Extremely rude, unprofessional and underhanded. Do not do business with these people. A family member asked me to pick up an arch for a wedding and when I arrived to pick it up I was told that I needed to sign the rental agreement for the arch. I explained that I was just the driver and not the actual responsible party for the rental item. They had already paid and had not informed me that I would be signing a lease for wedding arch I was picking up. The sales staff was very rude to me and quite frankly in my opinion they do not have an ethical system of renting out thier items. They bully unsuspecting delivery drivers into signing leases for thier equipment. Here is my story. I was the only one in the family with a truck so naturally I agreed to come pick up the arch for my sister in laws wedding when asked. When I arrived they asked me to sign a lease for the equipment I was picking up. I was not aware I would be the person legally responsible for this several thousand dollar arch. It struck me as very unprofessional and bizarre that they didn't have the party who ordered this item and paid for it sign a lease agreement beforehand and nit the unsuspecting delivery person. If anything the delivery should sign off acknowledging that they have recieved said rental items. Instead the rude and aggressive lady and gentleman at Brookfield Party Rental bullied me into signing. I tried to work something out with them regarding getting the signature from my family member and coming back they very rudely and aggressively told me no that it needs to be the person picking up the item and then told me they were canceling the order when I said I would return back later with thier signature. Of coarse I signed the multiple page fine print leagal document because I didn't want my sister in laws wedding to be ruined. Of which I didn't even have time to read due to thier threats of canceling my sister in laws rental item and unloading it from my truck. They were very rude and have terrible communication and customer service skills. They also are unethical with thier expectation and aproach to getting thier lease documents signed under duress. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. If you do rent from them don't ask someone to go pick up a rental item for you without planning for thier backwards system. read more

I had NO problems working with Brookfield Party Rentals! The ordering, delivery, and setup went great! I have family members that had bad experiences with another local party tent company, so I chose them based on the reviews I have read from different sources on the web. I liked the online ordering system, a lot. The young men that came to set-up did a awesome job and were courteous. The tent was in great shape, and the tables were newer along with the chairs. Nothing but a good experience for us. I saw some Yelp reviews about communication with the company - I only contacted them once asking for a install time, and was replied to that they didnt know until 24 hrs before the install date. She was not rude nor did she yell at me for contacting her. Again, would use for all our party needs! read more

Similar to Nicole C., for my sister's wedding, they seemed surprised that I wanted an approximate delivery time (a several hour window would be fine, I get that they can't be super precise). "Sometime on Friday" is just acceptable or helpful, guys. Morning? Afternoon? Do I need to pretend you're the cable guy and sit at home all day waiting? Additionally, 5 of the 8 glass pitchers we had ordered had chips in them, rendering them unusable -- my mom even cut herself on one while checking them over. The delivery driver claimed he had told her it was chipped, though he had not, he had shown her a different one and she then insisted on checking them all. We also found several damaged glasses, the tables were totally trashed, and the chafing dishes had bent legs so they wouldn't sit flat on the counter (the boyfriend took some pliers and fixed those -- you're welcome!). The driver first offered the excuse that "It's rental equipment," which implied to me that even though we're paying good money, we should expect crap. He then assured us he would talk to his manager and bring out replacement tables and pitchers, but while I thought he had told me he would call me (he took my name and number), when I called later that day, the manager seemed confused and told me he was coming back out by 5pm (which he ultimately did). However, I had to ASK to have the whopping $20 charge for the pitchers removed from the bill, and apparently you need to specify if your event is INDOOR, as they will send the "better" tables and chairs -- like ones with rubber feet so they don't scratch wood floors. The manager urged me to give them another try, so I duly placed our Thanksgiving order with them over the phone. My confirmation email said that I needed to provide a credit card for a deposit, so I called them back and told them to charge half to my card and half to my mom's. But if they needed a deposit, why didn't they say on the phone in the first place? Family matters then intervened and I called to cancel the order. I had to ask if the deposit would be refunded, and was first told no. Excuse me? I cancelled a week in advance, and I was given no indication when ordering that it was nonrefundable or that there was a cancellation window. When I protested, they checked with a manager and then agreed that yes, I would receive a refund. Honestly, given the problems I've experienced, I would be hesitant to recommend this company. Between delivery timing issues, payment issues, and quality issues, it seems like staying on top of them to get what I need is more trouble than it's worth. read more

