We have been looking for pizza since we moved here. This was a thin crispy (but not burned or too crunchy) crust. Great flavor on the BBQ chicken and the "meetza" pizza. A good NY style pizza this far south. We will definitely order again and try more items! read more

Local Eats Only -- Food Scout Reviewed to Save You the Guess Work. This place drips with New York attitude -- brick walls, NY license plates. But don't expect that Big Apple swagger to translate into a big Italian sandwich. They preach "Legalize Marinara," but what ought to be illegal is how stingy they are with the meat. The bread's solid -- crisp shell, good chew -- but that's about all you taste. When I think New York and Italian sandwich, I picture a deli symphony: mortadella, capicola, salami, all harmonizing in greasy glory. I wanted to share our family's experience dining at your restaurant yesterday evening. This was out first visit there. We ordered 2 calzones for my wife and I, and a New York Original, half pepperoni and half sausage for our sons. Our calzones arrived very quickly and we were told the pizza would be coming shortly. We waited a good 10 or 15 minutes and finally decided to eat our food since they were getting quite cold by then. The calzones had obviously been prepared from par coked items and then had the tops cut open to add the sausage and mushroom we requested. The calzones were quite dark and the crusts, especially at the end, were quite burned. I was unable to even cut mine with a knife. Towards the center of the calzone, the outside was a bit burned, as I noted above while the inside was quite underdone. It was really not appetizing and I could not even finish it. Honestly, I was up most of the night with stomach issues from it as well After waiting about 30 minutes total, I went inside to check on my sons' pizza, as it was still not up. It was just now coming out of the oven. Since it took so long, I asked for a box. I was surprised there wasn't a box that it would fit. While trying to get the pizza in the box, the young man was using his hands on the pizza. I finally went over to do it myself. There was an apology, but there was nothing offered to try to make this right. If I'm ordering custom calzones, why would you not simply make them fresh and bring them with the pizza that was ordered? My wife and I were nearly done with our food before we received our pizza? Bringing out food for half the party a good 20+ minutes or so before the rest of the food is really not a good choice. Attempted to email the restaurant but the email on their site is not an actual email address read more

If you're tired of just regular fast food type pizza places, this is your escape to a wonderful experience! I've been a customer of this place for over a decade and it is consistent, amazing, fast, and DELICIOUS!! They have several options in the glass soon as you walk in. Makes for a super fast pickup. We were on a road trip and needed groceries. As we pulled up to the grocery store we noticed Brooklyn Boys. Perfect! We went inside and were pleased to see how it reminded us of a New York City pizza place. I was in the area with my little niece and looking for a quick bite to eat. We grabbed a couple of sixes of cheese pizza which they heated for us and packed to go. I was happy that they sold slices because I didn't want to buy a whole pizza that day but I would get a whole pizza from here another time if I was in the area. Staff was friendly and prices seemed reasonable. I liked the NYC decor, added a nice touch. read more

Absolutely fabulous pizza, probably the best in the Lake Norman area and the prices are really reasonable. They have quite a selection of different pies that you can order by the slice but honestly, I prefer to get a fresh cooked pie right out of the oven. read more

Excellent Service. Order was ready when they said it would be. Been going to Brooklyn for a number of years but a first time for this store. Afterall, I'm less than 5 minutes from the Cornelius store but that may change. Last three times I've ordered from the Cornelius store, I would call right after noon since they open at noon and would be told it would be about 15 minutes. 15 to 20 minutes later I'm at the store and they have not even started the order yet. Not with this store. Had a small crew in at work on a Sunday and I sprang for Pizza. Called up the store, again a bit after noon and was give the standard 15 minute time. Arrived 15 minutes later, gave my name and they called out, Brooklyn Bridge Pizza and an order of Garlic Knots. Got it right here. Took it back to the plant the guys loved it. Plenty of meat and other topics in a NY Crust with plenty of other goodies as well. The garlic knots and Marinara were great as well. In the future, will definitely keep this store in mind. read more

Omg delicious!!! We were wanting pizza and salad for dinner, we picked here for dinner and keeping it small business during the lockdown. The pizza was very good, not too greasy at all, Gooey with cheese and pepperonis, the crust was not thin or thick but perfect. We also got an antipasto salad with a little of everything, salami, pepperoni, ham, Provlone, red onion, pepperoncini, cucumber, olives and tomatoes with a vinaigrette. Came through Morresville NC recently and ordered take out from Brooklyn Boys Pizza. We ordered baked ziti and lasagna with bread. We also got a side of sausage bread ( recommended by other Yelp reviewers) Everything was excellent. The sausage bread is worth ordering and the two meals were excellent. We were late arriving to a pre wedding dinner (due to hurricane Ian) so we got the takeout here. After hearing the Mexican restaurant was not that good for the wedding party, I was glad we were late. Stop here for a really great meal. read more

