LOVE this spot! I have been visiting this diner ever since I was a child. It has always been so consistent, even over the last few decades. Their breakfast is always so delicious. If you love orange juice, you have to try theirs. It is freshly squeezed. The flavor is phenomenal! I am such a traditional breakfast eater. I always go for their classic 2 egg breakfast, scrambled with rye toast and a side of bacon (crispy - of course!) This time, I added a side of blueberry pancakes which really hit the spot. The ambiance is such an old school, diner vibe. Definitely come check this place out if you haven't. It is right off of 78 in Bayonne. Even for a Sunday morning, parking was great and we were seated immediately!

Came here with my co-workers for lunch. It wasn't too busy when we arrived 12:30pm. Parking was easy. We were seated right away. The decor of the diner is nice was my first impression. I order breakfast meal. I got the veggie omelet. The food was average. Nothing spectacular that would make me go back. I found the omelet to be a bit dry. I needed ketchup with every bit. All in all, it was an average dining out experience.

I usually love coming to this diner. I should note that I've never had any issues with ordering breakfast items, those have always been fresh and delicious. This time I decided to order a panella sandwich which consist of grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette. The sandwich was really greasy for being just veggies and cheese. It was falling apart. At first bite, it tasted good. It was the fresh mozzarella and basil that really stood out. After a few bites, I started to get a freezer burn taste. I tasted each item separately and sure enough, it was the eggplant. The mozzarella and red peppers with fine, along with the fresh basil. But the eggplant did not taste good at all. The sweet potato fries that accompanied it were alright. My daughter was content with her spaghetti and butter. My grandma was also satisfied with her soup, eggs and home fries. Hopefully it was a one time thing. But I think I would just stick with their all day breakfast items.

Before I begin I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so without further ado let's begin!. My wife and I were on our way to visit my mom and we decided to grab some breakfast, we were looking for IHOP or First Watch but they were further out going away from where my mother lives so we opted to try out this place! Let me tell you we didn't know what to expect but we were astoundingly shocked by the way this diner looked. We walked in the door and were immediately asked how many? It was so quick that when the hostess asked how many I haven't even walked through the door yet!. We were taken to our table and were once again immediately asked what we wanted to drink. My wife and I both opted for coffee, the coffee was fresh and plentiful with countless refills. My wife and I both opted for the breakfast tower, which consisted of eggs, hash browns, cheese and bacon and sausage for about $15.. we both substituted the hash browns for grits with cheese. The food was brought out to our table rather quickly and looked great! ( sorry I didn't take any pictures)! Everything was good and came out in nice portions. I almost forgot to add they have dessert if you decide you want to grab something on your way out as you are paying your tab on your way out!. We will definitely come here again for breakfast on our next visit to Bayonne NJ.. and if you are in this area I would suggest you check it out as well... you'll thank me later when you do!!..

If you're looking for a classic diner experience with an extensive menu, Broadway Diner in Bayonne delivers on all fronts. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the sweet temptation of their dessert display--cakes, pastries, and treats that are hard to ignore whether you're just arriving or heading out. The menu is pretty diverse featuring a mix of Greek, American, Spanish, and other international dishes. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a juicy burger, a gyro platter, or pernil, arroz con pollo, there's something for every craving at any time of the day. The staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The setup is exactly what you'd expect from a traditional diner--booths, counters, and that nostalgic charm that feels both casual and comforting. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Broadway Diner is a solid go-to spot for variety, comfort food.

I've been wanting to try this place for a year or so now and I finally got the chance to stop in recently after a night out in Jersey City. I love the fact that it's open 24/7. It was after midnight and it wasn't busy and we walked in and were seated right away by the front windows. The server was there immediately and I ordered a tuna melt wrap with fries. Wow was it good! I hadn't had a tuna melt in years but regardless of that fact this was probably one of the best ones I've ever had and those fries were delicious and cooked perfectly. I love diners like this and I am glad they still exist even though they are becoming more and more rare. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area that is looking for a late night bite to eat. I also saw that they serve beer, wine, and liquor so that's nice too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. I'll see you again the next time I am in the area. Thanks :)

We came here for a late lunch the other day. I had the French onion soup and tuna melt wrap with fries. My partner had matzah ball soup with an English muffin. The food was good. I'll save the French onion soup for last because I have a lot to say about it. The matzah ball soup was filled with chicken, carrots and noodles with a nice-sized matzah ball. The ball was on the light side (not too hard or dense like you sometimes get at places). A very good matzah ball soup. The English muffin was toasted well. Note: it came pre-buttered, so if that's not your thing you might ask for it with butter on the side. The tuna melt was great. The tuna was delicious (and plenty of it in the wrap), and the flour wrap seemed fresh and had a good texture. The melt was present, but didn't overpower the tuna. There was shredded lettuce and tomato bits in the wrap - very nice. There were a lot of fries with the wrap. The fries were not exceptional. They were ok. But the French onion soup. Omg. I've been telling people about it for days. It came and I thought they had sent me the wrong order. There was a flaky dough covering the top. When I removed it by hand, I thought it was a cheese sandwich that they placed over the soup. I quickly figured out that it was a flaky cheese sandwich (instead of croutons or soggy bread sitting in the bowl, it was a flaky dough filled with delicious cheese). So, the soup bowl is filled with delicious broth and onions, and you control how much bread and cheese you put in the soup or eat separately. I've never seen French onion soup served this way, but I like it. I asked the manager/owner and they said they've always served it this way. Worth a trip.

