First time here. Have heard so much about this place. Came for a surprise Birthday party for my Wife. 13 in our group tonight. This is an old fashioned Steak House that we've all eaten at over the last 40 years. Building is a large log cabin with a large open room for dinning. Very classic. Located up the canyon from Cedar City. Service was like it use to be. Attentive and personal with a mix of older and younger staff. No issues here. For you western buffs there are mounted Deer, Bison and Moose along with old farm implements on the walls. A average Yelp rating of 4 stars is right on point. Food was good. Our group had steaks, salmon, shrimp, pasta and a few kids meals. It was all very good. Steaks were cooked as ordered. They've been doing this for a long time. We had a great time and enjoyed our time here. Place was busy and everyone seemed to enjoy this place. Would recommend to all. read more

I got the salmon, which was pretty good (4/5)! It was well seasoned; the lemon juice complimented it well! However, the baked sweet potato was the best part of the meal (4.5/5)! It also comes with a decent side salad and good sourdough bread, so you definitely get a lot of food! The service was great (4.5/5); they got us our food really quickly! Had high hopes for this place and some items were very good. Half sweet potato loaded very good.. salads good... coconut shrimp very good. The flat iron was ok and yes I know it's a tough meat the potato boats were the inedible so dry just potato bacon and dried out cheese. We could not eat them and they were an up charge. The bread pudding was bad took it home and they use the frozen la brea bread to make this not fresh. Seems like it's good place to eat just wish they wouldn't cut so many corners on high priced meals read more

We went here while on a camping trip in Cedar City. Though we had passed it a few times, we hadn't eaten there. We LOVED the ribs and shrimp scampi. Service was a little slow but everyone was very friendly. We will definitely go back when in town again! read more

We checked out Rusty's while in Utah and it was a good meal to end a great day. We started with their cheese curds which were super yummy! My sister and I both did a petite filet with a baked potato. The steak had great flavor! My friend got their ravioli with lobster bisque appetizer which he enjoyed. Atmosphere was definitely more chill and made us feel like we were in a ranch environment. Our server was great and super friendly. All in all, a good place for dinner! read more

My son is attending SUU and I went to visit him and he wanted to go out to eat BBQ. I found Rusty's on Yelp and the reviews were all great. We had the brisket platter with a sweet potato & roasted vegetables, it was great, the meat was very tender & flavorful. We will definitely be going back on my next visit. On our current Utah trip, the 4th this year, we dined at Rusty's Steakhouse. When I called to make a reservation the personnel was friendly and we quickly booked our table. It was our first time at Rusty's. When we arrived we were seated within a 3-4 minutes. We were almost immediately served ice water and fresh warm sourdough bread with butter. Nothing was a disappointment at Rusty's. The burger our son ordered, on a ciabatta bun was delicious, and came with all the trimmings. My husband's filet mignon was delicious too(I tried a bite) and 100% melted in the mouth. I ordered the combination barbecue platter and am looking forward to finishing our to go boxes. The sweet potato came with butter & cinnamon- no added sugar! It was perfect. My husband's highest compliment was that it would be a wonderful place to bring business associates. A hidden gem in Cedar City Utah..! Who would have thought..! Had a very nice group dinner on a recent Friday night. Despite the size of our party service was polite and efficient. We ordered a couple of appetizers which were gigantic. For my entree I ordered a Flat Iron Steak. Simply cooked with sautéed onions on top. Very tasty indeed. After a long day of hiking in the Grand Canyon North Rim, we were starving and came across this restaurant right off of the highway. They were closing in about 25 minutes, but seated us, brought water, delicious warm bread. Sierra was our wonderful server, and she was great! We never felt rushed. The restaurant itself is large, clean, and had a cool casual rustic atmosphere. I loved it He ordered a Ribeye medium rare with baked potato & and I ordered the petite filet medium rare with a baked potato. ...and WOW! Both of our steaks were incredible..cooked to absolute perfection, juicy, and seasoned so well. The baked potatoes and veggies were cooked well too! What a meal! Made our way to the Ranch house on a Friday night. Got there when opened. Promptly greated and seating. We Enjoyed stakes with all the fixin's included. Nice baked potato. Ron met at the host station gave me a full review of specials and how long the restaurant had been in business sold Me on his coconut shrimp appetizer it was great large shrimp cooked golden with cocktail sauce Noel my server was attentive and made a great selection of the ribeye steak cooked well slight seasoning with butter pat on top.i choose a baked potato it was hot no salt which was great and it was served with hot bread and the house salad was huge the glass of wine set the meal off along for a guest a chorus of happy birthday overall a wonderful experience I recommend a visit you won't be disappointed my best review yet thank you rustys read more