Purchased a Groupon for a half price refill for a propane tank and used it today. Staff was very very VERY friendly and cheerful, almost unusually cheerful for a Monday. Propane tank was refilled quickly and I was on my way. They also appear to rent tables, chairs, tents and party equipment. Note - I did not wear the bag on fire during this as propane is extremely flammable. read more

The worst place to do business with! For any of you brides who are planning your wedding. You already have enough stress and this place will add to it. First off they told me they did not have a set up fee and that it was up to me to get the 200 chairs set up on my own. I tought that was odd being that they are a "party rental company". However the price was manageable so I went with it. Upon delivery, the guys asked, would you like to pay an additional fee for set up? What?!? After I was told they dont offer that service, I recruited and inconvenienced about 10 people to help. 2 even flew in from out of town early to be here to help. Not to mention the 200 white chairs were completely filthy and one of my bridesmaids spent hours in the heat cleaning them. Then Debbie is a witch to work with. Avoid her and her attitude at all cost! I emailed her to ask what the estimated time of delivery would be. She responded by telling me she wouldnt know until 24 hrs before the delivery date. When that time came and i hadn't heard from her all day I sent another email to which, her response came back in all caps as if she were yelling at me and still couldnt give a delivery time. When I told her I didnt appreciate being yelled at, she then told me that she always emails in caps and its hard for her to turn it off. What a bunch of bs!!! I still have all the previous emails from her and none of which are in caps. Finally the last straw was when I was told my cc would be charged the full amount on the delivery date. Which was more than perfect cause I wouldnt have to deal with it. To my surprise, one week later, on my honeymoon, I received an email from Debbie (in all lower case btw) asking for my payment. Why are you bothering me on my honeymoon for payment when you told me my cc would automatically be charged? Clearly there was nothing wrong with my cc. They just didnt charge. I responded and and told her I will call in payment when back from my honeymoon and at I would like to talk to a manager at that time. To my surprise she never responded to my email and went ahead that same day, charged my card and never sent a receipt or something asking my permission to go ahead and charge for that day. Funny how when I said I wanted to speak to manager she took my money and ran. They were authorized to take payment on the delivery date but not on that particular date. Can you believe after all this ive been trying to get ahold of the owner Harry to complain about his darling Debbie and all the inconveniences his company has caused me. Do you think he ever called me back? No! He also had Debbie email me to tell me he will be out if town for the next ciuple weeks. Which was another lie because another employee told me he was working at the state fair. What a horrible business man. This company should be called inconvenient party rentals!!! read more

I LOVED WORKING WITH Brookfield Party Rental! I recommend them to anyone that asks about renting tables, chairs, tents, etc. because they are so helpful and good at recommending what will work best. I've gone through them for family parties, birthday parties, weddings, and will continue going through them as long as I can! Their things are very tidy and the people I have worked with there all seem to be very friendly. Their prices are very reasonable and equipment is in good condition. Brookfield Party Rental makes it happen! I've been renting from Debbie for probably a decade now. And I say "from Debbie" because I used to rent from her at her former place of employment (which is no longer is business) and when Debbie left, I followed her to Brookfield. I've rented tables, chairs, centerpieces, tents, bouncehouses, etc. The only thing I can't comment on is plates/glassware/silverware (because my caterers always provide) and delivery (because I'm too cheap to pay for that). No matter what I need, she can track it down for me and she even finds me things I didn't know I needed. She'll asks the details of my event and then she'll serve up 3 or 4 ideas I hadn't even thought of. Most importantly, she tells me when my ideas aren't good or are a waste of money. I exclusively trust her knowledge of this business. I've gotten myself in a few pickles over the years (ordered the wrong kind of chairs, not enough tables, etc) and she's always able to bail me out of whatever situation I've gotten myself into within an hour or two. I had my son's graduation party this last weekend and oh boy was I impressed!! The crew was so polite and helpful... Everything was clean and the chairs we received had to have been brand new! One of the gentlemen checked every single light bulb to ensure there would not be a problem with the lighting during the event.
