It's very much like a five star hotel. The rooms are very large and well appointed. It could easily accommodate a large gathering of ten or more (see photos). Everyone was so kind and helpful, fully understanding the pain and anxiety the family must be feeling. It was appreciated. False statements made by this team just to get you to sign the contract. Sr. Clinical caregiver has a false sense of her medical assessment abilities. I was told my loved one was doing well. I took her to the ER against their wishes. Yes, they gave me a hard time about taking her to the hospital. There she was diagnosed with a UTI, heart condition, Parkinson's, Dementia and Alzheimers! I had only been advised (by Brookdale) of her Dementia! In the Memory unit area they just park your loved one in a central area as they are under staffed and can not care for them if they are in their rooms. Hygiene is a concern for both staff and residents. My loved one had a closet full of clothes and shoes upon move in. Every time I visited she had someone else's clothes on. Her bedspread and sheets disappeared as well. This was important to me to make her surroundings as familiar as possible. Could not get in touch with admin team to address my concerns. Her shoes disappeared as well. She wore a size 9, and every time I visited she was wearing someone else's shoes in a much smaller size. Could not get them to have a doctor trim her toenails. Some of the staff is very rude, mostly in administration. Caregivers are as kind as they can be with the under staffed situation. Overall the place smells of urine. I witnessed a dining room staff member being very rude to a resident who requested pudding. He told her no! What? Do I dare go on?

The staff is exceptional and really takes good care of my mom. She is loved and is treated like family. My mom has dementia and is in a safe place and feels right at home. Was her mother also incarcerated? Is this the 5 star standard these days? Additionally, promotes themselves as if they have many residents when in fact presently there is only one who is being treated as an experiment for their program. References on their website to "testimonials" is ludicrous as even the guardian stated that there has only been one resident.

The transport was for 2x weekly leg treatments. Due to mobility issues, I can't get into high vehicles like mini vans SUVS, crossovers without struggling with a footstool. There were occasions when my assigned care giver wasn't available. Yet, they sent high vehicles on more than one occasion. They even sent a woman to my home with an allergy to cats. I have 3 cats. They canceled my services on a Fri knowing I had an appt on the following Mon. I found out I was discharged when i called to ask why my caregiver was late. I was left stranded with no way to get to my appt. My treatments had to be suspended until I could secure services elsewhere. I tried calling the RN that discharged me but to no avail. I've called and left messages and was told she wasn't in yet, not available at the time or would call me back. I'm still waiting. No email, no text no phone call, nothing. Totally unprofessional, not to mention the lack of common courtesy. They also stated my care giver no longer felt safe in my home. No clue what that even means since nothing in my home has changed. But I guess I'll never know since they won't communicate with me. Homecare Recharged should be called Homecare Discharged. Go elsewhere. Anywhere but there.