We made a reservation for our Valentine's DinnerWe we're spending the night in Cedar City on our way to Deer Valley skiingWe couldn't have had a nicer evening. The Food is Amazing. And such generous portions. And we loved that they had a little Buckaroos and Old Timers menu. It is lucky a couple of us ordered off that menu. Way way more food than you can eat. Everything on the menu comes with Salad, Vegetables and a Potato dish of your choice. Believe it or not this far from the ocean the Coconut Shrimp is ridiculous and the Ribs to die for. The service was great! Friendly and accommodating, from server to hostess and in between. The place is pleasant and clean. We had the flat iron steak and the ribeye. Sadly both meats were tough. I had the sweet potato and again I was disappointed because the regular potato comes whole but the sweet potato is only half, makes no sense. Wish the food had been as good as the service. read more

I loved the atmosphere of Rusty's as it has the feel of an old cabin in the woods. The staff was super friendly. Unfortunately, my steak meal just wasn't what I was HIGHLY recommended here for. (hence the three star rating) I'm willing to give this place a try. Again but I've never had a restaurant score my steak before cooking to give it a totally different texture and taste. I do recommend this place for the atmosphere & great employees but be cautious if you order a steak meal...you've been warned. read more

Rusty's interior is rustic log type with elk, bison and other taxidermies on the walls. The food was terrific, we enjoyed the brisket and catch of the day (fish). Our server was , very busy but also quite responsive to our needs. Highly recommend Rusty's! read more

There were about 10 Corvettes in the parking lot and we were worried there was going to be a long wait time. Ron the manager ended up making room and separating a table for us as we just drove in from SLC. We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The appetizers were perfectly portioned, the entrees were crafted with care, and our server, Breanna, was incredibly friendly, sweet, and skillful. A+ all around! Ambiance was fun, wine is dirt cheap, staff is somewhat friendly and food was so-so. We were starving on our way out of Bryce Canyon into Cedars City, and this was right along our path. Probably wouldn't stop again, but I wouldn't let that deter you from trying it once and seeing for yourself. read more

The salad came with a host of fresh ingredients including fried wonton strips and mandarin oranges. They put a very good amount pork on the salad. The pork was not only well seasoned and tasty, but was very tender as well. It offered a nice juiciness to it. I had the salad with a simple Asian soy based dressing. It was good. My friends enjoyed their food as well. The service at the counter was friendly and the employees had good senses of humor. There's plenty of parking and a good amount of inside seating.

It was a delicious pizza. The crust was very well made with a light crispiness and a good chew. The sauce offered a great balance between acidity and sweetness. The fennel sausage was good, but it was noticeably missing that great fennel flavor. It was very subtle and missing the actual fennel seeds in the sausage, that I am accustomed too. Overall, it was a great pizza and I would order it again. The arugula salad that I ordered was on point. It came with a generous amount of fresh arugula, shaved Parmesan cheese, sliced prosciutto, and a delicious house made lemon basil vinaigrette. All the flavors played well together. I liked that they did not over dress the salad, which allowed the other flavors to independently shine. I would certainly order this salad again. My friends ordered the Gorgonzola Salad, which was also great. They certainly did not hold back on the cheese and bacon. They also ordered a custom pie. They loved it. The service was quite welcoming and amiable. I liked the conversation and positive attitudes of the employees. They offer comfortable inside seating. This place is definitely worth the visit when one is in town.

The place was a little on the empty side but they had a pool table, beer pong, and they were playing football on all the screens. Our server Lex was super nice and friendly! The food was half off, mind you the prices were already super good, so score! Everything we got was amazing. The drinks were also delicious and we got to do a shotski. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more!
