We are visiting from Texas and came here with my brother who lives in Bville on his suggestion. We tried the special, the Cuban and the egg and olive. The half sandwiches are HUGE!! The special was a 4.5/5, Cuban 5/5 and egg olive 3/5. Mac and cheese was not bad but could have used a layer of fresh melted cheese on top. Definitely worth a try. read more

Best sandwich I ever wolfed down. The ingredients were fresh, the bread was as soft as my pillow and the price was unbelievably reasonable for the size of my sandwich. Service was quick and professional. The waiting line to order at peak time moved steadily. I was totally impressed from the minute I entered the restaurant. Love to get the French Onion soup from this location, because every time, I get a little bit of the beef from which the base was made! Its like a little freebee. The food in general is pretty OK, but when it comes to sandwiches, I find it hard to get excited about one. This is no exception. I eat here all the time, there staff is friendly and efficient. It is right in the neighborhood and I have never had a better sandwich then the BP Special with banana peppers. If I could eat that sandwich everyday I would. I ate here a couple days ago and two weeks ago. I can always count on the BP Special to make my day a little bit more special (get it?). read more

SO good!! The staff is really on the ball and regardless of the line, get customers served really efficiently! The pickles are (obviously) great. The amount of food for the money is really worth it. Brooklyn Pickle put me in a pickle. I came here with my squash team to grab a bite to eat before seeing this sick band play in Buffalo. When we saw the name of this place, we thought, "Dang. This place is going to have some GREAT pickles. Great pickles mean a great sandwich." How terribly, terribly wrong we were. As a devoted pescetarian, tuna sandwiches are a staple of my daily life. I don't have the privilege of enjoying buffalo chicken or a lean sliced turkey. My tongue will never meet the sweet, tender surface of a meatball sub on a cold winter night. But in my time of need, tuna always comes through. This humble fish has leaped out of the ocean and into my heart. In a world of carnivores at the deli bar in the dining common, I can survive because of this beautiful, selfless creature. Tuna is love. Tuna is life. Tuna is my everything. In fact, I recently impregnated my girlfriend, and I fully intend to my future child "Tuna Fische." Brooklyn Pickle has desecrated the name of my savior. Understand, I've made and eaten a LOT of tuna sandwiches in my life. I have mastered the perfect ratio of tuna to bread. I know how to perfectly balance lettuce, tomato, tuna, and grain to portray the sweet flavorful fish in the most favorable way possible. Brooklyn Pickle, however, clearly does not hold the same reverence for tuna. They slapped an absurd amount of tuna on my sandwich, making the bread soggy to the point of absolute blasphemy. I was personally and spiritually offended by this act. But it gets worse. The Brooklyn Pickle, in a desperate effort to support their titular legacy, included pickles with the sandwich, perhaps in an attempt to redeem themselves for their cardinal aquatic sin. I expected the pickle of a lifetime. I received a run-of-the-mill dill that left me unsatisfied. Overall, Brooklyn Pickle is a mediocre establishment. Decent service. Forgettable pickles. But the way that they have desecrated the tuna fish sandwich -- my love, my life, my everything -- is simply unforgivable. read more

Today I ordered a tuna sub and it was honestly inedible. The tuna tasted disgusting and the bread wasn't fresh. I have had Brooklyn pickle another time prior and it was just average. I'm super disappointed because a majority of the reviews rock and we found this place based off of Yelp. read more

Stopped in at 11am on a Monday to get my 93 year old grandfather sandwich for lunch. The service was a new level of rude. The woman with a long brown ponytail barely grunted out any acknowledgement that I was asking a question and then proceeded to ignore any questions I was asking before slamming the bag on the counter. Not only will I never return, I will go out of my way to let people know how poor the experience was there. Smiling and being friendly are free. read more

Delicious. Quality meat, rolls and ingredients. Eat here a couple times a month or lunch. I normally try to avoid the Noon rush (as with any place) but wasn't able to last Friday. Line out the door. I wish I liked this place, because my husband seems to, but after 5 or 6 visits, I have yet to find anything I would order again. It is such a disappointment. The sandwiches are just okay at best, some of the soups are fairly good, the pickles are the worst I've ever tasted, and the place looks like it needs a thorough cleaning. I ordered a Brooklyn pickle sandwich.. after it was made all it had on it was turkey. The turkey sandwich that was ordered had mayo on it, instead of remaking the entire sandwich the employee took the turkey off the old sandwich and put it on the new one. read more

I lived in Syracuse during my highschool days and every time I go back, I have to stop by Brooklyn Pickle. They have the absolute best Italian subs Ive ever had. High quality meats, delicious bread, and the italian tomatoes are to die for. I live in San Diego now and wish we had a place that even came close to Brooklyn Pickle! Solid sandwiches! Only 4 stars as I was unimpressed by their macaroni salad, it sadly tasted like it was entirely mayo. A great local alternative to Subway or JJ's. Choice of sub or sandwich, and a huge variety of filling options. I've enjoyed the hearty "egg and olive," as well as their quality deli cuts. A fun, buyant atmosphere and absolutely huge, fresh sandwiches. Everytime I'm in the area, I love to stop at the Brooklyn Pickle. Bring a friend so you can share a great, big sandwich. BP Chicken noodle soup is my favorite cute to any sickness. Always a great sandwich and salads are great size for the price.

Bread is closer to Wonder bread than any real deli rye or pumpernickel. Meat is shaved and unappealing. Knish was probably frozen to begin with, and microwaved to consistency of cardboard. The portions are certainly huge though. read more

For years growing up my family from across our beautiful country always came together over what was our favorite sub and sandwich shop. We bragged and reminisced about the best Ruben in town, our state and sometimes excitedly possibly the whole country. Today I was embarrassed and beyond dissapointed in our years of countless praise of the Brooklyn Pickle. Every sandwich and I say this because our family ordered over a dozen sandwiches was a joke. The Rubens especially of which we for decades raved were the equivalent of a prepacked gas station sandwich. Rarely do you see a family reunited from across the country complain endlessly in dissapointment about what those living locally would have thought would have been assumingly a great meal. Seriously, terrible customer service I understand but when all your meats taste mechanically separated, your breads frozen and condiments the cheapest crap you can purchase by the four gallon case... You should stop pretending to be a local institution and franchise your joke of a concept so you can die in another country rich read more

I've been to Brooklyn Pickle sporadically over the last decade or two but tonight's visit showed me how far downhill the place has really gone. I ordered a Reuben to go. Now they use thin sliced rye, paper thin shaved corn beef (heavily processed since it is all the same color), sauerkraut and two slices of cheese for a full sandwich. They don't grill it like they used to but microwave it (what the frack?). And instead of a quarter or half of a dill pickle, now you get 4-6 slices of the worst pickle I ever had, maybe rancid). The bread is so thin that it is literally falling apart from the sauerkraut juice by time you get home. Thanks, I'll pass next time. It used to be good. read more
