I had called about a bubbler (water pipe) and necture collector in one to be blunt its a bong shaped as an egg and you get really fat rips off it and i love the water involvment when i smoke because its natures filter! any rate there definitely super sick! so down to brass tax Gavin didnt have to do any shitty sales gimmicks with me i was here to get the aleaf platinum tree perc in BLUE!! so sick aleaf glass is so pretty just way to fragile! that being said Gavin gave me a discount for homie hook up buy also because there were only 2 quarts nails and not a ceramic in the box. I was very satisfied with the price as they were like more then half then what was on the Aleaf's website and like 25 dollars compared to the shitty smoke shop by my house in Folsom... that being said longer story short it broke when I got it out at my house i was pissed! It looked fine in the smoke depot maybe I hit a horrible California but still even then that glass should hold up. I went in as soon as I could the next day and lovely gal running the cash register her name was Nicole I think anyway she was super polite and 15 minutes of bs back and forth and calling Gavin and Gavin getting all pissy for some reason telling me off pretty much light weight he's like- NO I TOLD YOU the old smoke shop credo you break it you buy it and all sales are final..! The store had one option, and I politely said we'd skip it and use one I already have, one I personally use and love. Instead of accepting that, the staff member started making snide comments like, "Oh, if you want that cheap one..." and "You might not get a good high with that bad one..." over and over, even after I explained why I was choosing it. Let's be clear: I was still buying several cartridges and edibles. It's not like I was walking out empty handed. I just didn't appreciate being low key judged over a battery choice I know would work best for my mom. If we hadn't driven 30 minutes on my mom's birthday to check this place out, I honestly would have walked out without buying anything. Her comments soured the whole experience. Suggestion? Train your staff to read the room. Educate? Sure. Recommend? Absolutely. But repeatedly calling someone's preference "cheap" after they've already made their choice? That's not it. Everyone shops differently, and no one wants to be shamed at the register. Cute store, fun branding, and good products. But the vibe from your staff matters just as much and hers completely ruined this experience for me.
