We gave Shauna every detail possible about my mother-in-law's condition and after checking a few other places, decided to take her for an evaluation to determine the care needed. We all agreed on level 3 care with Jennifer the head nurse. We moved her in after a week or so and my wife stayed for a couple of days to help her get used to her new environment. My mother-in-law is prone to falling and did so on her second night in the place. My wife pushed her emergency button on her arm. After about 20 mins my wife went to go see if someone could help. There was no one around to be found and it took over an hour and a half for someone to come check on her. By then my wife was already able to help her back to bed. It seems like the nurses did the bare minimum for my mother-in-law the whole time she was there. At Thanksgiving we decided to see if wanted to come stay the night with us and have dinner. We brought her home and realized during that entire two weeks there that they had not bathed her at all because, she smelled really bad and when asked why, we were given the excuse that there was a bandage on her arm. We decided to bring my mother-in-law home for good and put in notice to quit. when I went to get some of her things to bring home the nurses told me they were concerned about her wine drinking. I let them know that Shauna and Jennifer were made fully aware of my mother-in-law's condition, but I have the feeling they were just working on damage control. We are currently looking for legal advice on this situation. Please DO NOT bring your loved one to this place!! The sales pitch is amazing but, they absolutely do not do the things they say they do. The monthly cost for this care that we paid 2 months' worth on was $7,800.00 They need to get the people better help in this place for sure.

My wife and I live in the largest independent living apartment (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 1810 sq ft) and we require very little support so I can't comment on negative comments made about catered living, memory care or health care. We have not used any of these facilities. We continue to be critical of the food and service in the dining room during our one meal a day. While the food has improved somewhat since we moved in, many of the dishes are bland and boring and the dining room is perpetually short staffed. The young (teens and early 20s) servers work hard but there are not enough of them and they are by no measure professionals. The pay is not good enough for that. There is a curious difference in the food service options between different accommodations. Independent living arrangements not attached to the Gardens building are not required to have a food plan but they can pay by the meal if they choose. Gardens Building residents cannot drop the plan. At one time I explored trying to get out of the 1 meal a day plan but that option was not available. In reality, I don't want to cook 7 days a week even though I have a lovely kitchen. Everything I have said in prior reviews still applies. The dining room service still earns a C and the health inspection grade is just "Good" a value that has not changed since we got here.

Complaints among many employees flow like water from a dam that's burst, however, positive feedback is enforced with penalties if an employee doesn't post at least 3 a month. Residents and their families have voiced concerns over rising costs contrasted by less staff and longer wait times for assistance. The food served to the residents is dismal. At breakfast, the food is either burnt or gelatinous from sitting in a pan too long. Bistro food is good, aside from the stale desserts. The staff is poorly trained, language is a problem. my Heart shaped healing stone was stolen, medication, food was confused regularly. bugs were crawling on the ceiling above my bed. Male staff member came at night asking for jewelry. I was very afraid at night . Judson Park needs to be investigated and closed. They will kill someone, or cause a early death. I began the difficult process of researching memory care facilities. After touring many facilities, we found Aegis Living of Kent to be the best of the bunch. The staff is amazing, the flow of their facility is wonderful and their apartments are much nicer than any of the other properties I toured. They have have fun events for residents and their families, they have their own bus for group outings. Their secured outside grounds for residents is beautifully maintained (my mom loves to be outdoors when the weather is nice). I valued finding a facility that is fully focused on memory care, and not a hybrid property where you have both assisted living AND memory care and the staff rotate between both. At Aegis Living of Kent, the entire facility is focused on memory care, so the staff is experienced in this area. I highly recommend Aegis Living of Kent if you are seeking a memory care facility for a loved one.

There are not enough stars to rate the quality of the care I received, the cleanliness of the facility, the kindness of the staff and the dedication of the physical and occupational therapists. Food quality and variety of food offered was excellent with always the ability to make changes when something did not suit my palate. Residents (patients) are given an opportunity for daily participation in group exercises including strength training, games and informative Daily Bulletin which encourages socializing to aid the healing process. Additionally management has a monthly meeting with patients (residents) and is willing to hear concerns and suggestions. Is the facility perfect? no. Could they use more staff? yes Additional staff would decrease the time responding to patient (resident) call button requests. Call button system needs to be updated. Every day I was met with dedicated, professional nurses, aides, and support staff. I want to thank each and every one of them for helping to make a "broken" person " whole" again. I hope to never fall again, but if I do, a flight to Renton, Washington and Cedar River Healthcare Center would be my request. Thank you.

The first time we went to take a look at the facility we noticed it was so clean and bright, there were lots of friendly tenants and activities going on. The faculty was so cheery and helpful giving us a tour and a lunch that was actually quite good. My dad is walking and getting out of his room every day with other people to talk to and dine with.
