When he is doing the procedure it is his art, from the way he holds the tools to how he uses a slightly chilled piece of cotton to test sensitivity to hot and cold. Dr. Lin just knows what he is doing. Even after the procedure, I took two ibproufin, but I really didn't even need anything. Dr. Lin is an artist, you would be a fool to go anywhere else.

Living in San Francisco, I had tried a few 4+ star dentists in SF who were recommended by my PPO insurance and Dr. Rhee takes the cake! He's very professional, friendly and approachable. Dr. Luo and his team have always treated me with the utmost respect and courtesy, and I really appreciate how accommodating they are when I call in for last-minute appointments - they always do their best to fit me in as soon as possible. During visits, they offer helpful advice and feedback whenever I ask, and I've always felt well-informed and cared for. I also enjoy the charm of the office; the little touches in the waiting room and the ample seating make it feel welcoming. While it can get pretty busy on weekends, my needs have always been met without issue. Parking's not a hassle either as there's metered parking conveniently located right outside the office. This is despite my being unemployed for most of 2024 and turning 65 at the end of August - yes, I am a "senior". On 9/16/24, I began a position with the State of CA where they offer a variety of dental plans. Since I need a considerable amount of work done - at least 10 implants, I was considering maintaining my current policy and signing up for a policy offered through the state. With open enrollment two weeks away, I wanted to ensure I chose a policy Dr. Luo's office accepted. I called their office multiple times. Each time I tried leaving a message, my message was cut off so that I could only say five words - very frustrating. I even called their office on Saturday as I recall their office is open on Saturday. When my calls were not returned, I sent a text message. Still no response. I should add that Dr. Luo's office had already fitted me with eight to 10 crowns. After insurance paid their max of $2K for the year I paid the remaining $10K in a lump sum check as i want to avoid making payments and se the at Dr. Luo is compensated for his work. When I still received no response, I went to their website and tried reaching out that way. Finally, five days after starting my new job, I called the office for the 20th time. I was told Dr. Luo had COVID and that the office was closed. I explained I started a new job and all I need to know is what type of dental insurance they accept. I recall from past conversations they accept Met Life. When I asked the woman if they accept Met Life she confirmed they did accept the insurance. However when I went into more details, she suddenly said, no we don't accept Met Life. I then asked about Delta Dental. She confirmed they accept Delta Dental but as I went into more specifics she then said, no we don't accept that insurance. Feeling totally frustrated, I told her I will give her the dental providers and she can let me know what plans they accept. She refused to work with me. I have since looked and there are other dentists in my area that are open Saturday. From my past observation(s) it is clear Dr. Luo's staff caters to Asian clients. I am disappointed in how I was treated and will not be returning. Suggestion. Next time Dr. Luo comes down with COVID, you should change your outgoing voicemail message to reflect this so patients are not kept waiting for days on end waiting for a return call. I need thousands of dollars in dental work - implants are my only option. I would have paid upfront but you lost me as a customer due to your substandard treatment of me.
