Cafe Talya is a hidden gem. The service was great... the coffee mug stayed full and the breakfast was quick and delicious. The owner seemed to be running the place by himself taking order and cooking up on the grill. The place was cozy and different to a lot of other breakfast spots. Definitely worth the stop.

We will go back for pancakes! Food wasn't bad but it was way too salty for us. However, service here is crazy good. Our waitress is crazy quick! She's a star. Pancakes were so amazing, a nice amount of fluff and big!

An adorable place to get lunch or breakfast, the food is delicious and cooked right in front of you. The owners are incredibly nice and the service is great. I would highly recommend this cozy local spot for their fresh OJ and their omelettes.

I've eaten here a couple of times over the years and I am always happy with the food and service. The menu has all of the usual diner fare, and a few surprises like the Turkish breakfast. My mushroom and cheddar omelette was very good, including the potatoes; I particularly like that they automatically serve jam with toast. There are not many tables so there usually is a wait, but it goes quick. Service is fast and very warm/friendly so I am bumping up to five stars.

Visited here for the first time today and wow was I impressed. I was greeted by two of the staff who were friendly and knew their customers. Cafe Talya is a small and cozy spot; it's the hospitality plus the delicious menu items that'll keep you coming back! My friend ordered the french toast and I ordered the vegetarian omelet which came with breakfast potatoes and toast. I also ordered a cup of freshly squeezed orange juice as I always have too! Our food came out pretty quick and the portions? Huge for the price! My omelet was cooked to perfection and the breakfast potatoes were crispy. My friend loved her french toast as it came with fruit and whipped cream. I love spots like this and I can't believe I didn't visit sooner. They love their customers and greet each one with a smile. They knew majority by name too. Will be back!

We first ordered take-out from Cafe Tayla a few months back and were hooked! My husband and son have been to Cafe Talya a few times since after hockey practice at Bayonne HS and raved each time about it. So finally I got to sit down to this most excellent food for myself this past weekend. I ordered the original French toast with strawberries and it did not disappoint! So light with just the right touch of cinnamon. Bacon I ordered was crisp and delicious, not greasy at all. My son devoured two orders of silver dollar pancakes and my husband enjoyed his burger and fries. The cafe is small but cozy and inviting. The servers are so friendly and accommodating. We cannot wait to go back. Oh, and the prices are just right too!

Such a hidden gem in Bayonne. Great food, great staff, small space but always accommodating. This is hands down our favorite place to grab breakfast in the area.

Food is absolutely delicious but prices are a little too steep for what you get. Service is hit or miss.

I wanted to order one but was not sure about the big red labeling. Turned me off to them. I ordered a ham/cheese croissant to go with the coffee. The croissant was super sweet and was a bold contrast to the ham/cheese combination. I really did not expect that. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either lol they were kinda just there. The space is super super tiny. It was myself an one other person but if she were to have stood up or someone came in we'd be on top of each other I was a bit confused on where to find the menu at first. They had a chalkboard with items on it for basic stuff . The cost was decent . Overall spent $8 The food and coffee was ok to me. Can't say I was impressed This cafe wasn't really for me and nothing stood out about it . Maybe others will have a different experience than I had but I will not be returning .

The dish I came back for was the Chipotle chicken and waffles. This time the chicken didnt have much flavor. The server came after my second bite and we mentioned all was good but it was after a couple more bites I realized this dish did not taste like before. We didnt see the server again. I ate the meal but added syrup, which I usually don't need to add to flavor it. The person who brought our food was on the register and was at least attentive when I told her our food was just okay. When I told her why she mentioned there's a sauce that goes with the dish. A sauce I didnt know came with it and did not have. So very disappointing!!

I remembered Deluca's unbelievably rich chocolate dessert from years before. I can't remember what it was called, but it had chocolate mousse, cheesecake, and chocolate something else. There was no way for me to finish a slice. Trust me, share it with someone or keep it in the fridge and let it last you several days. Since I was visiting my folks, this cozy little shop was a no-brainer for me. It's Italian and no one bothers you. This is all about cakes and coffee. I had a slice of key lime mousse this time. Oh yes! It was very good, and I can actually finish this one by myself! No guilt there. My latte was perfection. I might even claim it as one of the best I've ever had. *don't hate me, Seattlites* You see, Bayonne, Jersey still offers Italians a hint of cultural identity. From this, I expected nothing but goodness done right from this shop. It did not disappoint. I was there for 2 and a half hours this weekend to study. During that time, it seemed like there were a mix of friendly clientele. As much as I don't want to admit it, I sometimes miss hearing the Jersey accent.
