I contemplated on writing this review but I can't shake the way this technician made me feel. This incident happened on Friday, 4/17 and this was my experience. I had my screen repaired and had it done promptly. At first, I was satisfied when I picked up the phone until I got home and started charging my phone. I noticed my charger wasn't charging the phone up to regular speed. It would be at 4%, back down to 3%, then back up for 4%. Turned off my phone and back on, went to 1%. I put it on airplane mode to speed up and the charging level was stagnant. I felt something was off so I googled "does screen repair affect the charging port" and it does indeed state that it is a possibility even if the charging port and the screen are separate components. I called and stated my problem and he said to come back and would like to help. Sounds promising but I only went back only to be told that "the screen repair has nothing to do with the charging ports." I argued that he was the only person I handed the phone to and there was no charging issue prior to today's experience. I felt that it was the only logical explanation. It wasn't like I waited a week or even 24 hours to complain. The problem occurred THAT DAY. He even went as far to take my phone apart to show me how they are separate components but bro I am not an iPhone technician that knows parts and components to the phone. I handed you the phone because I am trusting you to repair the issue. To add to the problem, I even went to World Market after to scan something off my phone, and the cashier couldn't even scan the barcode off my new screen. So overall, whatever the technician did, it made my phone worse. I spent $150 just to have my phone broken and devalued. I didn't realize that they use different products than Apple and now I'm regretting at this point. I'm asking for a refund and he says he needs to charge me for $85 labor AND that he'll have to put my broken screen back on. Like WHY would I spend $85 for you to put my broken screen back on. The price for the negative outcome is not reasonable. I got really upset and he goes "chill chill... this is crazy.... You're really going to cry over a phone?" This hurt me because I am just expressing my frustration and he is turning it around on me to make it seem like I am overreacting. He was so condescending. He would even plug my phone "see it's charging!" trying to gaslight me into thinking I said over on the phone that the charging wasn't working. I never said the charging was the issue. It was how slow it was charging and the logic points out that it may been his technique that interfered with the port. He refuses to listen to me and talked over my words. Absolutely no accountability nor any care to work with me. Could hear him mumbling "mentirosa" and talking crap in Spanish to his manager or whoever he was on the phone with. I went here to get my iPhone's cracked screen repaired. Was given an option between LCD and OLED (supposedly better quality), the guy gave me OLED for the price of LCD. I was happy and it was fixed within 30mins. Awesome. Except the fun ended there. The quality was so bad, my phone had touch issues, crashed, overheated. 30 day warranty so I wasn't too worried. I went back after a few days to get it taken care of, it's a different guy. He said I was given LCD. I showed him the receipt, "OLED" was written there. He said no way I could've gotten it for that price. So either a) the first guy fooled me or b) the supposed "better" quality is still very bad quality I lost my trust and had no choice but to go to Apple which I should've done in the first place. Poor work and poor service. I took my phone there bc of a simple cracked screen and later that evening the screen kept going black. It wouldn't stay on for longer than 5min if it was in use. The next day i asked for my money back and he said they didnt give refunds and he acted like him fixing it again was doing me a favor! After arguing for a few minutes, i realized I had no choice so i let him fix it... later that day the battery kept draining, phone was overheating and it would take hours to get more than 10% battery. Scam shop/ selling FAKE BATTERIES. Manager is there "saturday from 10-noon". and wont return calls. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! LIARS AND THIEVES I went here for a back glass replacement for my IPhone 12 Pro Max. Not even 24hrs after fixing my back screen the camera was not focusing at all. Leaving blurry pictures. And guess what? THE BACK BROKE! I've had my phone for 2yrs and never got anything replaced. The next day I brought my phone back to them and when I arrived David said he would look at the phone and fix it. After giving them more than 3hrs to fix my phone these idiots thought they were going to get away with cheating me. They thought they could steal my original parts and replace them with some fake parts. They also broke my Face ID through out the process. This is the worse place ever and when I went to ask for a refund I was told to speak with the manager the next day. Get your phone fixed else where. I dropped my phone the other day; turns out it was