I also bought dog treats. They have a large variety of bird feeders and bird seed, some prepackaged and some in bins so you can serve yourself. The man who carried my purchase to the car told me a lot of people get baby chicks there in the spring. It's the kind of store where you go for one thing and find lots of other stuff you didn't know you needed.

He Did not apologize because I never got the amount I had paid for . He didn't care, just said that bags sometimes rips. He then called in the back for someone to bring back another bag. Again , the bag was sewn and this time missing a pound. . This time I didn't bother. They lost a customer and I will make sure I tell everyone about it. The owner is very arrogant

Don't jump on me, I'm allergic to dogs" and pushed the dog off me. Instead of apologizing for the poor manners of their dog, Sam said, "If you are allergic to dogs, you shouldn't be in here, there have been dogs all over." It's appalling that a dog being kept at a shop is not better trained so it doesn't jump on customers. A lot of customers won't appreciate being jumped on, even if they aren't allergic to dogs. If you are going to have a dog in a shop, it should be well enough trained to quietly greet customers and not to jump on them. An apology is certainly due to any customers who are jumped on, along with a verbal correction to the dog. Sam took the dog behind the counter and tethered it, but never issued any verbal corrections. This is not the first time Sam has been impolite to me, but I can assure it is the last. They had some treats I could have gotten, but after considering the treatment I received, I left and went to The Paddock. I will never go back to Reg & Wally's again and will recommend that my friends not give them their business. (For the record, having a dog jump on you is completely different than being in a room where dogs are or have been. Being jumped on gives direct exposure. Sam also commented later that the dog is doesn't cause allergies, since it is a Golden Retriever/Poodle mix. This is not accurate. Even Standard Poodles and other "hypoallergenic" breeds still have dander and saliva, the two main sources of dog allergens, they just don't spread it around as much since they don't shed. The mutts referred to as "Golden Doodles" are a toss up as to whether or not they will be hypoallergenic, since they often inherit coat characteristics from the Golden Retriever side. This dog appeared to have some of these coat characteristics.)

We finally stopped in at Wenninghoff's after two years of driving by and saying, "We should go…read morethere sometime." I'm glad we did! The market is packed with locally made and grown products. We picked up some sandwich pickles, local honey, and a massive seedless watermelon. Prices on some items were a little higher than expected, but given they're local, I didn't mind paying a bit extra--it feels good to support nearby farmers and makers. That said, there are a few things I'd probably skip. One thing to note: they add a $1 fee for card transactions, so if you want to avoid that, bring cash!

You run them ragged with missed items and hassles letting them know customers are on the way. Busy people rely on picking up pre-ordered items. Jessie is the manager still I think as of 11-23-24, and been there awhile so knows all answers, and is a nice young man. On most trips, there is at least one employee out ON THE FLOOR for you to track down and ask for assistance with something. They're happy to help and act like it, which is a real departure from many shopping experiences today in most stores. They have items you'd expect at a TSC and maybe more, but it's NOT Menards, Home Depot, etc with 240,000 square feet of store. This also means you can get in, get your stuff, and be on your way in no time. When in doubt they carry an item, SIMPLE, I just go to their nicely functional web site. Use proper search terms, and if that doesn't find it, just take a second and browse through the product types you would think your item might be in, and some times they got it, and your search term just didn't grab it. No biggie. You can always call them too and ask a human. They got em! :)
