After frantically calling several dentist offices, I made the trek from Astoria to Bright Smile Dental as they were the ONLY office open and promised to squeeze me in for an emergency appointment. I've been coming a few years now. Unfortunately they no longer accept my insurance. However my daughter had a dental emergency and they were able to take her the same day. I previously googled the emergency dental hotline and that was a joke. Grateful she's doing much better and she was accommodated asap. Never any long waits, no issues with parking. So I went to these ppl as my veneer chipped and I had work the next day. To my surprise they said they have a PAY FIRST system and can't even look at my tooth without me paying the ridiculous price they wanted for 1 tooth. Anyways me being desperate as it was already late and I had work the next day whipped out my card and gave it to them. They came bk the dentist then came in and started checking out my tooth n then fixed it. Waited about half hour after cause my bf was picking me up, did the wheel spin game thingy they got and did a massage in their chair for like 10 mins... fast forward to weeks after these ppl are calling and harrassing me talking about I need to check my bank statement because they're not seeing the payment urm miss and sir I gave yall my card wtf did yall do just hold it and give me back??? I came here for an emergency because I was in excruciating pain. The doctor gave me an emergency root canal. I really like the doctor here and the staff are very kind. Unfortunately they do not take my insurance If they did take my insurance I would 100% use this office as my main dentist. I highly recommend this dentist office. read more

Visiting this dental practice was one of the worse mistakes I've ever made. This review relates to a procedure that took places about 2 years ago with a Dr. Angelica Silivria who was asked to treat me at this office. She had to treat a cavity on one of my front teeth. After she placed the filling the tooth was quite sensitive. I asked if this was normal, and she said it would go away 'in a few weeks'. The tooth remained quite sensitive for the next several weeks. At the time I did not realize it, but the tooth was dying (painful, sensitive). When I came back from my trip and visited another dentist I was told that the work was done poorly and that I needed a root canal. When the nerve was removed it was already dead, that was the extent of the damage. I had a crown placed over the tooth. I will have to live with this type of smile forever. What should have been a simple procedure was completely botched. Now I'm a relatively young man with a crown on a front tooth, due to this dentist's lack of expertise. At the time when she treated me, she had little experience, which I later learned. I had been going to this practice for years up until that point, and afterward I never returned, for good reason. read more

Overall a terrible experience. All they are interested is money, but prices are beyond reasonable. I was charged 75 dollars for an initial examination and while already in the chair I asked if they charge additionally for x-rays, they said they don't charge for necessary x-rays. So then they offered me a treatment plan beyond my finance (now I already found another dentist in Brooklyn with more affordable prices) and when I refused they were trying to convince me to pay out of pocket immediately. When they failed they charged +50 dollars for x-rays. It is not professional to give vague answer to direct questions when a customer needs teeth fixed and is already in a chair and just stressed out. Would never recommend anyone them! read more

It's nice that Bright Smile called me despite no longer taking insurance but they said I could come in which I assumed the insurance would cover the checkup. Since I had already been informed of no insurance, my circumstances dictated I find a dentist who was accepting of the insurance, which I did. Cleaning and Xrays are at least $150 and I found an excellent dental office willing to accept the insurance coverage. read more

Thank goodness there are dentists like Dr. Khrakovsky! Dr. Khrakovsky has been my go-to dentist for a few years now and I cannot say enough about him. It was tough to find a dentist that wasn't trying to up-sell me in doing procedures that were unnecessary. His work is amazing and I am always so happy with the results. Dr. Khrakovsky and his team are incredible. Each individual I met was positive, friendly and smiling - but even more telling was the respect, teamwork and professionalism the staff showed each other!