Wanted a quick bite late night so decided to try Broadway diner. Used to come here as a kid many many years ago. The diner was clean and noticed some upgrades and new renovations done. Service was overall 10 out of 10. Went on a Wednesday night around 11 PM and was seated as soon as we walked in. The waiter was very pleasant took our order and was very kind to give his insight on certain dishes in the menu Decided to try the most popular things people ordered such as the French toast, the cheeseburger, the Philly cheesesteak and the pesto chicken Panini . Food came out very quickly and hot. The lobster soup was decent (did not have high expectations given its a soup from a diner). The French toast was my least favorite item ordered, the consistency and texture was just not to my liking plus the taste of egg was very potent in the batter. The burger overall was OK. It was very homestyle which I do love. The Philly cheesesteak was my favorite item ordered the steak good very well and had a lot of flavor. The pesto chicken panini was good too, just wish it hard a little more pesto for taste. Overall, very good spot to grab a quick bite late night. Will be back

Made a stop here for lunch after my kids ran wild at Catch Air. Conveniently open 24 hours, this diner brings old school vibes. With such a large menu, I decided on a grilled chicken panini with sweet potato fries. The panini was great with bacon and avocado. However, the sweet potato fries were hot but soggy. Only if they were nice and crispy. My wife had the breakfast bagel. She thought the homefries had too much onion in them. Service was attentive and good. Prices were much cheaper than the diners around me. I'll definitely give this place another try as I rather eat at the diner than all the other fast food restaurants surrounding it.

The food here is just ok, nothing crazy. My cheeseburger wrap was a bit disappointing because there was barely any burger in it. I also asked for it medium & it came pretty well done like rubber. On the other hand, my matzo ball soup was delicious & fresh. I also had rice pudding for dessert & it was out of this world!!! My partner had chocolate cake which was delicious as well. Great desserts!!! I just wasn't impressed with my entree. Great service and very cute diner.

Burger looked better than it tasted. Very thin, bread was small and bottom was wet.

I was craving a diner style cheeseburger deluxe so I placed a take out order at Broadway diner over the phone. The process was quick and easy, but I expected a tastier burger. - Ordering and picking up I called and placed an order with a friendly employee. 15 minutes later I showed up and the food was ready. The place is big, there 3 people answering phones just like a small call center and there's a parking lot which is good since this is a busy area. - The food I expected more from my cheeseburger. Although it might look good in the picture, it was just ok. The bottom bread was a little wet probably due to the lettuce and tomatoes and the burger was thin. I've had much better diner burgers. Fries were ok, nothing exceptional. The package came with ketchup, mayo, coleslaw and a small pickle which was a nice touch. I paid $12 with taxes. Would I go back? Maybe, but not for a burger.

One of the two diners to go to in town. Not much to say since diner food is straightforward. But I do enjoy their daily specials versus other places. Haven't had any issues here. Service is pretty friendly.

I went in four a takeout, and when I got home, my food was horrible. When I called the manager, I told him how the fool was.He just brushed me off

This place is only a 5 minute drive from my parents place and didn't know it was here. My mom said…read morethey've seen it for some years and haven't tried them out but, now that I mentioned we like it, she said it's good to know for her and my dad to try out one day for lunch or something. My boyfriend actually did a quick search and find this place to grab something before we got back on the road. Cute little spot on the corner of JFK and like 10th I think. Thought initially there was just the outdoor patio seating for customers that wanted to dine in, but eventually noticed the saloon style swing doors that led to a whole dining room. We didn't go back there since we were pressed for time to her back to Philly. Ordered at the counter and waited in our car since they said it would be about 20 minutes til our order was ready. I was very hungry so I made sure to take a few bites before I started driving - it was very good! I don't know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying it was. It was nice and warm when we got it, the aioli on the sandwich was well balanced and just the right amount on the sandwich. Turkey was tasty and fresh, avocado was just ripe. I made sure to eat the other half later when I wasn't so hungry so I could make sure it was just as good, and it was! Lol Good spot for hearty, fresh lunch options. I would go here again for lunch or breakfast when back home visiting my parents.

Updating my review because I still eat here and have tried so many good dishes/drinks since my last…read morereview in 2021! I have to start by saying i'm ecstatic Little Food is now on the Toast app! If you're a new customer, you get 10% off your order btw. Okay, who was going to tell me Little Food has some of the best pancakes I've ever tasted in my life!? You can order a single pancake, a small stack (3) or a large stack and when you do, make sure you order a side of their whipped cream. Ordering it plain is good by itself but with fruit it just hits the ball out of the park. Not only are the pancakes good, their breakfast burrito is filling, honey dijon salmon with mashed potatoes is a dinner fave plus the impossible cali burger. And you can never forget the brownie it's still chocolatey and made with love. The service here is always quick, easy, and friendly. And keep an eye out for specials too they update every morning they're open. If you're planning to eat here, there's indoor and outdoor seating. It's a small and cozy space that feels like home. Thank you Little Food!
