So the saga continues! For those wanting details, please check the Google I did yesterday for the starting point for this review. I ended yesterday with everything working at 6pm +. Next morning, I get into the car, turn on the radio, go to the Bluetooth connection for my I5 and..............................up comes "NO SERVICE" again. I press buttons, fiddle the knob equivalents and nothing changes. I have a very bad feeling I have killed the stereo. After a few hours I decide to return to Broadway, and park the car across the street. I dismantle the stereo to see if there is a loose wire, and there is no loose wire, so into the store again I go. Ahmed greets me with gusto and charm, and says his assistant, Eddie can help. Eddie looks very slim and young, and is on the telephone. He first apologizes for making me wait, then completes the transaction with his customer after talking in tongues which turn out to be a particularly complicated installation desired by his customer. Impressive, very much so. With that over, he shakes my hand and introduces himself. Proper manners in the US of A! More surprises! Completed with a smile. He listens carefully and then politely asks me to relocate my car so he can analyze the task. He continues to chat and ask all kinds of questions without giving me any sense of inferiority or stupidity - a nice touch to say the least. Upon examining the issue and the stereo he immediately shows me that the problem is not the wiring, stereo or "operator error" but is the Apple iOS. The solution was put in place in five minutes, and I might say in a most humorous and enjoyable session which involved him in asking where my icons were and me responding who the hell knows! We talked on and I obtained all manner of useful info on both the OS and the stereo. As if this wonderful performance was not enough, Eddie refused payment. He even looked embarrassed when I insisted on paying something and headed off to the work area to avoid the issue. I pursued Ahmed who did the same, but I took cash from my wallet and stuck it on the counter and demanded they take it. All I can say is I will be back, with a new installation, and I really enjoyed the interaction. I am just not accustomed to this degree of customer orientation, and frankly, having fun in a car audio store - an unexpected pleasure. It's as good as it gets! I have been trying to find the best place to get sound work done. After research and reviews, I came across Broadway Auto Sound. Growing up in Vallejo, I remember every time I would pass that place, never knowing what it was but later finding out it was a business of great employees, an owner who truly cared about getting you the best deal, and quality work. Went and got subwoofers installed. I asked to make it loud and they delivered beyond my expectations. They did such good work that I brought my girlfriends car in to get a new stereo deck put in and hook up her subs as well. She had gone to a different dealer who gave her an outrageous price and Broadway Auto Sound not only did it for half but they made sure everything was hooked up, looked beautiful, and was up to their highest standards. OK, so check this out right, i bought a deck and have been searching around for almost 2 weeks for a place to install my new deck. i went to all these places and they were going to charge me outrageous prices to install my deck, telling me that because i have the factory Bose sound system that they will have to rewire the whole thing to get it to work and it would take a few hours to do it. man i tell you what i found out about Broadway Auto Sound,and they hooked me up. they have awesome service, they are very courteous, and the prices are very good to. the technician there new exactly what he was doing and he finished the job within a half an hour,. and guess what... he did not have to re-wire the whole car. so if you need a new sound system installed definitely check out Broadway Auto Sound. they are THE BEST. thanks a lot guys i appreciate it.. read more

I had taken my car to a stereo shop out in Napa because the speakers were cutting off and on when I would go over bumps and I was told my system was no good and needed to be replaced even though when it was playing it sounded fine to me. I was given an estimate of $3500. I had heard about a stereo shop in Vallejo on Broadway that did good work so on my way home I stopped by to check it out, and I'm glad I did. I met the owner and told him the problems I was having and he said lets take a look, and the first thing he said when he saw the stereo was "that a nice system". He listened to if for a minute and then told me to pull the car in and said he would check it out. Within an hour he had everything working and it only cost me $100. I brought my 2011 ML350 in for a new stereo and was greeted by Eddie. He was extremely knowledgeable about car electronics and very personable. We agreed upon a Pioneer receiver with navigation and SiriusXm. After installation Eddie was very patient with showing me how to operate the unit. Everything worked except the radio; Eddie said it had something to do with Mercedes Benz cars and had me bring the car back in for additional work on it. Overall, I love Eddie and Oscar, but dislike my new Pioneer receiver. I still don't have a working radio, but I guess those are the breaks. I wouldn't recommend the Pioneer AVIC-W8500 NEX; the buttons are too small and the navigation unit under-performs. I miss my radio... read more

Customer service is insane here! Best of the best! I came in looking to have a 15 inch sub hooked into my Chrysler 300 all I can say is wooooooow!!! The initial amp was an alpine they sold me. It would continuously cut off when bass would hit low and it was a 400 dollar amp. I didn't even have to call they called me back t ask how the setup was working out. I told them my issues they called me in the next day. They took out the amp discovered it was faulty and replaced it with a Memphis at no charge! How can you beat that. The staff is friendly and they allow you to sit in the shop to watch them install your system. I would recommend to anyone looking for some music. This place is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I called yesterday to see about getting an alarm installed and was told by Eddy that if I brought my 1998 Chevy Z71 Silverado in at 10AM today, I could get a basic alarm system installed in 3 hours for 200 bucks. I dropped the vehicle at 10AM and I got a call 3 hours and 20 minutes later saying the truck was ready. What I liked about BAS is the no BS policy they seem to live by. I don't have time or patience for jive-ass BS and was very pleased the fellows at BAS didn't engage in any. I should mention too that a day before I called a place that was recommended to me in El Cerrito but they wanted 350 bucks for the same alarm/labor installation. So there. read more

Broadway audio has a a unique staff in the sense that they take personal satisfaction in their work. The prices are great and the work is outstanding. The staff works quickly, efficiently, and has years of experience wiring cars for audio and alarms. Installing my subs, amp and 4 door speakers only took 45 minutes. I did the subs three years ago and still haven't had any problems at all. They still work as well as they did the first day I got them. Not to mention the parts and labor warranty, which Ill probably never use since this was done so well. This is the coolest place I go for auto tunes it changed my life. My sound system went from broken to state of the art and now I can party in my car with the music blasting to my favorite tunes. The graphics on the building take the cake. Snakes are killer and this is a real viper one of my favorite snakes. The snake is painted on the front of the building so you can't miss the uniqueness of the place. Oh and the best for last, the customer service is the best most warm genuine service ever! BEST SHOP IN THE BAY! Hands down best shop to deal with in the bay area for: Speakers, Stereo, Alarm, Tints, stickers and a bunch of other stuff. Came in for an install of 3 amplifiers, 2 batteries, an isolator, stereo, and new door spkrs. Left with a whole new car and Interior led lights as an added gift from the guys over there.