one time too many. I was having multiple problems with some of the buttons not working and not being able to change apps to different screens. It was also affecting apps like YouTube. I wasn't even able to make comments, which is my life lol. Well, after Reddit. Anyway, I work at the market and always see people going to the booth. I decided to take my phone and see what he can do. I told him my problem and he was cool and gave me a discount because I work at the market. He fixed my phone in less than 20 minutes and it's good as new! It actually fixed a lot of problems, besides the ones I mentioned. What a HORRIBLE, lazy, deceiving place, I gave my Ipad 2 weeks ago, they said they would call me but it would be done in 3 days. Not only did 3 days go by but no one called me. I was told "yes, bring it in" I asked again... if I can have it today and was told "yes". I show up within the hour. Same guy tells me he can't do it same day because he has to order the battery. He lied to me to get me there so I can leave the iPad. I confronted him about it and didn't have anything to say but "sorry". We found this place after leaving a different phone store called iCarryAll, after three times iCarryAll couldn't do a simple battery repair correctly and messed up the phone and refused to stand behind their work. In the last two years, I've never cracked my phone screen. Until about three weeks ago, when I dropped my Iphone XR at exactly the wrong angle, and it cracked. This was annoying, but not the end of the world, especially since the phone continued to work fine. Still, I thought I'd better get it repaired sooner rather than later, just to air on the side of caution. I brought the phone to Broken We Can Fix It at The Grove. They charged me $149 to replace the screen (which in retrospect, seems pretty high, but I don't know enough about the market to say). I walked off, came back 20 minutes later, and the screen was fixed. I was in a rush and didn't check the phone until later, but it was immediately clear to me that the color of the screen was somehow off, like paler or less vibrant. I checked my settings to make sure they hadn't accidentally gotten changed; all of the color/display settings were as I'd left them. I don't do much visual work on my phone, so this color thing was weird, but not a crisis, and I didn't have time to return to the stand. Two days later, I was tapping on my phone and noticed a small crack in the corner. I didn't drop it, or do anything particularly careless with the phone. Again, in two years, I'd only cracked it once. Yet mere days after going to this stand, the phone was cracked again. I was out of town, though, and couldn't go back to discuss this issue with the employees until today. Today, I went to the stand, and explained the problem. I asked them if they could please fix the screen, and they said they could, but it would cost me. I expressed that this was a flaw in their repair, not in my handling of the phone. The employee offered to do a second repair for $100. I asked if there was some kind of warranty on the repair (a question I should've asked the first time around). He said no, and that there was nothing else he could do about it. This was such a weird, scammy interaction. Anyways, I won't be going back to this storefront, and I suggest you avoid them too. My iPhone X had a slight fracture on the front and back of the glass casing. I didn't want the issue to get worse and did not want to buy a new phone so I took it to "Broken We Can Fix It" at the Grove. The phone had NO technical issues at the time, just the glass fracture. The gentleman at "Broken We Can Fix It" who evaluated the phone said it was an easy fix. All I needed to do is pay for the glass case to be replaced. He said I did not even need to replace the back glass. Still I opted to replace the back glass as well since I wanted to be extra sure the phone would be FULLY FIXED with no further issues. After an hour wait (which I did not mind waiting for the repair) the glass appeared replaced and I paid $230 dollars for the repair. This is not a small amount of money for the repair, but I was happy because I thought I would not need to buy a brand new phone. They employee seemed nice and like he wanted to help. I appreciated his attitude at the time. Once I took the phone home I started noticing a delay or freezing when I would touch the screen. The issue became worse and worse over time to the point where I could no longer answer calls or even put in my password. This issue made the phone totally unusable since I could not get into the phone and it was frozen most of the day. I went back to Broken We Can Fix It at the Grove and told a different employee the issue. He took the phone apart to look at it. He said he could not figure out the problem. At first he insisted it could not be a software issue and had to be a hardware issue. Once he was unable to fix it, he told me it's a software issue. Again, my phone had no issues with the touch screen or freezing before they replaced the glass ONLY after. Then he told me to take the phone home and back it up/restore it to factory settings and