Downstairs is "the vault", which features sizes up to 14/16 with sales up to 40% (maybe more depending on the time of the year). The vault is sectioned by sizes. At the bottom of the stairs is a clearance size with the discount percentage for the entire room. I visited in early October 2024 and there were many discounted spring/summer styles, with a few sweaters and sweatpants options. There's a couch in the middle of the floor to take a break or for your children so you can shop uninterrupted. The fitting room is upstairs toward the back of the store. Enjoy cute trinkets near the check-out register, plus the cutest wrapping paper that can be purchased. Sarah, the buyer and manager I believe, was so sweet and helped me hide some gifts from my daughter after she identified things she wanted. It's woman-owned, minority-owned and has a woman's boutique right next door, 16 suitcases.

They had some cute children's bunting as we get closer to the winter months. They were having an "indoor sidewalk sale", with some of their items being up to 75% off--this included clothes, toys, books, and other items and knickknacks. They had some books and stuffed animals that complement the books, like the Little Blue Truck and Corduroy. I bought a cute little dress for the holidays for my daughter, as well as a lovely sweater for the upcoming season. Their children's stuff isn't cheap, but it's not unreasonable for an independent children's store. I was really thankful that I found a place that sells clothing for children--in this case, holiday wear in particular--that is machine washable, because oftentimes children's clothing is marked as dry clean only (whyyyy). There is street parking in this area which can be limited, but I think there's also a Metra stop half a block away from the store.

Even our bank couldn't explain why we had to get clearance to make a purchase at this merchant, so I just paid in cash to make my life easier. Anyway, Juana was awesome, and we got what we needed.

At NO point, did either the store owner or worker ever use the terms "thank you" or "sorry". The owner actually said to me, "I want to figure this out so I can just be done." They made it seem like it was my fault that this happened and it took almost 2 months to resolve. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. (Although the rich, white women who shop there may have a different experience -- see the groupon reviews for more discrimination.) The stuff the sell is nice, but overpriced. The clothes only go up to 12months and everything you buy from there smells like the overpriced donuts they sell next door. Go elsewhere where people are kind and appreciate your business.

I was able to buy two pairs of shoes (cloth for the boy and dress shoes for the girl), t and two pairs of tights for less than what I was being charged at that other store. The owner gave me a business card and I am sure that I will never shop anywhere else but here for Baptisms, Communions, Confirmations and other festive events. They have hundreds of dresses and suits for your kids festive needs. I'm a huge fan.

They also had a little library and even an art corner setup. There were so many fun little spaces for her to explore. Everything was very clean and the set up is executed well. As a parent I appreciate places like these especially on a rainy day or even in the winter. It also allows my daughter to explore new toys and then I have an idea of what she will like at home. Such a cute indoor play space for toddlers and little kids. We'll definitely be coming back soon and hopefully get to enjoy one of the many events they also host geared specifically to kiddos!

After seeing all the crazy amenities which were super cool with a ton of variety, I think the thing that surprised me the most is how up-to-date all of the equipment was and the variety of activities they had for people to enjoy. If you're looking for an all encompassing workout/work space, this is it! They have everything from full-size tennis courts, to a golf simulator-like set up,except you get to hit into an inflatable pillow! They also had plenty of Pickleball courts, and they offer so many different workout group classes.both a wet and dry, sauna, and tons of treadmills and free weights. I was also really impressed that they also had a physical training area. So think something that was my personal favorite and the best thing for Chicago Summers is a beautiful rooftop pool and lounge area. Not only did they have two outdoor pools (one for adults and one for kids) but they also have an indoor pool as well for winter as well as an indoor hot tub! They also had a common area workspace where people can come to take meetings and do their work from home gigs. You could practically move in here haha! As of right now, it is a $750 new membership fee as well as $295 a month, which is a pretty hefty chunk of change if you ask me considering most of the high rises around, have some kind of rooftop pool and workout area. It is cheaper if you join with a domestic partner or if you're between the ages of 16 and 29-see pic for current pricing. They also sometimes host social events which is super fun to meet everyone else in the club, but at the same time I think it is more of an investment in your future and your future health if you can afford it! I will not be joining at the moment, but hey-that could change anytime if I decide I should be on a health kick.

**UIC Swim Classes: A Budget-Friendly Option for Kids**…read more We enrolled in UIC Swim Classes for our 1.5-year-old and found it to be a solid, budget-friendly option. At $22 per session, the classes offer structured swim lessons at a more affordable rate compared to other local options. There is a chill vibe that works great for a 1st learner, but the level of rigor is lower than Goldfish so we switched there once we got off their wait list. Classes are sold in 5 week packages, and reschedules are not typically allowed. The class structure follows a set sequence of exercises. Instructors are friendly, but engagement is inconsistent. While they guide kids through various activities, the level of encouragement and feedback varies, with some instructors mentally checking out after providing initial directions. The UIC facility itself is quite nice - The water is comfortably warm and there are changing areas. Parking is available but paid for a few dollars. Note that your access is restricted to within 15 minutes of class time, so don't go too early. Though there are fewer opportunities for underwater practice and confidence-building dips, the parent/tot classes are primary about getting your kid comfortable in water. Overall, UIC Swim Classes deliver decent value for the price, though parents seeking a more intensive training that will get kids swimming faster may want to explore Goldfish.

Continuing into the back, there's a resting room with more kitchen space and a bathroom. Overall, I've taken my daughter here a few times already, and plan to return frequently. They have open play times, flexible payment options, and host awesome themed events. The owners are great about posting upcoming events and are great to talk with. She also lowered the AC temp to cool the space even more. It was 95 degrees outside this day. Clean up was included in the package. The space is nicely decorated. You can bring your own decorations and food. They ask that you do not hang anything on the walls. There is also a fridge in the space to keep things cool. I really recommend Tots Land. Not many people were there for the entire time. Many left at 2 hours or less. Three tips: wear socks. Sign the waiver. Park in the lot on Calendar. Street parking is two hours only.
