Local small business with excellent food. We have sampled a few of the pizza and pasta dishes and all have been fantastic.

I've been a loyal customer for 8 years now and in the past six months have seen the eggplant parm go up ~33% in less than a year. That seems like a lot to me. I understand that things get more expensive and price increases are to be expected. When I originally started going in 2018/19, the eggplant was $13+ tax. However, appears to have gone up by 33% over the past eight months which seems excessive to me. It certainly isn't in line with peer restaurant increases. And the thing is, I don't feel the quality has been maintained. They changed vendors on their Italian dressing several years ago (the Greek is a fair substitute) but sometimes if I let the dish sit for too long to cool, the cheese gets hard and "plastic-like." I've literally almost choked on it at times and have started to question whether I want to continue purchasing it because I've had serious misgivings about what's truly in that cheese...... This was our go-to place for pizza and pasta for over 10 years, and we were always pleased with the food and service. Unfortunately, since the business was sold, the quality has noticeably declined under the new ownership. We were disappointed to find that the food no longer meets the high standards we had come to expect. It's sad to see such a longtime favorite change so much, and we hope the new owners will take steps to improve the quality and restore the restaurant's former reputation. read more

We had the Sicilian pizza and it was excellent! Humorously, the person that made the pizza wasn't familiar with the pizza saver, the little table used to keep the top of the box off of the cheese. They inverted several and put them on the dough, the put the sauce and cheese on top of them with the 3 legs sticking out of the pizza. I have to admit that I've never seen that before. it seems there are new owners of this establishment. The cozy family atmosphere that once was is no longer the vibe. Food is not what it used to be with portions smaller. Staff morale doesn't have the same vibe and service is not up to the usual quality. I'm very disappointed in the many changes. read more

Great customer service and delicious food! The pizza on the bottom was a bit soggy but still edible that's the only reason for the 4 star rating. My husband discovered this restaurant about six years ago, and it quickly became one of our favorite places for authentic Italian food and good service. Something must have happened lately. Last night, my husband and I went there for our weekly date night. We were excited to enjoy some wine and good Italian food. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. None of the waitresses smiled or greeted us warmly. Instead, we felt like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. The waitress came to our table with no smile or greeting and immediately asked what we wanted to drink. My husband ordered a half carafe of red wine, and she brought only one wine glass. It seemed odd, as if it was assumed I would need to order my own wine rather than share with my husband. I ordered the Pasta Calamari, and my husband ordered a large two-topping pizza. A few minutes later, she brought my salad and only one plate for the pizza, as if my husband and I were two separate parties rather than a couple dining together. As we waited, we noticed that two other tables that were seated after us received their food before us. After 1 hour and 15 minutes, we still had no food, no bread that should have come with my entrée, and no updates from the waitress about our order. Finally, my husband got the waitress's attention and asked about the bread. She said they hadn't made it yet but would bring it later. She also told us that an 18-inch pizza is not easy to make and that was why other people were getting their pizzas before us. Later, the manager came over and told us that he dropped our pizza, and it had to be remade. The problem wasn't just the delay--it was the complete lack of communication. Our waitress never updated us, never checked on our order, did not bring hot bread or make our wait any easier, and never seemed concerned about how long we had been waiting. When the food finally arrived, so did the bread and my Pasta Calamari. By then, we had lost our appetite. The pasta with red sauce was not visually appealing, and there was very little visible calamari. We decided to leave disappointed. Compared to our previous visits, the prices have increased noticeably, while the food quality, service, and overall atmosphere have declined. It felt like a completely different restaurant from the one we used to enjoy. Sadly, this sounds like what happens when owners stop focusing on good service and quality food. Came into town for a job and saw this Gem on the way.... Excellent service! Amanda was the best! Great vibes, Even with all my requests.....she was amazing! Great atmosphere the menu has a great selection traditional dishes. Reminds me of NY menus. I've never lived in NY... but I've eaten there many times! For appetizer I had the pasta fagioli... brought back a lot of great memories (I didn't take pics.. I was so hungry I forgot) The knots are sooo good! (Pictured) They have this soft Crunch outside and soft in the inside! So good! Getting the shrimp scampi as a meal... it was great... shrimp was fresh and it WASNT over cooked! First time in tonight and let me start by saying how refreshing it was to walk into a packed house bursting with Italian dinner music and the hum of dinner conversation. And don't get me started on the aroma of fresh baked Italian food wafting in the air. Ordered the Tour of Brooklyn which included lasagna, cheese manicotti, rigatoni as well as one meatball and a sausage. Also came with side salad and two garlic knots. My husband ordered a chicken parm sub. All of the food was served piping hot and fresh. The red sauce is amazing. The bread and chicken on the sub was delicious. I enjoyed my meal and could only finish half. We brought home enough to have dinner tomorrow. Great garlic knots. The server was so kind and efficient and kept our drinks full. We ordered cannolis to go for later. The restaurant was clean. Smoke parking outside. The turned the tables to keep the wait time for others low. Been there before and loved it. Went today early, because it's Saturday and Valentines Day. Was seated at 3:15, ordered food at 3:30. We left without being served at 5:00. Waitress NEVER came to the table to explain, asked her how much longer it would be at 4:45-she never came back to the table. Another table left right before us. Brooklyn Pizza WAS excellent and we ordered multiple large pies delivered for family pool parties several times each month. However, our last month (June) the deliveries were late, cold, crust tasted like an English Muffin and the toppings skimpy (like 4 or 5 pepperoni on a slice). Have been here several times to get various things including Pizza, subs, etc... Last night we went for dinner and it really blew our socks off! I got the Chicken Sorrento and my wife got an Italian Beef sandwich. First off I loved my Chicken Sorrento, it was full of flavor and had plenty on the plate! Definitely enough to get two full dinners from. My wife ordered Italian beef and got it with gardinera. She loved it and let me try and I can confirm it was great. Awesome Italian themed restaurant in the middle of a quiet shopping plaza. Once you walk in every single table is taken and I totally understand why with the amazing food. They have all types of Italian dishes including large Brooklyn style pizza, chicken parmigiana, cannolis for dessert and more! I ordered a large Brooklyn pizza that is bigger than your head. My husband was able to get a gluten free pizza which he enjoyed. My only suggestion would be to offer vegan cheese. They also have a great/affordable kids menu. My son got noodles and butter. Visited for a weekday lunch on the recommendation of a coworker. So glad we went with our gut and trusted his recommendation. The dining room was buzzing with a good amount of patrons by noon but still had a number of empty tables so seating was fast and easy. We were greeted promptly and were brought drinks fast. My friend ordered stuffed mushrooms and chicken Sorrento. She considers herself a "stuffed mushroom connoisseur" and said these were easily the BEST stuffed mushrooms she has ever had. She ate the whole appetizer without planning to! She loved her chicken sorrento and my chicken piccata was so tasty! The chicken and pasta were perfectly cooked, the lemon butter sauce had great flavor and the capers were great! If I'm being honest, the garlic knots were "ok, not the best but not horrible. I would have liked more butter and garlic, they were a little dry for my liking. We got to meet Robin, the owner, who was so sweet and gracious! Great food if you can get service. We've been several times and even sat there with no A/C one time. The past 3 visits were around 5pm we walked right in and got seated with menus but waited 15 to 20 mins for any of the multiple wait staff standing by the window shooting the breeze and laughing to even notice we were there.
