The food was unique and absolutely delicious! The menu had so many options, and we plan on coming back again and again! The staff was excellent and well prepared to help us in every way. Service was prompt to assist us and the staff anticipated our needs as the meal progressed. I ordered the fajita salad and loved it. Portion sizes were gigantic and the food was delicious! We ordered Brody's Molcajete Supreme and some beef fajitas to go fairly late. The entrance was weird and dark and difficult to get to, so that could be improved. The food, though, was excellent. We went to Brody's based on the amount of great reviews on here and how close it was to our hotel. It's a strip mall restaurant and quite popular in Cedar City. We didn't have to wait long for a table and the staff was very friendly and apologized for the wait. Our server was great and once again apologized for the wait, although we didn't find it inconveniencing. We ordered street tacos, taquitas, and a carnita asada burrito. The food was ok, nothing special and the portions were generous. We were actually very pleased with the service and location but not real impressed with the food. It was good, but not great. They don't have a liquor license so no margaritas, but you can get wine and beer. Typical strip mall ambiance, lots of paintings of Mexican culture and some local landmarks as well. The feature painting is the local LDS temple. It was a nice experience but no need for us to go back. read more

Food was amazing and portions are great for the price! The waitress was super nice and helpful with any questions we had. The food came out super quick and everything was cooked to perfection. Inside is super nice and cleanly. Kinda seemed like we were ignored towards the end of the meal. Our waitress stopped coming back to the table and We waited for a check for quite a while. There is no order on being seated and some customers got mad bc people were being seated before them. There menu is huge and that's a red flag for me. Wow... what an experience. Not only did we receive mediocre service (I never got the lime I requested for my modelo and no birthday sombrero). But after we made it back to our house we got a call saying one person in our party didn't pay, even tho we all did.. They hung up on us and then blamed us which was wild. Once we showed up they were insanely hostile and we discovered they were the ones in the wrong yet we still couldn't leave(who knows why). Cherry on the top: someone next to us ALSO got charged for an extra meal lol After we informed them that they should probably be sure before they have us drive all the way back, one of the servers (Vanessa), started yelling at my friend and followed her out of the restaurant. This was not only extremely unprofessional but also extremely uncomfortable. Personally if I was the owner, I would be ashamed to hear about the horrible quality of service. The staff at Brody's was very hospitable to our large group which is always appreciated because it can be hard when we need 9+ different checks for the group and we have kids sitting separate from the parents. We have been out to eat at many places with this group and it's not always handled well like it was at Brody's. We had a lot of requests and the entire restaurant was full but our waitress and the manager still managed to deal with us! This restaurant has a warm, family feel to it. The rice and beans that came with our dishes were delicious. The Carne Asada and Shrimp and the Chile Verde were both tasty choices, but I was disappointed that the Chile Verde didn't come with large chunks of pork. I have eaten here at least 10 times over the last 3 years. My wife and I will drive 35 miles to go here. The food is the best Mexican food in the entire St George area. The chips and salsa are great. The portion size is excellent. The food is always fresh and delivered promptly. The prices are very reasonable. 12 bucks a plate. I can't say enough good things about Brody's. Outstanding! Such a nice authentic style atmosphere when you walk in! We were greeted promptly by the the nicest lady ever! If you're going to charge for chips and salsa (which is absolutely insane for a sit down Mexican restaurant) you'd at least hope that the food and service would be good. Unfortunately, this place strikes out on those too. This restaurant also has a tendency to overcharge and add items onto your bill that you never ordered. If you're going to eat here, be diligent in checking your bill and prepare to be underwhelmed with the food. The food tasted good-- only "problem" was that the description of our burrito was wrong on the menu... ordered chili Colorado but expected a jalapeño tomatillo sauce as described (even though I know that's not the normal way it's made, but thought maybe...). Came in for dinner, ordered a beer right off the start and quickly it came out. The beer was ice cold which seems rare to find these days, but not here, it was exactly how it should be. The waiter was super helpful in explaining a few things and answering the questions. I told him to add the spicy sauce. He asked me how spicy with a bit of worry on his face and I said the hottest you have which he seemed more worried. None the less he delivered and it had some heat but not too what I'm accustomed too. The burrito was really good, the flavors were perfect and on point and the it was more than I could finish so I had to take the rest back to hotel for later. The chips and salsa that came out were fresh and super good and something the entire family would enjoy. Waiter always stopped by to check in and make sure I had everything I needed. Food and service were excellent as a first time customer. If I was local here, I definitely would stop in more to try more of the menus items which there was a ton of selections I would add to my list. Honestly I wish I could hit up Brody's every time I come back to Cedar! They always have great service first of all, everyone is great to deal with and very friendly and helpful. Also the redesign looks so nice, definitely needed the extra space and the mural of the cedar temple is great. But most importantly is the food. I've had several good dishes at Brody's. However, the greatest dish and something I crave all the time is the Molcajete! (Plus it's just fun to order the mole-ka-heh-tay). It's basically a greasy, served piping hot, bowl of delicious meats and vegetables like onions, bell peppers and zucchini and some jalepenos. It's amazing! Then you take it out of the giant stone bowl and use the fresh flour tortillas as the delivery method and YUM! It's definitely not for the faint of heart, it's a dish to share with someone and then you will still probably have leftovers. I do remember having a very good chimichanga here once, so if you're feeling a bit peckish you could opt for that. But You can't go wrong with anything from the menu I'm sure if it! read more

We got here at 7:58 after the longest day of hiking and driving, thinking it closed at 9. We were seated and a server promptly took care of us .. and then we realized the restaurant closed at 8!! They didn't make a big deal and of course we offered to leave or just order take out but they insisted we were fine! We were so thankful. The chips were fresh and delicious and guac was good (needed a little salt but I think that's just my preference) but what stole the show was the obviously freshly made salsa. So good! Best restaurant I've been to on my Utah road trip so far. Food was delicious and authentic, atmosphere was relaxed even though the place was bustling and is clearly popular. I noticed that they run things very efficiently here - as soon as a party was gone, the table was bussed and reseated within less than 5 minutes every time.
