Not a cookie-cutter chain 2. Somewhere new 3. A menu that wouldn't trigger "I don't see anything I like" syndrome Enter: Broadway Plates & Pints 4008 Broadway, Grove City Grove City is that sweet spot... close enough to Columbus to feel alive, but still has that "people wave at you for no reason" energy. Smaller place, but in a good way. Elevated tables, bar seating, normal tables for us normal-ish folks. Big windows for prime people-watching. Didn't even know ketchup could have a hometown. #OH.. All-natural, Ohio-made, no junk. And yeah... it's actually really good. My wife and I went for Sunday lunch. I got the grilled chicken sandwich with the sweet potato fries. My sandwich came and it wasn't a whole grilled chicken breast. It was a thin slice of a chicken breast and frankly there wasn't much to it. The tomato and lettuce were fresh and the buffalo sauce was very good... not too spicy and flavorful. The fries were perfect. About 1/2 way through lunch the thumping started. Deep base from a workout class happening at the fitness place upstairs. It was crazy. I think if I pay $15 for a grilled chicken sandwich I should get the whole chicken breast, not a portion of it and not have to participate in the workout session. read more

Service was very slow an hour and half to be exact place was not busy at all. Ordered the fried pickles they were just ok, but for $11 there should have been more and we had to ask for plates and silverware. The food finally comes out and I ordered the smash burger which was pretty good but when I asked for a knife to cut it, I was told i would have to wait 10 minutes they were all in the dishwasher -this was 2:00 in the afternoon. A very-local restaurant joint with a small, American-style menu that satisfied everybody at our table. Good food, good noise level, very few complaints made for a solid experience. This is located in Grove City's downtown, but parking is pretty easy. There's a public parking (free) lot right around the corner across from the Safety office, and there's street parking too. You're looking at low-stress parking at less than a 3-block walk as long as there isn't a festival going on. We'll be back! PROS: -The day we came in, one of the owners introduced herself and said she was going to be our server that day. She was waiting tables that day, and her husband was out back helping build the patio. That's what I call a small business with owners that care. -Happy hour prices are especially great. I'm looking forward to a happy hour experience with them. -High-top and low top tables. Both have chairs without arms. They have a lot more hightop tables (especially for larger groups), but there are some low-top tables. There are stairs at the front door to access the restaurant itself. -French fries were delicious. Pretzel bites had a small portion, but they were really tasty too and not overly salted. My tablemate LOVED their chicken tenders; they were definitely home-made. Great ranch dressing too. CONS: -Portion sizes are a little small. Food costs match it, though, so you'll come away with a cheaper bill than most of Cbus - but you might still want a snack when you get home. -Beer was pretty light on local options, and most of the local were IPA. They have more-than-average of your national brands, though, from Yuengling to Bud Light to Modelos to High Noons. I was definitely expecting more local Columbus-area beers though for the "Pints" part of the name. -Interior decor is very functional, but it doesn't have much of a "vibe" to it. If you told me to describe a restaurant, it'd be an interior that could match virtually any restaurant you imagine. This is a cute little restaurant right on Broadway; we passed it to go to Blu-Willy's but they were too busy. We headed back their way and we were seated immediately by a very nice young man. He was helpful and friendly and attentive during our visit. This isn't a huge restaurant, but it's cozy and very well lit with a full bar. My hubby ordered a cheeseburger with fries and I ordered a turkey club with a salad. We also ordered mozzarella cheese triangles. All of the food was amazing! We enjoyed every bite. My turkey club had all the regular items on it, but they even threw some ham on there which was very tasty. My hubby said that was the best burger he's had in quite awhile. Their fries were delicious too; they were crunchy and very seasoned. We will definitely be coming back here for a visit to try other menu items! read more

This was my first time coming here and unfortunately it will also be my last. I used call-ahead seating and, when we arrived, the restaurant was busy which we expected. However, there were three hosts standing about two feet away from us having a conversation and we were not acknowledged for a solid five minutes while we stood there waiting. Once we did get acknowledged, the women at the host stand were not friendly at all. When I finally told them we had called ahead, I was told the only option was to sit at the bar or outside only. If we wanted a table inside, we would be b bumped to the end of the wait list which would be an hour and a half wait, which completely defeats the purpose of call-ahead seating. If that's the policy, it should be clearly explained when someone calls ahead that it is for outside or bar only. We would not have drove all the way there if we couldn't eat inside. The lack of acknowledgment and the confusing policy made for a very poor first impression. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and not somewhere I plan to ever return or would recommend to anyone. read more

We wanted to try this local restaurant for the first time. We started with the boneless chicken tenders and they were great. They were very lightly breaded and hot. We picked the sweet bbq sauce. We also had the turkey club sandwich which was also tasty. It came with a garlic aioli which was a little strong for my taste but it was still a great sandwich. I would order it again without the aioli on it. Our waitress was delightful and we will definitely come again. They were open when many other local businesses had closed for the evening. Just an ok spot. We read reviews and had our expectations higher than what it was. Food was mediocre. Hubby order a burger with sweet potato fries and they brought regular. Five of us had supper here Tuesday at 6:30 Appetizers of Pretzel bites were very tasty. My entree of the double smash burger and subbed a side salad for the fries was fantastic for the price. It is one of the few places open Monday nights in downtown Grove City. The decor is somewhat "light industrial". This is a trend with modern pubs. I'm okay with that, though I like a cozy sports pub vibe. I'm tired of the Stringtown Rd chain restaurants. I'm glad to have local choices in the Town Centre.
