I don't like the dentist. I've had horrible teeth all my life and I usually don't have a good experience. This is my second dentist in 2 years and I'm sticking with these guys! The staff and front office is wonderful. They remember your name, they greet you and they honestly remember the interactions you've had with them. It makes you feel at ease and at home. I've referred two friends here. The hygienists are very knowledgeable and honest with you. Dr. Aft is honest and kind. She performed my root canal. She's swift and to the point. She explains everything well and thoroughly, highly recommend. Dr. Bral is also great. He performed my 4 wisdom teeth extraction. He is welcoming, gentle and friendly. If you feel nervous and anxious, he's a great doctor to calm you down. Small office with COVID friendly waiting area, they make you sign a waiver and check your temperature every time you have an appointment. Extremely rude right from the start. You will be charged 99$ no matter what insurance you have just for the visit. They wanted to overcharge me 1400$ for an extraction which at every other dentist in the city is at the most 100$ Not to mention the over 4k they wanted for a root canal. Before you can take your blue bib off applications from 3rd party loan offices start coming in via text. Major cash grab operation, they not interested in actually helping people fix their dental needs. If you like being overcharged and being treated with no respect then this is your place. I really enjoy coming too Brooklyn City Dental. When I had my cavity pulled out, they were making sure that I was calm. They were there with me the whole time while I was with my mom. They also allowed me to watch a move on Netflix. When I had came for a second appointment they said that I was ok, the people were very nice as usual and did a very great job of taking great care of me during the process. All the great reviews on Google seems unreal to me. I had a cleaning in early January and I just found out from my insurance company they just received the paper work yesterday (March 12th). I never had to pay up front $250 for a cleaning and they said they will billed my insurance after. I never experience this before. I did not get any x rays done. Only a cleaning and a whatever exam they gave. My insurance company told me they tried to bill $1,400. So after I get reimbursement, I still have to pay over $100 for a cleaning where I never had to pay any out of pocket in my life. They were being so pushy on xrays but I refused. They also asked for my driver license to make a copy which I never experienced before too. This place is crap. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS SCAM DENTAL JOINT AGAIN. read more

I have a hunch they are deleting their low starred reviews from Google so I'm posting here instead! Two stars for the kind front desk staff and the slight "discount" they gave me due to their mistake on my tooth. I am very grateful they were able to put an end to my tooth infection on a Sunday when most dentists were closed, but the road there was beyond miserable. I told the dentist I had a deep fear of needles and was promptly ignored. When I jerked away from the initial anesthesia shot, the doctor looked bored and said nothing until I opened my mouth again. He said he would do a better job than the NYU student who did my initial root canal that led to the infection...only to snap a file off into my gum mid-procedure and not tell me until 10 minutes later. He said "sometimes mistakes happen" and that now we had to remove the tooth completely. I broke down sobbing at that point but hey! at least I only had to pay for the tooth extraction now! Started scream/sobbing at the second anesthesia injection (I'm not kidding about the needle fear lol) and cried until the end of the procedure. I suppose they finally realized how poorly I was doing because a second dentist came in to provide mental support during the tooth extraction. Thanks? I guess. Huge love and appreciation for the front desk person who gave me a squeezable mango to hold because they could all hear me at this point. Minus appreciation for the dentists who didn't take my fear of needles seriously and for brushing off their mistake as "something dentists do." It may have been nothing, just a slight glitch in the system, to you, but for me, it meant a week + of trauma. This operation was in August and 4 months later I still get depressed thinking about it. read more

I was on leave of absence from my job at Amazon which what my insurance was through. I explained I was having really bad ADHD issues and am not sure when I'd be returning to my job or if I would even able to at all. I needed a tooth extracted from severe pain. They insisted a root canal, I insisted to just take it out. After the extraction they inquired about what I wanted to do about the missing teeth. With bloody gauze hanging out of my mouth I explained again, I'm not sure if I'd be returning to my job that covers my insurance. But I would eventually like to get a bridge or something in the future. The office manager came in with some paper work for me to sign. I wasn't sure what it was it just looked like the treatment case of the extraction. I just wanted to be done with it. As I was leaving the receptionist handed me some paper work explaining the bill, that I wouldn't be charged for the extraction as my insurance covered it and the brake down of the billing for the bridge work would be covered as well and to just make more appointments. I took the paper and left and didn't return as I didn't feel comfortable with the whole situation. Years later to find out they put in a loan with Lending Club regardless of not ever having been back to get it done. Lending Club has sent the bill to collections massively effecting my credit. Now I have to file all kinds of disputes, cease and desist, and letters to correct the negative marks despite services not being rendered. It's called Predatory Lending. They clearly don't actually care to keep up with what's actually going on with their patients As Long As They Get Paid. read more

