Went to this garage bc it's next to my apartment. I knew I was taking a risk bc they are not known for good service (2 star rating). But it was only to check a tire leak which they plugged 3mo ago. Gustavo assigned the job to a mechanic who couldn't find the issue. They told me there's no issue with the tire. So I mentioned to them that I've been filling the tire with air for the past week so I know there's something wrong. Gustavo proceeded to argue with me and claim that there's nothing wrong with the tire and that I should check it myself (I don't have to check it bc I fill it with air every morning!) After 15min of arguing I decided to leave and take the car elsewhere. The other garage I used found the leak immediately where Broadway Automotive originally plugged the tire. The garage I used showed me the issue before I approved the work needed to fix the leak. This experience tells me that Broadway Automotive is not capable of finding a leak on a tire that they originally plugged a few months prior. If they can't fix a tire, how are they qualified to fix other car related issues? Gustavo in the front desk is the worst customer service a person any employee anywhere can have. I had 20 minutes waiting just to get information, I had to wait because he was on his personal phone talking. Once I got a chance to ask he gave me attitude. Fine, we proceeded.. when he was on the phone with the claim he asked me if I will still do it wether they approve it or not. I replied "no" because its a huge price difference, he then caught an attitude and said his time is valuable to be on the phone waiting. I said my time is valuable as well and did not say anything when he was on the phone, he got mad and continued to go on and on with his unprofessional self. If you want to be respected as a customer, and save your valuable time I recommend going elsewhere where customers are welcomed. I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! My car issue was attempted theft. The back passenger window was broken for entry. They tried to Hotwire the car, therefore, the whole steering wheel panel was destroyed. They only got to move the car about 100 Ft. before the steering wheel lock stopped the car. Grateful for that in spite of the vandalism. Ugh, thieves!!!! Had the car towed to Broadway Automotive and dealt with Mr. Egan. This man, who I believe is the owner, was very professional and pleasant. My car is Hyundai, Elantra, which is one of the top cars on the list for theft. Therefore, the timeframe for getting parts can be lengthy. There is a backlog. Well, I guess I was pretty fortunate. Reading some online reviews from other areas, some of the waits were months. My car was brought in on a Wednesday afternoon, and completely repaired the following week on Thursday afternoon. Great. Quick service and helpful guidance. Got rear ended in my Mercedes SUV. It was the first time I had to go through the insurance back and forth and Idan was really helpful in walking me through the process (we got the initial lowballed estimate from the insurance company (all after-market parts), then gave the insurance the revised quote from Broadway Automative (proper parts, covering full extend of damage beyond what you could see). Idan handled the insurance inspection and had the parts ordered and ready to go for when they approved the revised quote. Everywhere else was quoting 3 weeks minimum to complete the process. Though the work they do is usually good, today I had a run in with them. They serviced our car & all is fine. They parked our car on the street and it happened to directly in front of our apartment and exactly where we often park. I asked to grab my keys and I'd leave the car in PUBLIC STREET PARKING where it was. They forced me to move my car so that they could move another one of their cars into that spot. It's public street parking, not their lot. They were belligerent and I felt uncomfortable that I would be harassed if I didn't move it. I likely will not use their services again. read more

Towed my car there without asking me where i wanted to tow vehicle so ended up having to pay again for them to tow it to my location. Then to top it off waited 3hrs for them to drop my car off and they never came. So i called and found out they left my car around the corner from where it was supposed to be delivered parked with the key hidden with no heads up that it was delivered. read more

My 1990 Honda Civic had a tune-up and the car ran better than ever - I could tell the difference...and then I needed a new starter and alternator - the car was starting intermittently. They showed me how they diagnosed it and fixed it while I waited....(It's not like they didn't have other business, either.).. I used their wifi to work on my laptop while I waited. Plus the guys in the garage sing while they work - an added bonus. A nice place with nice people. I wrote the first review in 2008. I believe management changed a few years ago. My car shut off on me and was towed here. Two gentlemen in their pick up truck noticed me and offered to help me. they knew a place ti bring my car and would try to catch them before they closed. The time was about 10 to 5pm. He called the shop. I assume they're friends. They hooked my car up to their pick up truck and took me there literally like 5-6 blocks. I paid them a fee of $80. When we got there, i can tell they were preparing to close but i asked anyway if he could atleast tell me what he thinks it could be that caused my car to do what it did, just based on his knowledge and me explaining to him what happened. He said no and that they're closing. I respected it. I had to be to work anyway in the next 20 mins. So we agreed that i would leave my car there over night and that he'd loook at it first thing in the morning. Now having had time to think i decided that first thing in the morning I'd have my car picked up and brought to my dealership. My car is brand new and shouldn't be having these issues. So i called first thing in the morning and told them that i scheduled a tow truck to pick up my car. I was told that that wouldn't be necessary because they fixed the car and it was currently being test driven. I was a little confused because i didn't get a phone call about the findings or anything and already the car was fixed ?! Allegedly it was a blown fuse. I insisted that I'd have the car picked up and that no one called me to tell me of the findings and if i wanted them to fix anything. They were asking for me to pay about $75 because they had already fixed the "blown fuse". Long story short after being hung up on several times and having to cal back because the tow truck was already en route and being called broke and that i didn't want to pay the $75. It was agreed upon to just pay the over night fee of about $27 in which i paid over the phone and was again hung up on. My car was picked up and test driven at my dealership and it was shutting off still. I actually needed an oil change. In this case i feel they could have had the potential to be god and i feel they knew they were wrong for just going ahead and doing anything to someone's car without communicating. This is a case of principle. Having a car, $75 is literally nothing. So it wasn't the price it's principal. Would they have fixed something worth $500 before contacting me not knowing if they'd get paid or if i even wanted them to fix it. I appreciate them holding my car over night. I needed that and i wanted it to be looked at so i can have an idea. The customer service was decent at first then went horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place because they folded under pressure. read more

