Went on a Sunday around 12. Can be a 45 min wait but every other day seems to be real quick! Our server was very kind and out going. The food overall was amazing. Our server Ruth was amazing and all of our food and drinks came out super quickly thanks to the kitchen staff and bartender! The Mimosa Flights here are a staple every time, I also got the Iced Caramel Messy Latte which was to die for. For food got the Classic Eggs Benedict with hash browns and my boyfriend got the Golden State Benedict. We also shared the Sweet Trio and it was all delicious! My honest review of the new Broken Yolk in Santee: This brand new brunch spot is beautifully decorated with staff that are excited and eager for the spot to be a success, which I think it will be in time. We arrived around 1pm and were seated in under 20 mins. Not bad for a Sunday! Drinks: We got the mimosa flights which consist of orange juice, pomegranate, lemon, and grapefruit juice with champagne. All were delicious and presented nicely in a tray which kept them cool. They were also around $12 which is a STEAL compared to other spots that charge the same price for one glass. Food: I got the Greek salad which I would 100% get again. It tasted so fresh and the dressing was so good I would buy it at the grocery store. We also got the berry salad which was also yummy. The chicken fried steak was amazing, super flavorful, with the consistency of the gravy being just right. The Buffalo wrap with sweet potato fries were just ok. Absolutely wonderful food and service today for brunch. Yes it was busy but it's January 1st 2025, so it's expected. Priscilla ran the counter with great precision. Miranda took our order and was diligent with my adaptation, was pleasant to chat to and great personality. Its nice to be offered glasses of water again. Overall this place is really good , unfortunately on my last visit the Chilaquiles were not up to par... I had the same item in Vegas at their broken yolk for the first time and it was delicious. For some reason the red sauce here is much closer to marinara sauce than to the usual sauce used for chilaquiles. Honestly if I found out that they accidentally put marinara on it I wouldn't be surprised cause this is not even close to the normal sauce.
