The negatives were the charging stations and the tv hand set were not working properly on board.

    Welcome Toast. Happy Flight!

British Airways business class from ORD to LHR is all right. Competent staff, comfortable seats, ok amenity kit, good drinks, reasonably good food, actually too much food, good entertainment center options. I wish I didn't have to pay extra for seat selection when booking through partner AA. Other than that, I can't complain. Thanks B.A.

I flew on British Airways from Heathrow, London to Dallas, Texas on Airbus A380. I treated myself to Club World business class cabin on this 10 hours flight. Nice lay flat seat with many compartments to store your personal items. A ton of movies/shows on demand. I especially like the door to my "cubicle" for additional privacy. Soft pillow and blankets. It's what you would expect on business class. Champagne on arrival. The meals were okay. I had better meals on EVA Airlines and Philippines Airlines. The flight attendants were nice enough. The flight was delayed for about 30 minutes but they caught up and we arrived pretty much on time. Overall, it was an uneventful flight.

    Love Corn - Disgusting!
    Maggi R.

On the flight from London to Rome, British Airways really missed the mark. In addition to feeling that the crew was indifferent to the passengers on board, they served us a snack called "Love Corn." I am not sure what this really was, but I can assure you it was something that should never be fed to human beings. It looked like something that you would feed to farm animals. It was beyond horrible.

Unless you are a local or have some magic powers, even the booking airline is unable to select any seats, meals, etc. for you. We literally rushed through Heathrow to get to Turkish Airlines, only to discover the lines to get checked in at the gate , and onto the airplane we're just a hot mess. The people at the counter were extremely rude to everyone, and it just made the experience even worse We ended up not being able to sit together, but they found two Aisle seats for us, and we acquiesced to those seats just so we could board the plane. The four hour flight felt like we were being dragged across the top of numerous mountains because it was bumpy and for the first time in my entire life, I had motion sickness from the horrible flight. The one thing I found interesting about this flight and maybe it's just their common practice because we certainly don't see this in the United States, is that there was meal service. Keep in mind there isn't a choice of what you're being given to eat, but if you're hungry, it's better than nothing I suppose. I'm here to say that the food was horrible. The drink service was even worse, and the flight attendants were absolutely rude. Would I recommend this airline?! Absolutely not at least this leg of our journey was completely under desirable, and this plane was extremely uncomfortable.

Did it not occur to them (they had the flight information) that most people would not want to spend 15 hours in the middle of the night at Heathrow when Duty Free is closed as well as the Upper Class Lounge? Tristar charged me in full to wait 5 minutes until hotel told them to scram, then charged in full again to come back at 1:45 p.m. No accommodation made for a longtime customer used to booking in person and not used to military time. Even a driverless car would have known something was up with a 1:45 a.m. pickup. Will book a comfortable black cab in the future. Too bad about all the takeaways at Virgin.

If you're…read morelike me, you probably booked your flight without even considering getting there at that ridiculous hour, then suddenly found yourself in a bit of a pickle. You see, (at the time of writing) the first Heathrow Express train from Paddington to Heathrow is at 5:10am, if you have one of the first international flights out of Heathrow, that doesn't leave much time to play with, plus you have the hassle of getting to Paddington to start with. With all this in mind, I asked around my more jet-set friends and was recommended Tristar cars. This is no minicab service (which start at about £35), but a chauffeur-driven service that is used by many of the top airlines. Including all taxes, I was quoted about £70 for a 4:30am pick-up in Bloomsbury. This is more than a black cab is likely to cost at that time, but this is more than just a black cab. I booked over the telephone and they were very professional and helpful. I received a confirmation email, so ticked it off my list and started thinking about beaches and flip-flops. On the morning of my trip I received a text message a few minutes before the arranged time of my booking informing me that the driver was here. As soon as I emerged from my door he was out the car assisting me with my luggage. The car was a brand new Volvo (you can pay more for better cars, such as Mercedes S-Class), immaculate inside and out and set up for optimum legroom and comfort. The driver was very polite and was just the right level of professional whilst not being too formal. When we got to Heathrow he patiently waited at the drop-off area for a good spot to become available and helped me with my luggage, wished me well and I was on my way, pretty much as happy and relaxed as you can be arriving at Heathrow at that hour. All in all, I'd say that while it's not cheap, the service is faultless so I still think represents good value vs other alternatives. If I were travelling with a group of people, then it would be my first choice every time and is also a no-brainer if your company is picking up the tab. My only slight grumble is that credit card payments have a 3% charge, but if you use the regularly then you won't need to worry about this as you can arrange an account with them. I'll certainly be using them again, not just in London either, they seem to have most major cities covered worldwide by their network.

Instead of 5 days, it was just 2 days…read morethis time but I desperately needed a place to stay just 2 hours before Heathrow closes and I didn't want to spend any more £ £ £. Originally I was planning to just stay overnight at the airport when I missed my connection flight but it turned out that Heathrow doesn't stay open overnight. They kick everyone out after 10pm unless you have a flight to catch, and it reopens at 6am, FYI. People who travel to London a lot are probably already aware how expensive an average hotel can cost in London. It's easy to spend $200-$300/night for a mediocre 2 star quality hotel but I didn't want to spend any more unplanned expenses especially after I blew my budget big time in Scandinavia prior to coming to London. I thought I could crash at my English friend's flat, but unfortunately she already had too many people in her flat and her roommate didn't want any more guest. Since Heathrow doesn't offer any free wifi and I couldn't use my business lounge privilege this time because I flew with a different airline company, I purchased Boingo Wifi (£4/month, which is not bad!!) and did a quick search for a dirt cheap hotel near Heathrow with free shuttle from the airport. I thought about staying at the nearby capsule hotel called Yotel but it turns out that it charges £8-12/hr and if I had stayed from 10pm-6am, it would cost me £64-96($100-$150) which I think is so overpriced for a mere capsule hotel!!! After browsing my iPhone safari desperately, I came across this super cheap hotel "Heathrow Lodge" on booking.com which only charged £25/night for a single private bedroom with a shared bathroom and free airport shuttle. I immediately booked it. Considering how cheap it was, my expectations were quite low and it was pretty much what I expected. Very simple nothing fancy and a bit depressing, it was basically a slightly upgraded version of youth hostel. As soon as I booked the hotel, I called the "hotel" via Skype and requested for the shuttle. The driver came 15 min later and took me and a few other travelers back to the hotel. Considering how taxi and subways are so expensive in London, I thought the free shuttle service alone was worth my extra star. Since the hotel is located only 10 min away from the airport, the noise pollution was horrible until 11pm. Only until I stayed at this humble "hotel", I came to appreciate the British government's strict enforcement of no flight after 11:30pm. Otherwise I'd be up all nigh with that crazy airplane noise blasting every 10 min. There is nothing around the hotel, and the TV didn't work so I suggest you bring something to read if you plan to spend a night here. And if you want to use wifi, you have to pay £5, which is probably how they try to make some extra money. I know that everybody else only gave 1 star rating but if they only knew the average standard hotel price in London, I think they would be slightly more generous with their reviews. When I got stranded in London during the snowstorm for 5 days, I had to pay whopping $315/night at dilapidated Marriott Marble Arch which wasn't that posh at all. This is why I'm telling you this hotel price is a steal!! That said, I must warn you that this place should be considered as your last resort...... if you get stranded in London ask your friends in London first for free accommodation, and if that doesn't work, this will be your most inexpensive alternative. Think youth hostel, but you get your own room and free shuttle to the airport. If you are like me who don't care where you sleep when you are desperate, this is your best bet.
