This place was fantastic. The service was quick and friendly, and the drinks were perfect. The table-side guacamole was unforgettable. Our group of eight, consisting of four moms and four kids, each ordered something different and everyone loved their meals. The flavors and presentation were excellent, with everything tasting fresh--even the soup was outstanding. For a hotel restaurant, it exceeded expectations, and I would definitely return. It was a quite enjoyable environment.

I recently ate at Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant at 1575W.200N. in Cedar City, Utah. The taquitos were delicious--fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. Our server, Imelda, was extremely friendly and probably the best part of our experience. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. What really disappointed me, though, was discovering that they charge for soda refills. I had no idea until I got the bill and saw that my soda ended up costing around $8 with the refill charges added in. On top of that, there's also a service fee for using a credit or debit card, which wasn't mentioned beforehand. While the food and service were great, the unexpected fees took away from the overall experience. Just a heads-up--ask about drink refills and card fees before you order.

Service was good. Place was clean. Ordered our food and it came out super fast. It was good and the meat was really good too. Nothing funky. Great flavors.

Attached to the Ramada hotel makes this a very convenient place to grab some food before getting some sleep. I stopped by for lunch and was recommended the steak fajitas by the wait staff. It really was just ok. Looking at the picture, you'll see ripping hot cast iron skillet has an immense amount of bell peppers, and really not much else. I would guess it had 80% bell peppers, 15% steak, and 5% onions. (I thought there were zero onions, but eventually I found 2-4 slivers in there) I'm not too upset about the ratios, but what really killed the dish for me was how uncooked the peppers were. They basically tasted like they were steamed, tossed on a hot plate, then ran out. I would really suggest letting those onions and bell peppers really build some color and then toss the sliced steak on there. Takes a little more time, but way better tasting. The beans, rice, guac, sour cream, were great, and the tortillas were really a high point. I wouldn't say no to going again in the future, but I'll order something different, maybe the carnitas?

Passing through to Colorado. Great overall experience and meal. Hostess and waiter were attentive. Chips and salsa were brought to the table within 3-5 minutes even before ordering our drinks. Food was brought out in a timely manner. We ordered the tacos de pescados and beef enchiladas. And a fabulous Paloma Margarita. Thank you!

The atmosphere is cool, service was good but my Spanish isn't great, so communication with the server was hard, didn't get one of our plates right cause of it but it's ok. The prices are expensive. I really liked the Chips, Salsa and Beans to start off with.. loved my big horchata too but I wasn't pleased with the Shrimp A La Diabla. It wasn't authentic tasting.. very tomato saucy.. usually I've had it more spicy and flavorful.. it was full of mushrooms as well, almost all the plates have mushrooms in everything. The plates were huge tho, rice and beans were good, but the kids plates were very small and low quality. The burrito we had included shrimp, crab and chicken but it was really crabby and the sauce was a lot, made it soggy. The tortillas weren't the best, would be way better if they were homemade or fresh. I just wanted to have a good experience, which again, the place and service was good but the food was way overrated and pricey. I would not go back. We were kinda disappointed as this place was raved up by some locals. We are also from southern Cali where they have the best of the best Authentic Mexican food so maybe we are being hard critics.

Best Mexican in Cedar! Those who give this place less than 5 stars must be having a bad day. Glad we decided to give it try vs going to some of the regular spots in town. Friendly service, ambiance is spot on and food was delicious!! Cherry on top was the Michelada! CNt wait to come back next time we are in town.

Gaslighting over scrambled eggs was definitely not expected. About five minutes later, she brought out scrambled eggs on the side, which pretty much confirmed they hadn't been in the machaca in the first place. The rice was mushy, the machaca itself was basically mush, and there was so little meat we could barely find it. I was with a coworker, and she couldn't believe the waitress was seriously telling us there were eggs in a dish that clearly had none. Very disappointing food, and the way it was handled made the whole experience even worse.

This place serves up some of the freshest, most authentic Mexican grub I've had in southern Utah. We ordered a mix of their street tacos (the carne asada and al pastor are absolute standouts--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and topped with fresh cilantro, onions, and a squeeze of lime) along with their homemade horchata and a side of beans. We also enjoyed one of their daily specials, with a staff-recommended chia-lime and strawberry fresca, and everything was amazing. Everything was made to order, bursting with flavor, and surprisingly affordable for the quality. The staff was super friendly and quick, even during the dinner rush, and the casual vibe with outdoor seating made it perfect for unwinding with the kids. No frills, just great food that feels like a taste of home. If you're in Cedar City for skiing, hiking, or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here. We'll definitely be back--five stars all the way!

Friendly staff and plenty of tables to choose from in the 6pm hour of a June Saturday night. We…read moresat at a worn table in the back section and figured out what we wanted to order. I chose the Enchiladas Tricolor which was a good opportunity to try their mole, red and verde sauces on chicken, cheese & pork respectively. Comes with beans, rice & interestingly ... coleslaw. My husband chose the Burrito Asada but didn't want any pico de gallo. The waitress asked if he wanted the guacamole and the red sauce on the side to which he said "Sure". I think he's lucky the red sauce was on the side as he could only describe it as "weird, very strange, not good." I tried it and thought "thin vegetable soup ". The kitchen forgot to put the melted cheese on top so his burrito in the picture is very plain looking. He added the guacamole along with the beans and rice to each bite of the burrito and thought that added some flavor to it. The asada was just bland beef with no evidence of a marinade or spicing. My Tricolor Enchiladas plate had 3 enchiladas, beans, rice & coleslaw- & only half of those 6 items were tasty. I was intrigued by the coleslaw and liked it so I ate it all first. I ended up taking sone from my husband's plate to cleanse my palette after I finished eating my meal. It helped clear out the weird pork gravy taste that was the sole flavor of the chile verde. It was so different from other chile verdes I've eaten before. This one had no citrus notes that would normally come from having tomatillos in it. The pork did not improve my outlook. After my first bite I cut the enchilada open to see if the pork was fully cooked. It was pinkish but seemed cooked. It just had that partially raw pork flavor to it. The other 2 enchiladas were good (chicken with a slightly sweet mole sauce and the Classic Red with cheese). I think that same veggie tasting red sauce my husband encountered is their "Classic Red" sauce. The sour cream dollop on this enchilada kinda overtook the sauce so I didn't mind it - didn't miss tasting that sauce here. Sadly the last 2 components on my plate - beans & rice were really lacking. The beans seemed a bit salty but had little flavor despite that. The rice appeared to have no seasoning in it - very bland. Mixing the two together didn't improve either. Adding one of the 2 tasty salsas (red or green) that came to the table with the just slightly greasy chips did help the rice. I noticed a pool of oil/ grease accumulating behind the enchiladas (see picture). Not a good sign for flavor to me. The waitress said the restaurant has been around for 22 years and the booth we sat in showed it. My side of the booth seemed to raise me higher than normal above the table while my husband's side seated him at the proper height to the tabletop. My husband said his Strawberry Margarita was good and thought he could taste the tequila. I had a sip and wasn't sure if it was tequila or the triple sec in the background but thought it was a decent strawberry margarita as it was not overly sweet. I noticed the price on the menu $8.99 was not the price we were charged ($9.99) for his "house margarita ". All other pricing on our receipt matched the menu. Also on our receipt there was a Card Total and a lower Cash Total. We had already planned to pay cash. There's too many other Mexican restaurants in Cedar City to ever go back to La Casa DM.