Great, foldable pizza! Hubby and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and our large pepperoni pizza was ready in less than 10 minutes. This is a sign of great pizza- cooked in a hot, hot over for a short amount of time. We also tried the cheesesteak - being from Philly our expectations are high. Overall it was great and probably the best cheesesteak in the area. And they had a small but great variety of beers on drafts. My only criticism is I asked to put mayo on the roll and they supplied me with packets , for a cheesesteak hoagie you want mayo on the roll prior to the meat and american cheese, then the cold stuff. In addition don't toast or heat the roll. FYI - One reviewer said the pizza was greasy, good pizza made with good cheese is greasy; I use a paper towel and dab it off. My hubby folds it and drains the greasy off. read more

Best pizza in Race City. I owe this place my business because it was my choice to wear or not to wear a mask during Covid. The owner believes in freedom and I respect that 110% I looked at all the 1 star ratings and it's sad to see a ton of people complaining about no mask mandate in this business for employees or customers. You all should be banned from walking in the door at Brooklyn Boys for trashing this guy's reviews over his belief in freedom. read more

Thursday at 9:25pm tried to call them- no answer so I drive up there and they have locked the door and are inside chit chatting & hanging out. If you have store hours- adhere to them. It's unprofessional and a waste of other people's time. read more

Customer service was below mediocre. I ordered a regular pepperoni they said 10-15 min. Sat and waited for 40 min. Unbelievable. The lack of gloves in the back is a little unsettling. So many people just sitting around. Food is great. Wish the service and communication was better. read more

BEST PIZZA EVER!!!! Get a slice of the Stuffed Meat Pizza. Or a slice of the Buffalo Chicken. Wait, no, don't get the Buffalo Chicken because if there isn't a slice when I get there I'm not gonna be happy. Get a bunch of Garlic Knots though. Or get anything else they make because everything is so good! We've been here once a week since we recently moved to the area and have yet to have a bad experience and the staff is always super friendly. #ThankYouThursday to everyone at Brooklyn Boys Pizza! read more

We had a great time checking our Brooklyn Boys - casual atmosphere, reasonable prices, solid selection of beer, good food and nice staff! One of the guys saw I was carrying an infant and ran over to offer to grab a high chair for me. We went on a Friday night and it was busy but not too slammed, either. We had the garlic knots and large cheese for two adults + two kids and it was perfect. We'll definitely be back! read more

I like the salads with fruit, and this one was wonderful. Novanta means 90 in Italian, which is the 90 seconds it takes to cook the pizza. It goes into the 900-degree Italian wood-fired oven. The pizza was a true Neapolitan with the soft, airy crust and a little bit of char on it. It tasted as good as it looked. I wanted a second pizza after my first slice, but I had trouble finishing the first and had to take half of the salad to go. I did love every bite of the margherita pizza and salad. If I lived closer, I'd eat here weekly as the food is that good. This is a hidden gem.

We ate a pizza tonight in your dining room - probably the 4th or 5th one we've gotten. Your pizza is good. But it will be our last because of the "Let's Go Brandon" sticker on your pizza oven. I honestly don't care which political side you support, but when you post a vile and divisive sticker where your customers can see it, you obviously aren't afraid to disrespect whatever my views may be. Let me be clear. If the sticker had said, "Trump 2020" it would have been different. But it said "F* Joe Biden". I won't patronize a company that is disrespectful and divisive. Great pizza but is a cesspool of Covid 19. None of the employees wear a mask or follow the CDC guidelines. The kitchen employees do not wear a mask or gloves as they prepare or handle your food. Customers do a better job of wearing a mask but many do not because the restaurant employees do not wear one themselves. If you ask any employees as to why no one wears a mask. Their response is that the owners do not believe in masks so they leave the decision up the the employees who are a all in their teens. We used to eat there every Friday but had to stop. We cannot even do a take out because we do not want to risk going inside. read more

Apparently the owner "doesn't believe in masks" so it really makes you wonder if he believes in healthy cleaning habits either. Was going to give them a shot, regardless of the negative feedback online and from friends of the weak food, but hearing that from the business owner made everything make sense. I would give a 5 star for food and 3 for service. If you like spicy pizza try the buffalo chicken pizza. If you like normal pizza try the stuffed meat. It is a great place to switch out the monotonous pizzas for something different. The service is not great, but that doesn't matter to much if you get carry out. read more

Stuffed with deli meats, cheeses, veggies, and dressings, it is the quintessential New York City term for what the rest of the country calls a sub, hoagie, or grinder. The so call "hero" I ordered consisted of light dry tuna in a bit of tasteless mayo (I guess it was mayo, no flavor) and a bit of chopped onion and celery. Now, the roll, the roll was basically a large hot dog roll. Not stale but definitely not fresh, also no flavor and soft -- definitely not a sub, hero, hoagie, zep, grinder or anything other than a tuna sandwich on a big tasteless hot dog bun -- definitely nothing close to a proper bun. No lettuce, no tomato, no cheese, nadda. I ate a bit less than half when I got home because it was edible and I was pretty hungry. Today I got the leftover half and added some brand name mayonnaise (no Duke or Hellmanns arguments here), fresh tomatoes, lettuce, slice of cheese and it made a difference.
