At first I wasn't convinced that we needed to hire a cat service. I found a kid down the block to feed the cats. My wife said no way was she having some sketchy pre-teen coming in-and-out of our house. We were away for almost two weeks. Each day we would receive an email with reports on each of our spoiled cats, along with photos. When we arrived home we found a detailed report card noting each daily visit. I'm not sure that the kid down the block would provide daily emails with photos, let along a report card. What can I say. Kimberly and Kendal won me over. FINALLY a great pet sitter who cares and has common sense Our 1st time away form our animals in several years, I was a bit concerned, but had no reason to be. I received daily update along with pictures every time they visited the house. After 5 days alone, my babies were happy and stress free when we arrived home. The dog was even at window the next morning waiting for Kimberly to show up The last trip, we boarded our dogs and it was a disaster! Her bed was completely soaked through with her urine, which tells me she was left unattended for long periods, in a kennel, alone. NEVER AGAIN. My friend found Fun Fur U almost a year ago and told us about them and we decided to give them a try. We couldn't be happier with their service!! Kimberly told us that she started the business because she had a dog with cancer who she didn't want to leave with just anyone. That was our thoughts exactly! When we first started, we had 4 dogs, one was diabetic so we were hesitant to leave him. Kimberly and her assistant, Marie, came over for two "meet and greets" to make sure they had our wacky routine down before we left for the weekend. Since our kids are so spoiled, we have Marie stay the night, and boy is it worth it! They send a text message with pictures at every feeding and every visit. One visit we got an awesome shot of our boy Moose, all decked out in silly hat and Hawaiian lei. (I'll try to post it here somehow.). Marie had no problems giving the insulin injections as she works with exotic animals in her regular job. We have since lost our diabetic dog and I feel that Marie and Kimberly grieved right along side with us. Our 3 remaining dogs and one cat are seniors and require extra care, we know they will get it when we're gone. Kimberly and Marie were super helpful just two weeks ago. My sister was expecting her first baby and I was ready to go at a moment's notice. Originally my husband was going to stay back and watch our Fur Babies, but we took a chance and asked if Marie was available to stay with only a few hours notice, and thankfully she was. We normally plan ahead, but when our plans changed, I was extremely grateful that they were able to accommodate us. When we are gone, we get text picture updates so we know everyone is doing well. We also get a nice log sheet when we return with all the info from their visits. Kimberly has accomodated our unique pet situation and is able to do teice a day feeding for us, which allows us to keep the kitties on their normal food schedule. They are also very good with animals. We have one cat who is very shy and does not easily trust people. Both Kimberly and her assistant are able to coax her out and play with her, which is a big badge of aporoval by us. We would highly recommend Fun Fur U to anyone for pet sitting needs. Kimberly takes such good care of our two dogs...a 12 year old lab mix and a 4 year old Shepard mix...she is terrific. We get a brief note via text daily, along with photos...and when we return home she has left us a full daily visit report with notes regarding the duration of each visit and interaction with our 'fur kids'. Her love for animals was evident from the day we all met her. She connected with both of the 'kids' and had two new buddies by the time we completed our initial interview.
