This guy pulled it apart and found the culprit in a few minutes while I sat there and was super nice, was out the door in under an hour- phone operating for 80 bucks - apple said 700 (replacement), another local retailer quoted 175 (with unnecessary add on's). ...Decided to get a third opinion after having apple refuse to even look at my 1200 dollar iPhone because it showed signs of water damage. They would only offer replacement (why am I loyal to Apple?!!) The second place I took it to diagnosed the issue but told me the power button would also need to be replaced (doubling the bill). read more

Absolutely do not recommend this place. They did not correctly install my new iPhone screen, which resulted in hypersensitivity to touch. One could see the screen was misaligned after their install. They tried to blame it on my phone (which is ludicrous because aside from a cracked screen, it did not have issues of constantly beeping as if I was dialing when talking on the phone), and outright refused to accept responsibility for their incorrect install. They claimed that they checked the install before giving it back to me, but when pressed for what this process entails, they could not give me a sensible answer. They incentivize people to leave reviews by offering discounts. The negative reviews here are the accurate ones. Buyer beware. read more

Be careful. They replaced my screen and didn't install in correctly. The home button is loose and the touchscreen isn't accurate. You click on one part of the screen and it registers it on another area of the screen. My reccomendation would be to take it to Apple so that it's done correctly. They only offer a 30 day warranty instead of the standard 90 day that other repair stores and Apple offer. I tried to save a few bucks, but now I'll have to spend more to get it fixed correctly. The guys in the shop were very nice, but I guess their skill lacked. read more

Fast, affordable, friendly. It's a small retail space, they have some accessories is you're interested but the guy seems to know phones and electronics pretty well. Updated after six weeks: You get what you pay for. Not only is the screen darker than a genuine Apple screen, but now my phone is glitchy, the battery drains super fast and the home button doesn't always respond to my touch. When I brought it back and explained the issues I was having, I was told that a screen change has nothing to do with it. Wish I'd gone to Apple instead, now I just have to live with it or drop top dollar to have it fixed again. After dropping my iPhone 7 for the hundredth time, the screen so shattered I was afraid of cutting myself at the next swipe, I went on a search for screen replacement companies; my last experience at Apple was unpleasant, time consuming and expensive. The positive reviews drew my sent on, but their friendliness, efficiency and great price sealed the deal. They replaced my screen AND installed a new screen protector in under 30 minutes (I did it during my lunch break!) I type this review from my shiny new screen and couldn't be more pleased. Extremely disappointed with my experience at this place. I came in to get my screen repaired for my iphone 7 about a two weeks ago. During my initial visit, the person who helped had made a comment that the wires under my home button were strangely twisted and that he needed to "fix them". Regardless of what he was looking at, I previously never had any problems using my home button so I did not notice anything being wrong (except the cracked screen I came in for.) Once my screen is fixed and I walk out of the shop, I come to realize my home button is now super sensitive- to the point that I can not even navigate the phone properly. It starts clicking on its own at a rapid pace and interferes with everything-trying to switch between tabs, send messages, etc. Long sorry short, I come back to the shop 2 more times in the next few days to explain my issue. The first time, the guy cracks my screen yet again and says he's out of screens and I need to come the next day. (Mind you I'm driving up from Long Beach....). So I finally come in the next day AGAIN, for him to refix...and ultimately tell me that he can't do anything to fix the button- even though he was the one who ruined it in the first place! So now it's just something I have to put up with on a daily basis until, what?, I get a new iPhone again for $800? I really should have been offered a refund or I'm not sure what else they could have done. It is a daily nuisance and makes my iPhone extremely difficult to use. Super upset this happened. read more

I took my iPhone 5c for screen replacement and they gave it back to me with a loose home button, so the screen cracked around the button and now my screen is damaged again! It was in my camera bag when it cracked, because the button is so low, that glass around it is super easy to crack! Never even dropped the phone! What a waste of $65, Also, I wanted to price match, and they basically make it impossible for you to price match. They won't give you 10% appointment discount if you price match. read more

I brought LJ an iPhone 6 that had been barely immersed in water for one second and yet decided to take a giant shit on itself and just stop working. I came to LJ to hopelessly figure out a way to at least get the phone resurrected just enough to grab my data off of it. With great skill, he opened the phone up, cleaned up any corrosion, and switched out the front screen, digitizer, and battery, all of which were fried. My phone's screen lit up and I swear I almost wept. The total was about $170 if I remember correctly. Expensive, yes, but the data was important. He sent me home with a verbal disclaimer that you rarely walk away from water damage scot-free and that there was a possibility for long-term damage. Well he was right -- my bottom microphone wasn't working, and I wasn't willing to pay for that extra part. Barring that, the phone still works beautifully two months later. And by beautifully, I mean it works WAY past my expectations. I initially found LJ on Yelp and only because it was closest to my work. In hindsight, I'm glad I did; he truly is one of most knowledgeable people I've met regarding iPhones (and probably phone repair in general). I'll probably be coming to him regarding any iPhone issues in the future. read more

After two hours of extremely frustrating experiences in the Apple stores in Beverly Center and on Topanga Canyon I was happy to find this iPhone repair to change the dead battery of my iPhone 6. Apple wasn't able to do that, but creating one issue after the other and finally asking for my 'proof of purchase' because they (they!) had problems to retrieve my iCloud information. I used this place a year ago and it was ok so I thought I'd use it again. I went on Monday, 29th March for the scheduled time I had at 4:30 pm. I had booked this time online and I had stated that I have an iPhone 7 that needs fixing. When I got there the young man was polite but then told me that they had run out of parts for the iPhone 7 and that he waiting for someone else from the company to drop off the parts!! I asked when would the parts be dropped off and he didn't know. He did say hopefully soon and then it would take him 20-30 minutes to do it. So, I went to pick my kids up from school and came back an hour later. He also told me he would call me if it couldn't be fixed. He didn't call. When I came back at 5:30 pm he then told me the parts hadn't been delivered and so he hadn't fixed my phone and wouldn't know when he could fix it!! It was a total waste of time. This is a really unprofessional way to run a repair shop!!! I didn't want to blame the messenger and so I politely left and when I called the telephone number (which is an 818 number) it would just ring for ages and then go to an answering machine. So, I've given up on this place! It's a shame because the location is great for me to get to and they did an ok job before. read more

Absolutely awful place . They put a terrible replacement screen on my phone that looked cheap and didn't work properly . Had to replace it again but still wasn't working . I was in and out 5-6 times over the course of 3 months . The screen was falling off and I had lots technical issues with it . Every time I went in there was another excuse . "Oh that's normal " " oh no problem I'll fix that " Never was it fixed correctly . Eventually the screen fell off completely and the phone wouldn't work at all .I brought it back and they said there was nothing they could do unless I waited at least a week and they would call me ... CALL ME ??!! On what phone ?? It's broken because of your incompetence . I HAD TO BUY A NEW PHONE FROM IPHONE IN THE END !
