He spent about 2.5 hours with us and I think we tried at least six different pours. He based the tasting off of our interests and we tried things that he does not have available for purchase. I would definitely recommend. After, we bought a bottle and sat on the deck to enjoy the place. I forgot to take pictures because I was enjoying it so much!

First visit and had a great experience! We stopped in towards the end of the day, so it wasn't crowded. They have a nice tasting room, as well as a covered/enclosed patio and outdoor seating areas. They had live music the day we were there, but he was just finishing up when we sat down to taste. WINES: Tyler, owner & winemaker, poured for us and provided excellent details on his wines, the winery, and North Georgia winemaking in general. We spoke with him for quite some time, enjoying our shared tastings, and even getting to sample a couple barrel tastings of some upcoming reds. Tyler uses fruit from Georgia, as well as California, Washington, Texas, and more. He offers a wide variety of whites, reds, and dessert wines, including a couple varietals not commonly known to the everyday wine drinker. There are also wine cocktails and mocktails, should you desire something a little different. As I always say when it comes to wines, what I like/dislike may be different than you, so I suggest that you give them a try for yourselves. The quality of Accent's wines was the best we experienced on this trip to the North Georgia Wine Country, and the ambiance and service were fantastic! I highly recommend you check them out.

The woman helping us behind the counter was also a complete sweetheart and made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately... then I drank the wine. I don't know what a muscadine grape is, but I feel strongly that someone should have stopped this experiment years ago. Whoever first looked at a muscadine grape and thought, "Let's make wine out of that," owes the rest of us an apology. If you've ever wondered what it would taste like to drop a penny into a steel vat full of vinegar and then bottle the result... congratulations, you've already experienced muscadine wine. Maybe it's an acquired taste. Maybe I'm not sophisticated enough to appreciate it. Maybe Stockholm Syndrome eventually kicks in after your third glass. All I know is I've had wine in Napa, wine in Europe, wine from grocery stores, and wine poured from boxes... and I would choose every single one of them before another glass of muscadine. The property is beautiful. The people are lovely. The wine and I have irreconcilable differences.

We arrived right when they opened, and the first thing we noticed was how modern, open, and beautiful the main building is. The ambiance inside is warm and inviting, and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are absolutely breathtaking from every angle. The patio is huge -- two levels of seating with umbrellas -- plus another outdoor area and bar near the food truck. Honestly, we could have sat out there all day just soaking in the scenery. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. We had reservations in the dining room, which was elegant and refined, very much in line with the Roost Bistro's upscale atmosphere. The food, however, was just okay for us. My wife's seafood pasta was a bit bland, and my short rib was lukewarm and needed more seasoning. Not bad -- just not as impressive as the setting. We ordered additional wine in the beautiful open tasting room, which is separate from the dining tab. Our total came to $118. Even with the food being average, the wine, the views, and the overall experience were wonderful. Next time, we'll probably skip the dining room and opt for wine and the food truck instead -- enjoy the mountain backdrop and make a full afternoon of it. Roo Mountain is absolutely a place we'll be returning to.