Got an oil change here 2 months ago after I purchase my first car from an Auction, drove my car 800 miles now my oil is charcoal black. When I first entered the garage I explained to them I wasn't sure which oil my car was using at the time before the work was done so the little Mexican guy they have proceeded to change my oil anyway. As I now look the receipt I see he also put the wrong oil. 5w40 Reg and my car uses 10w 30 so this dude had no care in the world what would happen to my car. I ask for diagnostic test on my car because I had a check engine light and I wanted to repair the vehicle. Put it like this I was charged $122 for an oil change and the little Mexican dude putting the diagnostic machine and tell me the error code. The man also put fake work done to my car as he stated on the receipt ( changed and rotated tires , checked brakes and all fluids as I was there when everything was being done and I'm obliviously not F**king blind. long story short I will be visting this establishment in a few weeks with an attorney and the COPS U f**King Thieves covered in oil Smfh read more

I've gone back to this place several times and I'm finally finished. I always felt like they were chearting me. Twice I've asked for a wheel alignment. The first time, there were other requests I made, so they were like, 'oh, we forgot to do it.' The second time they claimed they did it, I paid for it and it doesn't drive like they did it. I finally took it into someplace else and they said, it was only halfway done, never was balanced and had to be redone. I've gone to this mechanic twice, once for new brake pads and once for an estimate on some body damage to my car....and I have refused to go back. I believe they didn't have the standard parts to switch out the brake pad so they gave me a subpar product. As a result my brakes would make a terrible screeching sound anytime I stopped. When it rained, forget it...it screeched even louder. When I took my car into another shop, they told me that the brake pads were poorly installed and fixed it right away. After this first experience, I should have never returned. The second time I went to this business, I simply needed an estimate for some body damage repair. A woman who worked there told me that I would have to pay for the estimate. Pay for an estimate? NOBODY charges for an estimate, and if they do, you should RUN...which is exactly what I did. It's unfortunate that this is such a shady place, as it's conveniently located very nearby. Sigh! read more

I have had a number of repairs made at this shop. In some cases they are reasonably priced, in others not so much. Overall I have used them for tires, brakes, tie rod ends and axle l not to mention an alternator and battery. In the case of the alternator(and battery) it went bad in less than a year and they replaced it free of charge same thing with the driver side axle twice. Not sure whether they are using substandard parts or what. I had the other side axle (CV boot) done 5 years ago with no problem elsewhere. They are friendly especially Marcos and he will negotiate on price which I welcome. I will continue to go there as long as I know what is wrong and get an idea of common pricing after some research before going. read more

The good news: they did the work, they finished in a timely manner and they were friendly. The other news: I came in with a clunking noise in my car. They diagnosed it as bad shocks and struts and offered to replace them, which they did. However, this didn't solve the problem. Additionally, I asked for some minor body work to be done and was given a price. They then took it upon themselves to do more work then we asked them to do and tried to charge us more than originally agreed upon. read more

They replaced parts (that didn't need replaced) without running it past us first and tried to rope us into getting even more work done (that would have totaled over $900). This is embarrassing, but I was driving a few weeks ago, took my eyes off the road when I saw this gorgeous woman walking by in a perfect sundress and drove straight into a fire hydrant, cracking my front end and denting the area around one of the front wheels. Broadway Automotive not only towed my car in a flash; they fixed my car in 48 hours with a brand new front end, saving me money and time. I went into this shop to get my annual emissions test. They told me my car failed and that I would have to do a number of items, none of which were priced reasonably. I told them not to go forward with the work, at which point they came back and told me that not all of the work needed to be done (if it didn't need to be done, why did you tell me it was needed at first?). Of course, if I didn't do the work, I would still have had to pay for the emissions test (and paid again when I had it retested), so they had me between a rock and a hard place. At worst, they're fraudsters, at best, an expensive place to have work done. Bottom line, if you're hoping to find a place that will work with you to get through a simple emissions test, skip this location. read more

This is the worst experience I ever had with an auto repair place. I simply wanted 4 new tires for my car. After 3 days of botching the job, I finally had to pay someone else to balance 2 of the tires, since I refused to waste any more time with them. They sent me home once with different sized tires on the front and back, and then the next time with the wrong speed rating for my car. They tried to tell me they were giving me a better one, but a little research proved they were lying to me. So you would think that on the third time, they could get 4 new tires right, but no! The front tires weren't balanced right, and the whole steering wheel was shaking. If I could, I would ask for my old tires back and give the money to a repair shop who can do the job right and not lie to their customers. Stay away! read more