bring it back to them so they could look at it again. I took the phone home and restored it to factory settings. The same issue remained. The screen was unresponsive to touch and would freeze. I took it back to "Broken We Can Fix It" again. The gentleman who was there told me he could not fix it and told me to take it to the Apple Store because it must be their problem. My phone was not working for an extended period of time so I decided I would have to buy a new phone to replace my iPhone X. When I went to the Apple store they told me it had virtually no trade in value (only $68) because the touch screen was having issues. They said they believed "Broken We Can Fix It" damaged the "touch sensor" when they repaired the glass. They told me to take it back to "Broken We Can Fix It" and ask them to actually fix the phone. Unfortunately, "Broken We Can Fix It" did not fix my phone and just blamed another business for an issue that they created. They did not offer me a refund and sent me home with no solution. So in the end I paid "Broken We Can Fix It" $230 dollars for a phone that no longer works because they damaged the device while replacing the glass. They did not offer me any refund for my trouble and just blamed the Apple Store. Then on top of it I had to buy a new iPhone for $900+. "Broken We Can Fix It" does not guarantee their repairs, you will pay a lot of money for no solution, and that will leave you without a phone. I do not recommend them and will never, ever take another phone there again. Again, the employees seemed nice and seemed to be trying hard to fix the problem, but clearly did not know how to fix the problem. read more

I'm a very patient and non confrontational person, but I couldn't believe what I experienced. I wanted to save money as I was trying to have my iPhone 14 housing fixed. Shortly after I paid ($330 altogether) and my phone looked brand new, my phone keeps restarting. They said they needed to order a new "part," so I kept driving back for several days promising me that they'll fix it. (I live an hour away, by the way.) I couldn't wait any longer as I needed my phone for work, so I decided to go to Apple instead. Apple found SO many problems instantly (see attached pictures). I go back to ask for a refund and we can do an even exchange: I give them back their part and I have my phone returned to how it originally was. The worker by the name of Ari refused, told me "Apple just doesn't want to do the fix. This is a real iPhone. You shouldn't have told them you went here. Now they're creating problems because you told them." And then proceeds to shut me down, told me to go to my phone carrier (Verizon) instead to trade it in for a new one (Huh??). Ari said "Don't tell them you came here. Just ask to trade in the phone. They won't even notice. Don't tell them anything." I WISH I RECORDED THIS CONVERSATION. Before I even said a word in Verizon, the worker INSTANTLY said the same things Apple said. IT WASN'T A REAL iPHONE I'm in tears. I ran back to Apple to switch out the phone, which costed me an extra $600. I'm out $930. Now all of a sudden Ari refuses to give me my refund because "You gave away our part. Why do you want a refund?" when I was literally asking them to take their part back BEFORE I traded it in. Again, I'm usually defenseless, but this whole situation brought out the aggressive side of me. Do not go here. I had my battery replaced here for ~$100 a month ago. The battery unit was fault - phone would go from 50% to dead out of now where. Bad batteries happen. I got it replaced again and once I get the phone back FaceID stops working. I go home to try and restore the OS and see if that fixes the problem. It didn't. I called to see what could be done as FaceID was working just before I dropped it off. Excuses were made for what is clearly a mistake or damage done during this latest repair and they've told me I am out of luck with my now non-functioning FaceID. The battery is also loose in my phone. I can hear it rattling around inside. Spend your money elsewhere. Do not go here. read more

I really loved this place! The guy working there seems super trustworthy, but even more than that, he fixed my wife's iPhone 6Plus, that had a broken screen with a bent top right corner that the Apple store in The Grove flat out said they cannot fix it. This guy only charged $75 - on top of which, he said if he couldn't fix it, it would be no charge! Doesn't get better than that! But he did fix it! The new screen is not connected to the phone in the top right corner, so it's not "good as new", but considering the extent of the damage, this is more than we could have hoped for. Because the phone itself is bent, but it works well enough for the touch screen to work, the phone charges, and it can be backed up via iTunes. He even cleaned the speaker on the bottom and replaced the speaker meh on the top. We know we need a new phone, but this place allowed us to transition out of the old one without losing valuable data, which is figuratively a life-saver. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I'll return for any future iPhone repairs. read more
