We had Lunch today at The Broncho Grill in Torrington, WY, population 6,000., enroute to Custer State Park, SD. Torrington was a stop on the Mormon Trail and incorporated in 1900. Great lunch spot. Impressed with everything we had. My Reuben sandwich was delicious, and fries were good. My wife liked her pot roast au jus, and my daughter liked her ham and cheese as well. Fries were fine. We might've gotten something else, but the $3 up charge for different sides seemed a bit excessive. Service was friendly and fine. Hi! I will never eat here again. I ordered a $10 burger; and, they charged me $1.56 for garnish without telling me. GARNISH! Then, I get a 10% senior discount BUT they only took it off my $4 salad bar (.40!) and not the entire bill! With 20% tip my bill should have been $15, but it came to over $18! I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but I don't like being ripped off - they lost my business for life - was it worth it to them?? Good riddance. read more

Stopped at Broncho Grill this last Monday for lunch as took the time to prospect in Torrington with a local realtor. At 11:15am it was wide open seating though not as big as seating area as last remembered from a 2015 visit. Am in Cheyenne WY with a multitude of options for burgers - some overrated, looking at you 5 Guys & others spot on like Culver's. Was interested to see how Broncho Grill matched up with so many positive reviews. Ordered a Blue Moon at $4 and chose the fries extra crispy as the side. The $15 burger chose was the Santa Fe featuring their half pound full not smashed which feel is overdone these days, yeah looking at you Freddy's Steakburgers. The green chili strips, bacon & chipotle compote were all outstanding components on the burger & highly recommend it as a choice if willing to eat a large lunch as you don't get cheated. The staff were friendly, talkative and the lunch crowd showed up by 11:30am as it became a lively place. I'd definitely go back to Bronchos Grill if in Torrington WY again and feel while it's value is solid for Cheyenne WY it's a bit high priced for the folks generally that live in Torrington WY trying to get by in service sector gigs and why not giving Bronchos Grill five stars. read more

It was our last day in Torrington and a friend recommended we try out one of his old stopping ground grills, The Broncho Grill House. As we walked into this small dinner type grill, I notices the special was call "Porky the Pig" so I had to ask the waitress what that special actually was... she offered her rendition of what the the meal entailed and I was entriged so I decided to try it out. It was an open face sandwich with a nice size portion of BBQ Pulled pork with Carolina Sauce on Ciabatta. The sauce was just right, little sweet and little spicy complementing the pulled pork. I drove by here to get gas in this town and I am glad I stopped by this bar to get food. I got the Philly cheese steak sandwich and man was that one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. The steak was thinly cut which I thought wouldn't be good but it was seasoned to perfection that I'm sure the thinly slices gave it more flavor. The bread was toasted at just the right temperature and also buttered up well. I'm not sure if it was a cheese bread of sorts but man that sandwich was amazing. Makes my mouth water just thinking about. Of course the bar is in a tiny town which seems like everyone knows each other but they were super friendly and kind. If I ever go near that town I am going to try other stuff just because of that sandwich. read more

We stopped in for dinner on a recent tip to hubby's home town. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The place was clean and had a mixture of young adults, in betweeners (my age group) and seniors. There were families, couples, and groups. It seemed to cater to everyone! Hubby ordered the surf and turf special and I had the chicken fried chicken. Although hubby's rib eye was a little under cooked, it was still pretty good. My chicken fried chicken was moist and breaded perfectly. The white gravy was thick and rich and full of flavor. I loved the little salad bar. The basic salad fixings were fresh and the ranch dressing was very tasty. My brother in law ordered the chicken fried steak which was huge! The fried ice cream he ordered to go looked fabulous. Very good meal! The burgers and sandwiches were great. The waitress recommended a nice Wyoming IPA to go along with my burger. The sweet potato fries were crispy and savory, just how we like them. Raspberry sauce on my burger was surprisingly delicious. The reason for awarding only four stars was the flies buzzing around us inside the restaurant. It's summer, so we expect a bug or two to bother us once in a while. The place was clean in appearance and all seemed prepared within health code standards. We just couldn't keep the flies from annoying us while eating. We're passing through, and we're not too enticed to stop by the next time. read more

Yummy! We had a really good lunch...a patty melt and a Broncho prime sandwich. Both were delicious. The patty melt was one of the best I've had. The burger patty was amazing! I realize it is a simple sandwich but I've learned that restaurants can actually screw it up. The prime sandwich was so good! Our waitress was great...very friendly and very attentive. Unexpected great find, in a little town! The lady at our hotel recommended it at check in, while I was searching Yelp for dinner options. It was a unanimous decision. Great sized Porterhouse steak, cooked to a perfect med rare, kids had burgers and they were good sized portions. Lastly the salad bar was a nice treat after being on the road for the last week! Well it has been awhile since I have given my thoughts about where I eat and what as well. The Bronco Grill is nicely done on the inside. The waiter was very nice. One thing that seemed a little odd was a 25 dollar steak came wonky with choice of poatato, mashed or French fries. Topping for your steak was extra, salad bar was3 dollars extra, this is going to rack up some cash. Well on the drink side beer was more like room temperature. One thing for sure you can not draw much flavor from a 1/4 inch thick steak. The corn must have been from yesterday's steam table. On a good note the fries are good .
