Excellent barbers, been getting cut by Buddha for a while, monthly haircut package is worth it

I booked an appointment with Tia the "stylist" on April 29th for a June 2nd appointment. On May 19th, she messages me with a sob story that her baby needs medication and asks to get paid up front. Unfortunately for me I believed her and called myself trying to help. Yesterday, June 2nd comes around and I text her letting her know I'm on my way. She responds that she'd be late but should arrive at 10:30. At 10:12 she messages me that she won't be coming and that she's going to send my money back. Of course that never happens and she stops responding to my messages and blocks my number. As someone that's new to Oakland I found this experience incredibly sad and shocking. My first attempt at booking a hair appointment resulted in theft and lies. I urge anyone considering booking with Tia to think again because I'm sure she'll do the exact same as she did to me. Visited Supreme Clientele on a Tuesday afternoon for the first time. Reminded me of an old school no frills barber shop with a great old school hip hop playlist. Shoutout to Fernando-gave me a great fade and even camouflaged my bald spot. Nice line as well. Shoutout to the owner and his son as well, nice and friendly. Will definintely be going back. Very impressed with my haircut on my first visit, which was a drop-in around 5:45 pm. Barber was Tone, and he has been with the shop for two years, one year less than when the place opened. Tone was a customer before becoming one of the shop's barbers, guessing he was getting cut from the shop's owner, Brooklyn. My cut was a standard businessman's style. Trimmed the sides, ears, and back short, which is what I requested. Thinned out the top and upper sides with thinning shears. Then trimmed my beard to align with my new hair length. Both worked together providing a good overall look. Tone is a good conversationalist and my overall experience was enjoyable. Will be coming back in four weeks for a new cut and expect the same type of professionalism. read more

I would recommend this place EASILY. Junior cut me and blessed me, on a next day turn around after I got a terrible cut the day before. The first barber did me dirty, so I asked Junior to just chop what was left and reset. I was worried because I hadn't had a low cut in years, and the day after a shitty cut I was rightfully skeptical, but hands down Junior has bars. He gave me a super crispy mid taper and lineup.
