We ordered the stuffed meat pizza and it was so good! They have marinara sauce on the side, which is great so everyone can put however much they want on their slices. The staff was so friendly, and very personable. They really care about their customers. They felt bad we had to wait a bit for the pizza to cook (because its fresh and 18"), so they threw in free wings for us which they absolutely didn't have to do. Ordered White cheese pizza with garlic & pepperoni in person on-site Sunday 11/26. Sadly, the pie was very dry. i watched it being cooked an all seemed OK . All the ingredients were there, but it was either sauced too light or overcooked. I ended up throwing away 1/2 of the overcooked crust. So I wont go back for any more than a slice. it was in effect a $60.00 pizza. Sad, many high expectations of a nice wet thin NY Pizza. read more

Pizza is actually quite decent, but man, let's talk about an appliance right behind the register. Do not recommend. Although the workers were friendly and generous the food was not good. The cheese separates , no cheese pull. Garlic knots weren't even served to us warm they were room temp. They didn't have any salt and the red sauce was served cold with the room temp knots. The pizza sauce and cheese was all mushed together . If I closed my eyes the pizza had okay flavor at best but I will absolutely not be spending money there ever again. read more

Ordered for a delivery of a Large pizza with onions and mushrooms and an order for buffalo wings. The pizza arrived with olives and mushrooms. (Soggy bottomed crust.) The 7 wings were from an emaciated baby chicken and not worth the $8 charge. When I called the store about the wrong ingredients on the pizza they seemed to not care and tried to hurry me off the call. Although I could choose to go pick up another pizza, they said I had to call grub hub because it was grub hubs fault. They didn't apologize or take any fault for the wrong order. Unfortunately customer satisfaction is not of any interest. Total order came to over $50.00. Grub hub refunded me $25 for the uneatable pizza. Therefore I was essentially charged $25 for 7 scrawny cold chicken wings. Good luck. read more

I was literally the first customer here when they opened their doors all those years ago, 10 minutes after they opened their doors for the first time. Had to get cash from an ATM because their credit card machine hadn't even arrived yet. If they still have that "first dollar" framed on the wall, it's probably mine. Today was the last day I'll ever be back. Arrived to find the place empty, we were the only customers. Ordered four slices between the two of us, they managed to nearly light them in fire they left them in so long. The young guy working there didn't even ask us if we wanted to wait longer for them to be redone, just threw them out and popped new slices in. He left THOSE in for so long they were half burnt, and when he pulled one out, the whole tip was crispy and melting off the spatula and he took his bare hands to grab the glob and reshape it back onto the top of the slice. Told him I didn't want that one anymore and he started giving me serious attitude about how he "touches all the pizza and its fine". I insisted on a new slice, and he kept going on about how "he would still eat that one because his hands are definitely clean". I told him no, asked for a refund, got even more attitude, and then he calls the owner over and says to refund me for the one slice. Gives me more attitude when I reiterate that we don't want any of the burnt, handsy pizza, and want the whole amount back and would be leaving, the owner tells him to just do it and he tears the cash out of the register and slams it into my hand with a "whatever". I never even got the $5 tip back I left beforehand. It takes one germ infested unwashed hand and bad employee attitude to ruin a place forever, even for a very long-time loyal customer. We're done. Two stars only because the owner didn't waste time but too little too late for us. read more

Price and taste are good. Love that they offered a variety of toppings. It's hard to find a pizza spot that has slices with chicken as a topping or different veggies, so I was happy to come here and see that they did. We are HUGE fans of Brooklyn Boyz. It's just down the hill from us so it's convenient, and the vibe is perfectly New York in there. My boyfriend is from Brooklyn originally so he feels right at home and fits in perfectly with all the other loud mouth New Yawkahs. LOL. The owner is friendly and efficient, talks to you...but not too much. Not all over you, but will hold a decent conversation while you're in there...if you want. Perfect. The kids that work there are all friendly and it's fun to see "behind the scenes" when they're making the pizza. They have 2 wines. Red, or White. And a healthy pour, in a Solo Cup. Yaaasssssssss. They have beers on tap, some crafty brews, etc. Menu highlights for me are the Salad Pizza, Stromboli, most of the slices....the garlic knots. Really everything is good. And so healthy LOL. The real test is my boyfriend. He is super particular about Pizza. Perfect Pizza Crust according to him, and typically he gets Sausage and Onion, or Pepperoni Mushroom, he doesn't mess around, he definitely is not a fan of the Salad Pizza but hey, we're in California. This is what we do. We love this place and will definitely be back! if you sign up for their text alert loyalty program thing, you get texts when they have a special, happy hour, etc. Great marketing. And....I was saying how my first job was at a pizza place when they were making dough balls the last time we were there...and how I thought I could probably still make a decent dough ball, and the owner was like "prove it" and tossed me a dough and let me make a ball. There's a few good pizza places in town and most will agree, when it comes to NY style pies or slices, you can probably count those places on one hand. Brooklyn Boyz Pizza is absolutely on that list and the place, certainly meets one of the biggest requirements when it comes to this, "the owner(s) being from NY". If you don't go, you don't know. And if you haven't spent time in the big apple to discover what makes a NY pizza a "NY pizza", don't say you know. Most will argue it's the water and hey, that may be the start of a making a NY style pizza but I think there's a lot more going on as well including the dough, the sauce, the cheese and cooking it at a high temp and quickly.
