I'm sure time was an issue in setting up this display of beautiful dogs in need but DO NOT chastise dog lovers for trying to pet YOUR dogs that are in an OPEN enclosure. No one will ever negate you for bringing your own beautiful babies but for damn sure we're going to be pissed when you tell us not to pet dogs in an open enclosure at an adoption event. More importantly your rescue could be brought down in a split second by a litigious person who gets bit by an inviting OPEN corral of YOUR beautiful dogs. We in CO are used to very open dog lovers, but we are being populated by a different breed of humans; one person gets bit or forbid their child gets bit and your whole rescue could be brought down in a split second. If you ever need a pro-bono counsel to help you carry on your beautiful endeavours please respond to this review and I will find you one. He wasn't responding to anything we tried, mostly things we "learned" on YouTube. After a month we had to get a professional. In the first 10 minutes of a session with Ana we were astonished how incredibly well she read our dog. He was responding to her commands and already seemed to be understanding what he needed to do. She showed us many techniques which were improving his behavior every day. The best part was that she taught US as well as our puppy on the correct ways to interact with each other. We were able to built a respectful relationship with him. Months later now and he's the perfect pup! Responsive to our commands yet we have such a beautiful bond. We've also used her for boarding, and it's such a relief knowing my dogs are in great hands and still keeping up with their training while I'm away. Atlas is an all black German Shepherd who came into my life when I didn't even know I needed him. My mom (Lana) got her amazing baby Lucifer a short time before I got my Atlas. I fell in love with Lucifer and realized I needed a baby of my own. Michael and Jeanette brought Atlas into my life and just knew we would be a perfect match. Atlas is the most incredible dog, companion, and protector. I've never had a dog of my own and never thought I would but because of these amazing human beings I now have Atlas. He's changed my life and brought happiness back into my life. Michael and Jeannette not only perfectly matched me with Atlas but are always available to provide advice and guidance on what to do. Took my 6-year-old Aussie, Taco, here for her instinct test this past Sunday and it was such a fun,…read morememorable experience! Our appointment was at 10:15am, and while the website says the test is about 15 minutes, I expected it to run longer (you're working with animals, after all). We ended up being there until about 12:30pm, and honestly it was worth every minute. A few tips: -Definitely bring an SUV if you can, the last stretch of dirt road is steep, bumpy with potholes, and super dusty. -There are porta potties but no hand-washing station, so come prepared. -Shade is limited, so bring a hat, sunblock, and plenty of water. And wear boots you don't mind getting dusty! Now, about the trainers: anyone complaining about Paul really needs to get over themselves, lol. He's dry, sarcastic, and doesn't care about sugar-coating things- but he's good at what he does, and honestly I think he's hilarious. You're coming to a ranch to watch your dog tap into their primal instincts, not a spa retreat. It's gritty and authentic, exactly what you'd expect from someone teaching skills that working cowboys have relied on for generations. We started with Paul, then switched to Janna in a more private area since Taco was distracted by other dogs in the big pen. Once she had fewer distractions, she absolutely thrived! she went in three times total and passed her instinct test on her very first day! Janna was amazing with her. The way she spoke about dogs was so soft, thoughtful, and full of love. you can tell she really cares about each dog as an individual. Her patience and gentle approach made the whole experience feel special, and Taco clearly felt comfortable with her. And for anyone spreading misinformation about Janna's GoFundMe being a fraud: her facility in Malibu really did burn down in the fires. It's sad how quick people are to make assumptions without knowing the full story. Overall, Drummond Ranch was a fantastic experience. If you go in with realistic expectations, time runs differently here, it's dusty, hot, and not polished, you and your dog will have a blast. Taco sure did, and we'll definitely be back!

Well let me tell you, he was more awful than even the worst review! I tried to have a sense of humor about, but it was impossible. He yelled that my dog (a malinois mix) better not kill his sheep and shouldn't even be there. After my dog did really well (in fairness the handler who took the dogs into the ring was very nice), I said "see, he proved you wrong", the owner grunted "I wasn't watching". Just an all around unpleasant experience. I feel bad for the woman who takes the payments, she seemed embarrassed by his behavior.

I boarded her with him for about two months, and she came back like a completely different dog calm, obedient, and well-behaved. It was honestly the best investment I could've ever made. She's six years old now and still behaves amazingly thanks to the foundation he gave her. Gonzalo is also very flexible and always lets me board her when I'm out of town. Every time she's dropped off, she's well groomed and smells incredible unlike other places I've taken her. I highly recommend him!