Contacted this dentist to schedule a cleaning and checkup. Filled out types of form online, sent them copies of my insurance card and drivers license. Confirmed appointment via text message. Arrived at office, filled out more forms, gave them my drivers license and insurance card again for them to make copies of it. Then was informed that I would have to lay out the full cost of the cleaning and checkup and I would have to file for reimbursement from my insurance company. Never had to do this with any other dentist and told them this was ridiculous and walked out of the office. Total waste of time. Guess I looked like some type of criminal and they assumed I was pulling some type of scam. Highly insulting and nasty office. Avoid this office. read more

I have had so many bad experiences at this dentist and I am stuck finishing my implant with them because no one will touch someone else's work. Let's start with appt 1, the extraction in sept, First dentist couldn't get my tooth out so she gets another dentist who comes in with latex gloves and puts them in my mouth when my chart clearly says I'm allergic to latex!!!! Appt 2. Again. Had to remind dentist I'm allergic to latex because he put them on again. Why are they not looking at my chart? Why is that warning not bigger!?? Appt 3. I got a crown on a tooth the end of September by a different dentist than the first two. I have been complaining about the shape and saying it doesn't feel right and none of the other dentists at the office would fix it. I had to see the dentist at the practice that did it. It's march and i only just got an appt with her. Appt 4 Implant installed. My appt was for 5:30. I am a hairstylist so I had to close my day off early to make this appt and I was there on time. I was sitting in a room with no one telling me what was going on until about 6:30, when I got up and was ready to walk out. At 6:30 the dentist finally came in and numbed me. But didn't come back until around 7:15 so my numbing was already gone and I had to be numbed again. Then he didn't tell me that there was a risk of the screw going into my sinus until it happened. He then just told me I'm going to bleed down my throat and to not blow my nose for a week. And then said nothing else to make me more comfortable. I had to make an appt with another dentist office for a second opinion about what he did to me because I was so uncomfortable with what happened and how he treated me. Appt 5 cleaning. Go in for a cleaning and the hygienist is just rude I asked for some topical numbing and mint tooth paste instead of fruit and she acted like it was a big deal I explained that one tooth (the tooth behind where the tooth that was extracted was) was bothering me and I have been saying it to all the other dentists at my precious appts but they told me the tooth was fine because they looked at my x-rays but performed no other tests, they just acted like I was wrong. The hygienist then told that I grind my teeth, need a night guard. Need my wisdom teeth out and that I have gum recession and that's why the tooth is bothering me. 4th dentist that I have had at this office comes in still tells me it's a fine tooth and tried to leave it there but I persisted. Finally he does a test on the tooth with cold air. It's a dead tooth and now needs a $1900 root canal blames it on me. So I go back to my second opinion dentist and she told me it wasn't me it was because they didn't check and adjust my bite after the extraction and because of that I have been putting all the pressure on that one tooth when I chew or bite down, so much that it damaged the nerve and that was the cause of the root canal being needed. So she adjusted my bite and now the tooth isn't bothering me but I will still need the root canal. She also confirmed that I DO NOT grind my teeth and I DO NOT need a mouth guard. Also that maybe my wisdom teeth will need to go eventually but right now they are okay. Appt 6 the tooth was supposed to be put on the implant finally! But it didn't happen because they canceled about 30 minutes before my appt. So they rescheduled me for this wed. I again took time off from work to make the appt and again canceled on me. And now I am again forced to take time off another week so that I can hopefully get this tooth finished and never look back. Do not go to this dentist. Don't be fooled by the cool branding and the tvs and other amenities. They will rip you off and do more damage to your teeth than you went in with. I will never recommend this dentist. In fact I have recommended all my salon clients to stay away from this dentist. read more

Amazing dentist!! This is my first visit to a dentist since moving to NY a year ago I wouldn't go anywhere else. I hadn't gone to the dentist in a few years so I knew I would have a number of cavities. I had to do 5 fillings but this place made it so easy for me. Very clean, efficient and informative! Best experience I've had at a dentist! Now I'm not afraid to go back regularly and get cleanings, checkups, etc. The receptionist and all assistants, including the financial advisor were very helpful and incredibly kind. Brooklyn City Dental (formerly Dental Made Easy) is hands down my favorite dental provider I've ever had. I started with a check up, was hand held through the process of wisdom teeth extraction I had avoided for years, and was walked through financial assistance for Invisalign. I love that I can schedule and get reminders through text with the amazing and warm front desk staff. Everyone I've encountered makes my 6-week check up visits something I look forward to, especially because they prioritize meeting with the same dentist for each visit. Walked-in for a regular check up and cleaning at advertised price! I end up paying double the price and the job was not fully done! In good faith I came back to finish weeks later the job I needed but all they tried is to push to charge me again and do other work I was not ready for.
